While industry incumbents are mired in folder-based architecture, email attachments, FTP, or ad-hoc hacks, Droplr is changing the industry though its simple, secure platform: in one single step Droplr converts any file into a URL that can be sent via any communication platform. Droplr is focused on being deeply integrated into the tools that creative teams use. Graphic designers, UI/UX designers, developers, consultants, and others all run into walls. Some of these walls are: 1) File formats and compatibility across devices 2) Remote teams 3) Collaboration and Feedback is out of context 4) there is a lack of workflow integration 5) the file transfer process for visual assets is slow and clumsy. Droplr is a technology company based in Bend, Oregon. We founded the company in 2012 and are backed by an incredible group of investors and advisors. WHY DROPLR? It's 2016. Sending a visual asset or file from A to B shouldn't be hard. Droplr has 4 key areas of focus. Simplicity: transfer files in a single step. Security: password protect uploads, links auto-expire, end-to-end encryption. Ease of use: uploads convert to HTML5 to flow seamlessly between devices, no file-type roadblocks. Integration: native apps for Mac, Windows, and iOS integrate with the tools designers are already using for a perfect fit into the collaborative workflow. ## Droplr Reviews ### 1. Not the easiest experience **Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2017 **What do you like best about Droplr?** I love that the final output is a simple, short link. This makes it so easy to share and it doesn't bog down my desktop with screenshots. **What do you dislike about Droplr?** I'm not sure why, but I have had a really hard time getting the screenshots to load in Droplr. I've tried all ways to upload files and usually 8/10 times, it won't load properly and I just give up. Sometimes when I hit "refresh" after uploading a file it will populate, but that doesn't happen often. If I had a seamless uploading experience, then I would use it all the time. **Recommendations to others considering Droplr:** It is a great tool that lets you easily share files / screenshots / media. My preferred use is for screenshots. **What problems is Droplr solving and how is that benefiting you?** Often, it is showing visuals to help articulate information. It's much more efficient to take a screenshot and draw an arrow to key information, rather than list everything in written format and hope that the receiver understands what I mean. ### 2. I especially loved the ability to use my own subdomain. **What do you dislike about Droplr?** I went from 2 1080p screens to 2 4k screens and one 1080p screen. This isn't a terribly crazy setup, particularly for someone who works from home with computers. Unfortunately Droplr no longer works for me, and despite direct communication with their development team they've so far been totally unable to resolve the problem. I carried out exhaustive testing and emailed them the specific results, even offering to try out beta builds or give them access to my PC, but I don't think I've heard back from them in about a month now since we definitively established the issue was the sum pixel area. Disappointing, and I haven't been able to use the product since. **Recommendations to others considering Droplr:** Don't use it if you have more than 2x4k monitor's worth of total pixels, it simply will not work (on Windows, at least). Otherwise it's great. **What problems is Droplr solving and how is that benefiting you?** I work support for DigitalOcean, and the primary use is showing customers what I'm looking at or what they should be doing to achieve a desired outcome. Speed is key, so the ability to seamlessly take and upload screenshots is very important. Droplr solved all of these problems and even helped communication within my team. ### 3. I love how it's so simple. I like the UI design (app and site) and possible to convert screencast to GIF. **What do you dislike about Droplr?** Is not possible to copy the printscreen to the clipboard, I have to upload, then open the URL and download the image to my PC. It's so frustrating. The editor is precarious of functionalities and brings me insecurity, several times the program closes. **Recommendations to others considering Droplr:** Droplr is beautiful and simple, but Monosnap have more features. **What problems is Droplr solving and how is that benefiting you?** Fast sharing project screens in my company and with friends. ### 4. Also they expire. **What problems is Droplr solving and how is that benefiting you?** The fact the links expire makes me not use this. ### 5.
