**What do you like best about Dreamdata?**

We are a Danish based marketing agency who help B2C and B2B companies grow their business. What Dreamdata provides, is tying the marketing activities to revenue and mapping the full customer journeys. This helps the clients, and ourselves, understand how the different channels are performing so we know what to scale what works and cut what doesn’t.

Implementing is always very straightforward, and data is pulled and shown after a few hours.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

A “disadvantage” is if the company is not already collecting data, they have nothing to act on from the get-go. It will take at least a few weeks, before seeing actionable insights.

**What problems is Dreamdata solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to see what works and what doesn’t, in driving specific stages, allows for a well-needed overview. Especially in todays economic market, where cost saving is essential.

Also, mapping out the long customer journeys, which typically can take several months, allows for a deep understanding of a companies prospects and customers.

**What do you like best about Dreamdata?**

Figuring out marketing attribution has always been a headache. I was hesitant to try another attribution software (after having used a different software before in my career that ultimately didn't give us any real insights) but I am so glad we implemented Dreamdata. By having three different areas I can report on (revenue analytics, journeys, and performance) I can now really show the value marketing brings to the company in addition to getting a much clearer picture of the customer journey. Dreamdata is our go-to source of truth to show marketing effectiveness!

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

Like all software, especially revenue attribution software, the implementation process is long but really it is just to ensure everything is set up correctly. It took us a little while to get set-up and all on the same page internally, but Dreamdata was very patient with us the entire time.

We're using Dreamdata to show us how our marketing motions are contributing to revenue and the overall customer journey.

**What do you like best about Dreamdata?**

Dreamdata is literally the non-nonsense marketing attribution tool. No fuss in trying it out with a FREE account! Plus no hassle integrating since they've connectors for all the major and necessary channels.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

It's hard to identify anything as I'm still blown away by the information these guys process and assemble into easy to use dashboards. If I would have to say one thing, it would be the onboarding journey (in product) it can feel a bit daunting especially if you're a newbie to marketing attribution.

**Recommendations to others considering Dreamdata:**

Without a doubt this is the easiest platform to get up and running for marketing attribution. So what are you waiting for? It's also free to try which makes it a no brainer!

**What problems is Dreamdata solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MarTech isn't anything new, but what it does provide marketing with is even more NOISE than before. Almost every marketing team we engage with from a consultancy perspective struggles to make sense of that noise. Dreamdata did that within hours of plugging in my MarTech using native 2-3 click connectors. I was able to see companies who were engaging with our campaigns and content and importantly see all intelligence combined for a more holistic view.

Regardless of the CRM or marketing automation tool I am using, the set up and management of attribution models with Dreamdata is straight forward and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

I wish there were more customizable features for graphing and that more of the set up, for more experienced users could be done without reaching out to the support team, although they are very quick to help.

**What problems is Dreamdata solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multi touch attribution modeling is near impossible to set up and report on with the out of the box solutions associated with all CRM. Dreamdata fills the gap and is able to structure the models we need to understanding the "Customer Journey."

Onboarding took a while and there was a period of time where we weren't sure how reliable the data was immediately after the onboarding period. (1 month or so)

Dreamdata shows us the connection between money and effort for our marketing activities and the outcome on many different levels. It would cost much more to have the same functionality in our CRM.

As with any tool Dreamdata needs to be fed with information. It is not a magic tool that will cover up for missing processes or information that is just not tracked.

if you are a B2B SaaS company, Dreamdata is priceless for the information it gives. 
The possibility to categorize and segment your traffic, makes for an outstanding user-experience with endless possibilities. I see myself using Dreamdata for many years to come.

The learning curve is rather high, but it definitely pays off tenfold. 
I would love for the free version to have more features, like CRM integration, but that is understandably a part of the paid version.

The reports in Dreamdata are really easy to use, and it's easy for "non technical" marketers to find what's driving more pipeline or the channels that are influencing more deals. They are also able to combine all the sources we use in one single platform/dashboard.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

For nontechnical marketers can be challenging to work with data that Dreamdata sends to the data warehouse. The dashboards are really easy to understand, and the data is also really easy to manage (they transform and do all the identity resolution) but then using that data to build reports can be a bit difficult for people with less experience.

We can do multi touch attribution using dreamdata and we're also able to combine data from multiple vendors in one platform and then understand which events, which channels, which companies are bringing more value.

