Only the process of preparing the deck to pass the check made our slides much stronger. **What do you dislike about DocSend?** A bit expensive. The per head business model doesn't really work for me. We ended up using only 1 person. The fundraising network sounds great and their database of active investors is impressive. What really stands apart for me is the document usage tracking once a link has been sent out. This analytic can be critical in seeing if the reciever really put any time into the docuemnt or not and really helps in approaching what level of serious a potential investor may have. I feel our data room is at a peak level since we made the move to Docsend and the ability to move over fro OneDrive seemless was an absolutely perfect integration. **What do you dislike about DocSend?** I have not run into a negative item yet. I have had no hang ups, no glitches and no negative reactions to my use of the platform. I would almost say the cost per user, but for this quality it is well worth the price and has already proven itself to be invaluable. **Recommendations to others considering DocSend:** If you are a startup, I highly recommed starting with DocSend from the VERY beginning for your data room process. Super convenient to have it all in one place! It's nice being able to send a link instead of having to send an email for e-sign, which I'd say is a big convenience. **What do you dislike about DocSend?** DocSend's pricing still doesn't justify using this over other services, especially as it lacks custom fields for signing and easy-to-use templates. It still feels rudimentary, but if you're able to cut down on another SaaS product, then I can see it be worthwhile. Overall, DocSend can be almost 5-10x the price of other services combined separately, which, if you're cost conscious, will be a deal-breaker. **Recommendations to others considering DocSend:** Seriously consider if the cost is worthwhile. It's undoubtedly the gold standard, but newer, cheaper options are cropping up each day which makes it less and less compelling—especially if you're a new startup. **What problems is DocSend solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking the viewing of decks has been invaluable with DocSend as we're able to address a lot of things for future meetings and see where the drop-off point is for people viewing. We've been able to increase read-through-rates which has helped our fundraise dramatically, while being able to send links for signing has greatly simplified the back-and-forth when asking people to sign investment documents. ### 14. The feature is a huge time-saver for myself, investors, and contractors that we work with. Everyone appreciates time saved and using the feature lets us move things along and close deals faster. **What do you dislike about DocSend?** Nothing that I dislike comes to mind- I had a few questions at first because I would click the multiple signers link myself to test it out but that would mess things up for the other party because if I cliked the link, the system would assume the other signing party was the second party (me). Therefore, the system would only show them the field where I am supposed to sign which threw us both for a loop. Once I reached out to DocSend support, they responded same-day to clear things up and we were all set from there- havent' had another issue with the system at all. **Recommendations to others considering DocSend:** My recommendation to others considering DocSend would be to jump in. The ease of use and time you'll save make it a no-brainer out of the gates. Also, the regular price is so high compared to docusign, hellosign, etc. After the first year, it makes no sense to have this service because docusign is literally the same price. **Recommendations to others considering DocSend:** use docusign instead because docsend doesn't have the emailing feature directly from the platform and it costs way too much. other options include hellosign and others. **What problems is DocSend solving and how is that benefiting you?** sending contracts to users and to customers is the biggest problem. Why do I have to use a link and not just send it directly from DocSend. Isn't that the point of the name DocSend? Maybe I'm missing something, and, if I am, that tells you that something is not intuitive for the user. The problem of sending the contracts should be as simple as possible. It's great to be able to consolidate document management with e-signatures, but they're missing some key features: no direct email requests for signatures, controlling the text size for the esig, knowing where the field is going to show up on the esignature, making it possible to populate some fields without having to sign the document - e.g., investment amount for a signature request can't be filled in for an investor without signing the document. It really needs to be able to send an email request for a signature instead of entering the email into a form, and then forcing the user to send a link for the signature request, and then the person has to first click on the link, enter their email into Docsend, and then go back to their personal email to authenticate. So clunky! If it sent the email from Docsend for the esig request, then the person only needs to click once, on the request email which is in their inbox and and hence doesn't need additional authentication. **What problems is DocSend solving and how is that benefiting you?** Controlling document distribution, e-signature consolidation, data room repository ### 25. Second would be mail pdf tracking and being able to see who looked at what document and for how long. **What do you dislike about DocSend?** If you have two sister companies, you can't use the premium subscription for two different accounts you need to buy two different licenses and it's not cheap. The other thing is the e-signature could be a little better, we use DocuSign and it looks like they took part of DocuSign's process, but didn't take all the good parts of it. It's just not user friendly as DocuSign when it comes to e-signatures. Lastly, they could improve on the spaces which would be great if it had multi-tiered access and different NDAs that could be filled it based on a property address or whatever item it is they need rather than having one NDA that fits all categories.
