Easy to navigate and a very flexible FP&A platform. Iwas a power user / admin of an AdaptiveInsight instance and when transitioning to using Drivetrain, I found the transparency behind model logic, the similarity to excel, the ability to import any data structure into the platform, and the the structure of the model really ease to use the biggest highlights for this tool.

At first, the modeling logic at first seemed daughting to learn, but after spending a day learning about how to build models, it was easy to recreate complex financial models into the platform ranging from a hardware BOM cost model, cohort modeling for forecasting, ARR modeling, and opex driver based models.

The platform is very flexible and allows you to slice and dice data within the platform with ease. This allows me to adjust the model at fly quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Creating new data sets and mapping the data to new "lists" or mapping groups still requires someone on the backend in Drivetrain to link the data up. This means when building new models or data sets, you have to currently rely on your CS rep to help build the linkage.

They've mentioned this is a commonly requested feature and I hope they build this functionality out since it'll allow power users to build models quicker from new data sets Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The architecture of being able to combine multiple sources of data and track with plans and actual in a seamless manner has been the best part of Drivetrain.

- Reporting: Drivetrain has allowed us to automate a majority of our financial reporting, from board decks, monthly closes, flux analyses, BvAs out to budget owners, etc. It has already saved us significant time, only a handful of month after beginning the implementation process.

- Powerful & Flexible Forecasting Capabilities: Drivetrain has very flexible forecasting models that allowed us to build our entire forecast, from top-line, expenses, balance sheet & cash and all be interconnected with eachother & our other systems. The formula writing is intuitive and has a short learning curve when transitioning from excel.

- Implementation: The implementation team has exceptional expertise and provides fantastic customer support. The implementation was smooth and we were up and running with all of our finanical models, custom dashboards and reports in a few months. The team was always available and great to work with.

- Integration:We were able to integrate seamlessly with our key systems, Salesforce, NetSuite & GSheets. This integration streamlines our financial processes and ensures that data flows smoothly between different systems.

- Collaboration: As a Finance team member I wanted a tool that serves all of my forecasting & reporting needs, but also wanted something that would allow for cross-functional collaboration. Drivetrain's reports are perfect for this with features like tagging people in comments, user level restrictions, customizable & visually appealing graphs, charts & tables.

Very user-friendly tool. We are able to create plans and budgets much faster than before. Ability to create custom metrics on the fly and include it in reports.

Internal templates are excellent - learnt new/better ways to do headcount planning, triangulation forecasting, vendor cost modeling... They also share helpful best practices

Nothing major, they actually take our requests and roll out improvements quickly. Would be good to see an option to save the formatting on reports and make it available as a template to create new charts and summary tables on new reports. Summarizing and centralising the all important financial data and facilitating the access to it. It's easy to use and contains lots of features. Depending on a company can be not so difficult to integrate and implement. The tool can easily reduce the amount of time required for doing the specific parts of job.
