DQV connects to both the source and the target system and compares them at field level rather than by sample. Teams use it to certify that data arrived intact after a migration, to catch quality issues before they reach production, and to re-run the same validations every time an ETL job or schema changes. The platform covers five areas of work in a single tool: Compare runs source-to-target reconciliation on any two datasets, regardless of structure or scale, and reports every mismatch with drift detection. Migrate moves data between platforms with field mapping, type conversion and aggregation, running pre- and post-migration validation on the same configuration. Mask applies redaction, replacement, randomization or encryption to sensitive fields, in place or in flight. A central Mask Info Store keeps masked values consistent across development, test, staging and production, so referential integrity survives. Validate checks data quality at field, record and table level, returns errors as a ranked list, and allows correction during a run. Generate produces synthetic test data with realistic patterns for names, addresses and identifiers, preserving parent-child relationships and valid foreign keys across tables. DQV works with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL, flat files including CSV and Excel, cloud databases on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, REST APIs and message queues, and formats including JSON, XML and Parquet. It runs as a web application, a command-line tool or an embeddable library, and integrates with existing ETL platforms such as Informatica and Databricks as well as CI/CD pipelines. The tool is used by ETL testers, database administrators, developers, functional QA analysts and API testers. It has been deployed on enterprise banking migrations, including one engagement that validated 200 million records in under two hours and another that reduced a full ETL validation cycle from six hours to fifteen minutes.
