It has always been very easy and comfortable to send documents while keeping things secure, with the ability to track who opens the documents opened for them through sender DocSend. What I really love are the very detailed analytics for viewers-how long a person spends on each page, which is valuable with sales and fundraising. Some features are advanced and only available on higher-tier plans, limiting the flexibility for smaller teams. The mobile application version could be better optimized for reading longer documents. Before, files would be sent as an email attachment, and the sender simply hoped the recipient would look at it. DocSend ensures that one can share sensitive documents securely yet still retain full control and visibility. Now I share one secure link, restrict access, and gain insights in real-time on how every recipient interacts with the material. This helps me prioritize leads, follow up better, and present documents on a professional note. Time-consuming, more secure, and engaging data from which I can make the right decision. I like that I can share sensitive business documents securely without worrying about downloads or screenshots. It's professional and gives confidence when sharing confidential info. The design is very nice; the ability to easily create individual 'spaces' is good, as is the ability to update documents Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about DocSend? (1) Lack of feature to notify people about Space updates (2) Needs a feature to link an entire folder to a space (so that when a new item is uploaded in that folder, it is added everywhere that folder has previously been linked) (3) A direct integration with Google/DropBox/whoever would be good with the above (4) An ability to create an index of what's in spaces (5) An ability to extract all accounts/contacts - I had to email all people who I'd send docs to yesterday, and it was basically a manual process to pull out all the emails which I've previously fed in (6) Space limitations of 1000 items needs at least to be increased. Why not inhibit screen-captures or make them more difficult to share ? - that's a minimum requirement. Available from other platforms like Adobe Cloud without additional cost. This is available in the base platform. e.g. Safari and iPhone iOS can prevent pictures of payment information, or prevent them from being included in other documents. 2. It's too easy for someone to use a fake email, and too hard to personalize passwords per person within recipient company. This defeats the ability to track who exactly is opening the document within a recipient company. Instead, propose : Enable access based on any validated email account, within a domain, without password. i.e. send recipient the descend link, recipient enters email into the given docsend link, an email is sent to that email account with second link. If the click on the 3. The smarter business model would be to make all higher level features available individually, but to make the Standard or Advanced packages cheaper than the sum of the individual features. This is what Salesforce, Survey Monkey and many others do. 4. Since Docsend has failed to match the abilities of Adobe Cloud in preventing copy of content, it should at least Automatically add watermarking to ensure taken content can be tracked to the source. 5. Some items that could be useful require the more expensive package - why not make NDA option for base package users as an add on ? 6. Enable and enhance the viewing of certain revisions. Upload one document, but enhancements only visible to certain enabled or new recipients. This allows continuous revisions without having to split releases into separate documents.
