I guess the product has iterations over the years as an complex evolved CMS but the overall tough learning curve it brings to the table is of no use in the modern world. Learning curve, Administrations skills, tonnes of wiki to search on issues, Issues do not resolve via patches as are windows products. from a CMS point of view maybe it has all the features but not all of the necessities to offset an administrator is there. Recommendations to others considering Drupal: Not recommended.Unless you have an Administrator with full PHP skills and versed in Linux do not use this product.There are more easier modern era knowledge products with better way to use the assets. Well, Drupal is a great CMS for enterprise users. Who wants to adopt their large scalable high functional web portal into a secured CMS. As per I know, Drupal is the most secured CMS than any other CMS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Drupal? Very limited options for backend users. Drupal also has fewer modules/plugins than Joomla or Wordpress. And most of the plugins are paid. Drupal doesn't have a good interface for users also. If you are not a tech person and are just familiar with other CMS then Drupal will disappoint you. This is a so-called CMS but the truth is, you have to make changes to the codes. The only thing I like about using Drupal is how simple it is to do the basic things you need to do. I dislike how difficult it is to make things custom for my site. Unless you are familiar with coding, everything seems to take much longer than on other site developers I'm familiar with. This solves the problem of allowing individuals to update and access their respective information instead of forcing all edits to go through one single person. Mods are really a pain in the butt (the content area). Not intuitive at all. Takes forever to create a page because of it. Not as customizable as wordpress. Some latest updates are beginning to loose pace. Example, Drupal has a module to compile to PWA. Yet, it like other open sources - we are asked to use it at our own risk. If you compare Drupal to Wordpress for example, this type of enhancements are very widely available. In fact, you can easily find discussion forum about it. Also, Drupal may have e-commerce modules. Yet, it is not as lucrative as Wordpress which you can instantly set ECWID or a free WooCommerce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Recommendations to others considering Drupal: If you are looking for a free content management and like to have open source control, Drupal may be an option for you. However, there are other CMS (Content Management System) that can do similarly or even more popular such as Joomla, Grav, ProcessWire, DropKick, TidyCMS, ExpressEngine and of course Wordpress. Steep learning curve for beginners. It really took far too much effort to learn to do simple things. On top of having to come in and fix someone else work when I'd never actually used Drupal before. The tool is great for those without HTML or advanced web site design experience. The ability to limit rights and roles and assign publishing access is essential.