The tool is very customizable to fit our specific needs and can transform our CRM data into something that can play nice within the attribution tool. Makes attribution reporting easy to understand and socialize for others in the company!

Longer implementation than we had hoped and though the tool is customizable its often only done from Dreamdata's team.

**What do you like best about Dreamdata?**

My favorite part of Dreamdata is the powerful weighted distribution models that help me understand how different channels are attribution to our opportunities. Before Dreamdata we could only see the first touch source of the data and now we can see every point of interaction. I love being able to see the user journeys at an account level when I want to dig into an account and see why they converted.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

Installing all the scripts across the site and making sure that all data tracking is accurate to our default reporting source can be cumbersome but once everything is set up it is worth it.

**What problems is Dreamdata solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were not able to see the different touchpoints that attributed to an opportunity in our business. Dream data has helped us solve that problem and dig much deeper int the journey a lead took.

**What do you like best about Dreamdata?**

We started using Dreamdata in Dec 2021, here are the things that I liked about it:
- nice and timely communication from the Dreamdata team
- 99% customizable product (there are few things on their roadmap that would make it 100% soon)
- finally, we can analyze our activities, and set the priorities based on the revenue (business outcome), and not the leads or MQLs
- it shows the real (dark) funnel and time to the revenue
- content reports gave us some insights about what's influencing revenue most
- we can easily calculate the ROI of the tools that we use on the website to communicate with the users (we found one low-effort revenue generator with Dreamdata)
- also possible to get access to our BigQuery project and use it with our dashboarding tool, analyze it internally

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

- it was relatively hard to set the scope of work for the implementation, as this tool was new to us and we had also to spend time learning it more -> would be nice if the Dreamdata team has an onboarding process considering that people do not always know what they can do with the tool
- sometimes the tool is lugging but the team solves it pretty quickly

**Recommendations to others considering Dreamdata:**

Improve your tracking structure to get the most out of Dreamdata
The more info you have in CRM about your customers the merrier for the insights

**What problems is Dreamdata solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving mostly problems of the right prioritization and budget allocation. Dreamdata helps to understand what's bringing you revenue, not the leads (you can also analyze the lead inflow if you need it). Any B2B business has this data in their systems (CRM and web-tracking tools) but Dreamdata helps with merging it effortasly. I also like the native ad account connectors so I have all my expenses in Dreamdata.

**What do you like best about Dreamdata?**

I had some skepticism coming into our engagement with Dreamdata that they would be able to configure their work to align with how we think about our enterprise sales journey - the way we attract potential customers is rapidly evolving and hard to do with today's data and privacy challenges. It requires serious understanding of our business and a lot of time. That's exactly what we got. Nick was an incredibly helpful partner - not just in terms of how to use Dreamdata's tool, but from a first-principles philosophy perspective about how to run a growth function and think about spending marketing dollars and sales efforts in a way that's possible to measure. I learned a lot from working with Dreamdata that I will carry with me.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

Less a Dreamdata specific challenge, more of an industry-wide challenge. As user-level deterministic data points start to go away, a model based on user-level probabilistic data points can't tell the full story. Figuring out how to bridge the gap to brand spend is a really tough problem, but not one that Dreamdata solves.

We are making decisions about how to allocate ad spend and our sales time. We have a single source of truth that the company can agree on - it's not perfect, but we all have one number that we share.

**What do you like best about Dreamdata?**

We advise and consult many B2B companies on how to grow their business and sales using digital marketing and analytics. One topic that requires quite a bit of extra conversation between our client and us is how ads and sales affect our results.  Dreamdata excels in this attribution, revenue, and conversion mapping.

Dreamdata helps our clients and us to understand the crucial lead lifecycles, the impact of different channels and touchpoints, and to understand the bigger picture. We need to shift our attention from just collecting leads/emails to attribution, pipelines, and revenue generation. Implementing Dreamdata rapidly accelerates our ability to do that.

On top of this, we’ve repeatedly seen the Dreamdata Customer Success team go above and beyond to help our clients and us implement Dreamdata and to use it.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

There are two things you mentally need to prepare for: 1. Your company needs to transition away from single-touch/last-touch thinking, which takes training and repetition. 2. Collecting tracking data to understand performance takes some time, so you should start this as early as possible. If you don’t have the data, you have to gather it. 

