Doxy.me is super easy to use - for both the clinician and the client/patient. I like that there is a simple URL for both my clients and me to remember and that there is a waiting room that clients can wait in while I finish up with another. Also, I like the new updates with the whiteboard to illustrate concepts I'm using in my psychotherapy sessions. There are very few things that I dislike about Doxy.me. One is that there are sometimes issues with clients joining a call with video and audio synced up, but there is a fairly easy fix for that in-session. Another issue is that it seems that Doxy.me works better on laptops/computers and is more iffy on phones/tablets for clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that the client does not need to download an app or anything or even create a login to use this telehealth option. All you need to do is send them the link; once they click the link, they type in their name, and it takes them straight to the meeting. It is HIPAA compliant, and no one else can join the meeting. Sometimes it would be helpful to allow a third person into the meeting. Doxy.me does not allow more than two people. But I understand why they do not allow more people, and it is a small complaint for such a great resrouce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Doxy takes a photo of you right as you log in to use as your avatar for the session, but you don't know when it's being taken, so it often turns out to be a horrible photo of yourself. It seemed like there were frequent issues with the site. This was in 2020-early 2021. Very limited extras and capabilities such as a group meeting, screen sharing, or changing the background. There have been many changes since you used our software. You might be happy to learn that doxy.me now offers the features you listed, such as group calling and screen sharing, and you can change your background by using an extension. Additionally, as of May 2022, we stopped automatically capturing providers' photos upon login.

I love the ease of having one link that doesn't change for my clients to use. Also, having an app on my laptop is way easier than going to a website and logging in every time. I am not tech savvy, but wish doxy.me could help call quality even when my client doesn't have great service. In this time where everyone is doing so much online from home, quality can be greatly effected just by having kids in the home doing school work.

I like that it is very easy for clients to sign in & that no additional downloading of apps is needed, Their willingness to provide a free HIPAA compliant platform is meaningful to me. Doxy.me seems to work well with most browsers & my clients can easily access it from computer, mobile or tablet, I also like that I don't need to send a link every time. I have had trouble with video & audio quality, There were several periods of time where I was unable to complete a session on doxy.me for several days at a time. I did upgrade my internet at home & that took care of some of the problem. I wish doxy.me had a friendlier interface for multi-person appointments. It was beneficial having a waiting room so that I could see when clients logged into our sessions and then have control over when to invite them into the video chat. During my sessions on Doxy, I woud also have to be monitoring another site, and I never had any trouble toggling between the screens. The signal strength is quite variable - at times, the connection is poor/unreliable, and the audio and video get out of sync.
