DROPS Integrator is an IBM i vendor package reception solution designed to automate and secure the integration of new third-party software releases into customized IBM i environments. The solution automatically validates incoming vendor releases before they reach production, helping organizations detect anomalies, component regressions, and format-level errors between files and programs. DROPS Integrator performs detailed impact analysis to identify how a new vendor release may affect locally developed or customized code, with analysis available down to the source line and field level. It works with or without access to the vendor’s source code. The solution can also integrate with CI and orchestration tools such as Jenkins, helping organizations incorporate vendor package updates into automated software delivery processes. By automating vendor release validation and impact analysis, DROPS Integrator helps organizations reduce the risks associated with third-party software upgrades, protect locally developed customizations, prevent production instability, and make IBM i package upgrades safer and more predictable.