You will see results, but you have to commit to get the most out of the tool. Expect that you need to gather data at least the average lead life cycle to get the most out of it. But if you have the UTMs and tracking ok in your automation software like Hubspot then you might have the data already!

**What problems is Dreamdata solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our B2B clients have long customer journeys. Easily months. They also use a multitude of tools, which often create data-silos and shattered & scattered data. Dreamdata works perfectly to overcome these challenges. Instead of solving this problem through a large internal project with no end in sight, you can just connect to Dreamdata and it will be solved fast without modelling by data scientists (who also can use the data of dream data that is stored for them). Best part is that marketing, sales and B2B decision-makers will all benefit from it!

**What do you like best about Dreamdata?**

Dreamdata is a powerful multi-touch attribution tool that tracks both paid and unpaid channels via UTMs and native connectors to CRMs, ads platforms and other tools. 
Data is then processed to provide information on how much revenue is attributable to each marketing channel and campaign, how long is the sales cycle, which were the marketing and sales touchpoints of a certain account, how much did they contribute to the resulting revenue, and many more.

It provides very interesting data views and full-funnel revenue attribution models that would be extremely resource-intensive to capture and analyze via a custom in-house solution.

The Customer Success team is the best I've ever seen in any of my vendors and really assists customers end-to-end, not only with technical help with setting up the software, but also in terms of attribution modeling; they partner with clients to fine-tune and customize attribution to suit each business' unique reporting needs.

It's a feature-rich product with clear and detailed native dashboards, but it can also push data to external dashboards built in i.e. Tableau or Google Data Studio, giving even more reporting flexibility.

Last but not least, it is extremely good value for what it does, how well it does it and for the amazing customer support that the company provides.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

Dreamdata is a very solid product with only a few minor weaknesses that do not hinder its usability in any way. It would be nice if it could push data to SFDC, rather than just pulling it, and if there were mouse hover tooltips that would help understand some technical terminology here and there. 

What's great is that they consistently seek feedback and follow up by putting new developments all on their product roadmap, resulting in new features being developed and launched regularly.

**What problems is Dreamdata solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Dreamdata, I can now demonstrate the effectiveness of marketing channels and campaigns to my company's leadership.

I can also allocate budget to online channels in a data-driven and result-oriented way, not limited to the usual CPL metrics, but focusing on real full-funnel CAC.

Easy and fun but super powerful! It actually does what it is supposed to and people I speak to do not always believe that it is possible. Perfect for tracking GTM revenue recognition!

**What do you like best about Dreamdata?**

I like that DreamData has competitive price points for companies to use their tool even if they aren't at the enterprise level.  There are similar competitors that make it cost-prohibitive for small businesses to use their services and until DreamData... they were simply out of luck.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

I've run into a couple of situations where a specific (lesser-known) CRM didn't have an integration, but I see DreamData adding new functionality all of the time so I feel positive that this issue will ultimately go away.

**Recommendations to others considering Dreamdata:**

Connect every piece of your marketing and sales funnel to get a detailed view of your customer journies and ultimately find your most valuable ones so you can work towards maximizing them.

**What problems is Dreamdata solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking and attributing that which can be tracked in the digital marketing ecosystem.  While there are some things that can't be tracked, DreamData lets you see a part of the marketing and sales picture that is still very valuable.  If you want to manage and improve something, you have to measure it first.  That's what DreamData opens up for so many companies who would have been flying blind in the past.

First, we like that it brings everything together. All our key data sources are aggregated and displayed straightforwardly. Secondly and on top of that Dreamdata can give us deep insights into the B2B customer journey. We like the level of depth and insights we can get out of it.

You have to understand your data models and be in line with how you want to look at your data and get insights out of it. We needed some time to figure out what model works best for us. Currently, every model change has to be done by the Dreamdata tech team.

Having all data across the revenue funnel in one place and therefore coming closer to the one source of truth. Connecting sales outcomes with marketing activity helped us a lot to understand where we can improve and optimize. Also, the new content view is super helpful to understand where we need improvements across our website.

We get a holistic picture of our go-to-market / marketing efforts. You don’t have to check a handful of different tools and ad platforms to make up a picture of what’s going on. Dreamdata joins all of it for us without us having to pull in any internal tech/data resource, saving us a ton of time and money. Data magic.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

Two things: Firstly, there’s so many insights and data that it can sometimes be hard to decide what things to focus on first. Secondly, shifting from single/last-touch thinking to multi-touch models, takes a bit of education inside of the company, but the shift is worth it.

