Of the cloud-based storage services I have used (iCloud, Google Drive, etc), Dropbox is easily the most user-friendly. I used it for folder syncing, file sharing, backups. It works almost seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I dislike, honestly, is the pricing. Limiting devices that can sync to 3 in the basic plan is a bit of a pinch. But I also understand the point of putting key features in a paid tier, it definitely makes sense. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The highest complement I can think of is that since 2009, Dropbox is the first app I load when I get a new system or laptop. I love it. I've been using Dropbox since the beginning, it's been fantastic for remote collaboration. I work with video creatives, and having a central hub for all our crucial files, like, Adobe CC project files, client email attachments, foundational details—I love that everything is in sync. And if someone on the team doesn't have the best system for rendering or slow internet, no worries, we can render it on a local system—no more waiting on massive files to process. There are times where clients get confused with the download links I share. They think they need to log into Dropbox. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been using it for many years and started with a free account and earned more storage and now I pay for storage and it is a great deal. So easy to use and have all of my data in one place. I also like to share folder with other people. Great for files and pictures. Large files are easy to transfer to other people. Plus if you delete a file you can get it restored. I like that I can use it on my phone, tablet and laptop. Works easily among cross platforms Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
That is uses storage on my laptop even though it is also stored in the cloud. Every so often I have to selectively sync files so they are not on my laptop but I have them in the cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I enjoy using the app/website when I need to watch the video for some dances I need to practice for school, and when I have to insert it, it's super helpful to follow along using this. I used this a couple of months ago and didn't know how to use it, but once I did, it made it so much easier to follow along with the dances I needed to follow. I use this website almost every other Wednesday or Tuesday mainly on those days but when I want to practice in my free time I use it every other week. This website can help customers like me who need help inverting or just watching videos sent by others to help follow along, I get the support and help I need. I plan on using this app and continue using it when I need to practice, I usually have a schedule or plan on the spot whenever I'm available I use the videos sent through Dropbox to help me plan the practice. Overall I enjoy using this website to help me when I need to watch a video and invert it which is the main reason I use it but I discovered many different tools that can be helpful for future practices. There is nothing I dislike about it, I use this website when I need help and I get the help I need when I do! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how it gives poeple the time to get to decide if they actually want to spend on the product itself, however I also hope that there are ways that are actually for free and does not require a payment after sometime.
I like the fact that dropbox automatically opens when I insert an SD card in my laptop, it feels like it knows thatmy photos need actually backing-up. This inturn creates less hassle for the people using this product.
Many cloud service providers already provide this fuction, but the dropbox app aims to lower the noise needed for me to get through my files properly due to their Cross-platform accessibility. It works through the different opperating systems available, and it even has a website to access in a computer with low storage.
Through these, collaborators from different parts of the world can share folders, interact through comments, and the fact that real-time document editing is also available, dropbox is very reliable for team projects. Focusing more on businesses rather than those people planning to buy a plan for daily use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the fact that it does not have a free lifetime option, wherein they only allow a tiny bit of gigabytes to store files for free. It would be better if they increase the measly 2GB of space, since just like the competitors, this would boost the company's users; however if dropbox does not intend to do this suggestion, it can focus more on social media marketing to increase it's user interaction.
Dropbox contains useful features, however the prices of dropbox's plans are more expensive and inaccessible to some. Since other platforms provide lower they should give themselves a leverage by lowering the prices for people using the product as compared to those other service providers.
Lastly, I hope that a feature like offline access management would come to dropbox. And to be more streamlined like the rest by giving people the opportunity to use their product more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I’ve been using Dropbox for almost 12 years now, and it has truly transformed the way our team collaborates. As a creative agency, sharing raw assets efficiently is crucial for us. Thanks to Dropbox, we consistently deliver projects faster, reducing delivery time by almost 80%. Its accessibility and organization tools make collaboration seamless and stress-free. I know this can be said often, but it's actually been true for us - Dropbox is a game-changer! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My only real complaint with Dropbox is that some companies have firewalls that prevent our team from sharing Dropbox files/links with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that there are ways to share all different types of files, and that it can handle large files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I found Dropbox to be very confusing to use. I had my wedding pictures and videos sent to me and I had a difficut time navigating Dropbox in order just to review them, share them to someone else, and then find them again after I left the page they were opened with.
After figuring it out(or so I thought) I was kicked out by the system for creating too much traffic and after clicking the link to be allowed back in, it wouldn't allow me and said I had been banned for good!! I couldn't look at my own wedding pictures anymore.
The only way I could get any help(after searching the site for a long time for the FAQ, a helpline, or email to contact Dropbox for help), was to start a conversation in the Dropbox community and then someone from Dropbox finally got in touch with me and did sommething on their end and all of a sudden I was able to get in again. The only way to receive any support was to upgrage, it was really frustrating.
I had never used Dropbox before so I had no idea how it worked or how to use it. I didn't have the funds to pay to upgrade just so I would have more space to share and upload, download, etc.
I love the idea of Dropbox, but I had a difficult time navigating it. That, and having to upgrade to be able to really get any use out of it are the main reasons why it wouldn't be my first coice to recommend to someone. If it had been easier for me to figure out and use, then I most likely would recommend.

I use Dropbox for secure and timely delivery of important legal documents and legal discovery exchange. Pushing folders of documents to other attorneys in the legal field is made easy thanks to Dropbox. Dropbox integrates with windows explorer fully and I can quickly get a link to share, a function which I use on a weekly basis. I've been able to fully implement use of Dropbox in my practice and I've never had to contact customer support because of how easy it is to use Dropbox. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There really isn't any downside to using Dropbox. I'm sure we all wish internet storage space were cheaper, but if you are attentive to deleting unneeded files then you can be sure to have space for new uploads and batches of documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a licensed Realtor, I have found Dropbox to be incredibly useful for my clients who are moving from out of the state and rely on me to be their eyes on the ground. I am able to take plenty of photos and videos of the properties they are interested in and share them through Dropbox. This tool has transformed the way I do business, and I wouldn't be able to provide the visual aides to my client without it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only time I have ever experienced a downside to this tool is when loading videos, which could take some time to upload, but by connecting directly to WiFi I have found this goes a lot faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that all of themusic and PDF's of the scores I need are kept in one place Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike that I cannot always access what I need. Often I cannot get into it at all. I hve had to create two different profiles for th esame account but then I often will not let me in. Files are sent to my Dropbox and then I cannot access them. It has been going on for years and finally last year both my choir director and I gave up on it. He now sends me the music and pdf's through google docs. Sorry to say we are moving away from Dropbox. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most about Dropbox is its seamless syncing across devices, making file access and collaboration effortless and reliable anytime, anywhere. I use it for both personal and professional projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only the limited storage on free plans, which can fill up quickly, and occasional delays when syncing large files. I suggest you subscribe to their plans if you want better experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
