Used to be a great open source product **Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2021 **What do you like best about DreamFactory?** Great features for combining APIs and data sources with server-side scripting. **What do you dislike about DreamFactory?** Dying product, overpriced, terrible customer service **Recommendations to others considering DreamFactory:** If you have a small project and can use the features of their free offering, go for it. Otherwise, find a different solution. **What problems is DreamFactory solving and how is that benefiting you?** Enterprise apps **Official Response from Luke Marshall:** > Hi There, Firstly thanks you for taking the time to review DreamFactory and I am sorry we haven't met your expectations. We pride ourselves on our intimate customer service and I would welcome direct feedback on any poor experience you may have had. We have dedicated support for all our commercial clients however I can understand if there was some frustration with our OSS support as we often rely on community engagement to complement our online free resource repository. With regards to your comment on price, we welcome any comparison to existing tools that are able to instantly generate APIs in less than a minute and in your case of building Enterprise apps I would be surprised to find out we were more expensive than our competitors. Again, affordability has always been a cornerstone of our position in the market as we do not contain the "kitchen sink" functionality you may find in our peers but we do several critical things very well- to the point where some clients purchase us to complement our competitors function in the same environment! DreamFactory is far from a dying product. We have gone through 5 iterative releases in Q1 alone including the release of our big data connectors for Snowflake, Hadoop and Apache Hive. A Snowflake API in less than a minute! We continue to develop custom features for our clients and are always looking for ways to improve our roadmap so if you have any specific requests please let me know.