**What problems is Dreamdata solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At Universum we have long sales cycles, upsells, resells, multiple people involved in most of our deals. This made transparency into what marketing channels were performing exceptionally well a bit of a pain. With a quick glance at the data, we can immediately identify which campaigns are working and which aren’t.

On top of this we needed a solution intended for our tech-stack: Salesforce as CRM, Pardot as automation and a wealth of ad channels.

Dreamdata continuously pulls, cleans and sorts all data about our customer journeys. This enables you to see every touch of every account no matter where the touch comes from. All we used to have available was our Salesforce lead source attribution. This is so much better.

I don't know of any other tool that's more affordable AND that does organic attribution. All the competitors in the space focus almost 100% on paid attribution. But Dreamdata has built-in organic attribution, which means who can attach a $ to some of the content marketing efforts you build, not just what ads you create. Having the ability to inspect all of your deals and aggregating those by accounts and not just individual emails is huge. Time to revenue is also a fascinating metric, it's dramatically impacted how sales teams tackle specific deals.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

Dreamdata does take a bit of time to setup and you won't see immediate full results. A lot of the value comes from ingesting past and future data points. So it might be tricky to pitch this given the time to deploy and time to results but the implementation team is amazing at answering and hand holding technical discussions with your dev team and answering any capabilities questions.

**What problems is Dreamdata solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I answered above already. Key differentiator for Dreamdata is getting organic search attribution metrics; go from impressions and clicks in search console to visits and company lead conversions in your ESP all the way down to attributable deals and revenue in your crm. You can answer questions like, blog post category A drives 16k in revenue per month but page category B drives 165k per month. Helps you figure out where to invest your content team's efforts.

The integrations on Dreamdata are smooth and you can start immediately seeing what channels you should starting investing more in and what channels might not be working out so great. One of my favorite features is seeing all the touchpoints in the customer journey before closing a deal giving much better insight into marketing and sales processes than basic pipeline stage durations.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

There was a minor hiccup in the setup process when integrating Dreamdata and Segment: we initially used Dreamdata's script + Segment integration (which is not what you're supposed to do). The support team quickly rectified the situation.

**Recommendations to others considering Dreamdata:**

Avoid using the Dreamdata tracking script together with the Segment integration. They are not meant to work simultaneously.

Understanding what paid marketing channels works the best for us to invest in the best channel (paid Linkedin, Google Ads, soon Capterra, etc.).  We can also see how these channels affect deal progress when integrated with CRM.

With Dreamdata integrating so well our CRM platform and the ad platforms, we were able to work with them to make sure the attribution gives us valuable insights. 

Every business has different processes in Sales, Marketing, and Data. The beautiful people at Dreamdata helped us set the product up in such a way that we could track and attribute the things we are actually interested in all along our business process. This customization allows us to see the exact performance of our campaign's contributions to the sales and marketing funnels. 

We have connected Dreamdata to our google Big Query data warehouse. Our analytics team can now jump even deeper into the revenue and attribution data allowing us to do further segmentation.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

The data destinations could still use some work. They currently only support one warehouse solution. Luckily for us, we use that one. I would like to see them offer more data destinations in the future to allow people to combine the data from dream data with the rest of their analytics data.

We are able to see our entire flow of revenue attribution, not just the last touch. This was not possible before Dreamdata, and we now look at our marketing campaign's performance differently.

Dreamdata is one of the only Revenue Attribution products that is truly platform agnostic (works with most CRMs) and has easy to set up integrations with almost all ad providers.
They are a product lead company so you can try the product without talking to a single salesperson.
They have great customer support and will customize the platform based on your business.
Additionally, they give you full access to all of the data they are collecting/have stored so you can visualize/manipulate it for whatever you'd like.
Finally, they are users of their own product and are constantly iterating/improving the product for Martech / Salestech use-case.

**What do you dislike about Dreamdata?**

Not very much to dislike. The only thing that needs to be customized is Offline Attribution. Since this differs by CRM Integration, there isn't a one-size-fits-all solution here so you will have to determine how and where you want these touchpoints to enter the Database (eg: is it campaigns in Salesforce or Google Sheet Uploader for Hubspot).

**Recommendations to others considering Dreamdata:**

After evaluating attribution.io, bizible, leandata, and dreamdata. Dreamdata was the ideal solution for most if not all use-cases in revenue attribution.

Dreamdata has definitely been a game-changer for our company.

Before using it, we weren't able to know exactly where does the revenue comes from. We were limited to the classic single-touch attribution model (first touch). This was frustrating and non-efficient at all to make decisions.

We've built a custom model with DD team, which is super responsive and helpful - Kudos to Nicholas, Mikkel, and Steffen -.

The output is we're now able to know at a super granular attribution in order to measure the impact of a specific ad campaign, outbound email messages, and even offline actions. We track the whole account's interactions from the first touchpoint until they become customers. We've built our own model to dissociate strong touchpoints from low-value touchpoints and attribute a specific part of the revenue to the channel that has created the conversion. So we can easily optimize the funnel based on those insights.

What I like the most with DD is that all their data is available in our data warehouse, which allows us to use SQL use Reverse ETL tools to match their data with the whole database in order to make better decisions.

The customer journey functionality was very smooth. It can be tricky to go through CRM and see all activities and understand what really happened, Dreamdata manages to do that nicely. 
The export function to a BI will be very crucial for us moving forward.
The sales rep we had connected to our account was extremely helpful as well.

Few bugs here and there, plus some documentation was out of date, but really nothing major. a few more inapp tips on how to see various data could also be helpful as I was sometimes searching for out.

Highly flexible. 1:1 account manager assisting with configuration.

UI needs work in terms of labels on metrics. Labels Deals and Revenue are used for all funnel steps which is not accurate to the metric. Not a data accuracy issue, just a label issue so impacts you when you're trying to screenshot the data and share to others.

Finally, clarity into ROI on Digital spend beyond "primary contact on opportunity" which is the native way SFDC works. 
Need a way to track linkedin lead form submissions that come in with a free email domain then get modified by Sales to an office email. This breaks attribution today.

The speed in which they act and the honesty of what they are capable of and what is beyond their reach. They are not one of those "fake it till you make it" startups; they will give you insightful and actionable data. If they can't, they will tell you. Overall the insight they provide is excellent, and I'm excited to see where they go.

The UI could do with a little work, there's a couple of minor bugs. A few attribution reports you can click through to see the data, some you can't. But they're working on it and honest about the issues.

We like the Revenue Segmentation helping us to understand how we produce pipeline and revenue. The Paid Ads dashboards are the best I’ve seen for B2B Marketing. Great overview but also able to really deep dive into the details at ad level.

Navigating and using the platform and reports can be a bit overwhelming to begin with. But their support team is really helpful and responsive and got us on track quickly.

The ability to be able to analyze not only data from a single tool but from multiple tools and understand the behavior of the user from the moment he visits the website until he becomes a closed won customers.

We would like to have some functions that are available in the premium plan, in the entry plan. Some we think they are essential for us

Through dreamdata we are in one place analyzing the behavior that users have in different channels, campaigns and communications. We were also able to understand which channels had the greatest impact and also which activities of the sales team resulted in more opportunities and sales.

The Dreamdata team doesn't differentiate in some views in content like landing pages and traffic source like Google Ads. In talks with the team it became clear, that Dreamdata is happy to change the view to our needs and hypothesis, that content & traffic source need to be in different views.

**What problems is Dreamdata solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dreamdata allows it early stage B2B SaaS startups to collect data systematically from day one and to aggregate data on account level.
Dremdata solves the misalignment between sales & marketing by focusing on the generated revenue pipeline by marketing measures. 
Multiple people in the buying network make buying decisions in B2B. Therefore it is very hard to understand the correlation of marketing spend and revenue. Dreamdata solves the problem by mapping all touchpoints of those persons associated with the same account and/or opportunity and applies multiple attribution models. So we were able to see the attributed revenue with different models.

**What do you like best about Dreamdata?**

Dreamdata enables us to track the performances of every channel we use better. We can now better determine which individual campaigns or keywords generate leads or deals the most and optimize our activity thanks to more precise insights. We now direct our efforts better towards the channels that we know work. Also, we can now see more of the customer journey of a website visitor as Dreamdata reports from the first touch moment until the moment a deal is closed.

That we didn't start using Dreamdata earlier, seeing how useful it proves to be 🙂
