I could see when the documents were signed. My clients had their portal to look at documents once signed. My clients could also communicate with the vendors that I had listed. It is a great transaction management for realtors like myself. The customer support was great. I was able to maintain different client transactions in an organized fashion. I used Dotloop just about every day. It didn't take any time to learn. **What do you dislike about dotloop?** Sometimes it was hard to stay organized and moving around in the different transactions was challenging. Also, it showed square markings where the e-signatures were supposed to be done. I also had an incident in which the other agent I was co-oping with could see another document of mine that she was not supposed to see. Not sure what had happened. My office switched platforms so it would have been a cost to me if I had kept Dotloop. **What problems is dotloop solving and how is that benefiting you?** It was great for transaction management for real estate agents. When we did have it, I became accustomed to it. ### 2. You can call and speak with a knowledgeable person who resolves issues quickly. Rarely have I had to wait for a resolution. Their printable documentation and video instructions are great tools and are easy to understand. **What do you dislike about dotloop?** There's some quirkiness to the product that confuses the average user. Duplicate loops are common when agents share documents during a transaction. This requires extra steps and the know-how to copy documents from one loop to another to maintain a complete file of documents for a transaction. When you accidentally drag a document on top of another when you're trying to reorder them, the document disappears and you have to look through the activity log to locate it. When you upload a PDF document that has any kind of security features enabled, Dotloop will not allow you to download or print the document. The Split Document feature isn't always an option and it's hard to know when you can and cannot split the document into multiple documents. **What problems is dotloop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Dotloop allows us to reduce the paper used and stored in a transaction. We use it to ensure we comply with State License Law regarding required forms. It enables our real estate agents to submit paperwork to our Business Office (Finance Department), which expedites the preparation for closing and payment of the agents. Dotloop allows our agents to share documents electronically and obtain electronic signatures, expediting the sales process. ### 3. Maybe it's different now, but when I first started using the program, it would have been helpful to have little pop-ups and reminders to help along the way so you don't irrevocably edit something **What problems is dotloop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Document template creation and storage as well as template creation. There is never any question about what has been executed and what hasn't. I have used other signature programs (that don't have nearly as much functionality) and they're a bit more straight forward when you just need a quick signature on something. It takes the messiness out of emailing documents to multiple people and trying to get them all to sign the same document at the end of the day. It keeps all your files organized by the address of the listing its for so you never mix up your forms. I find it very easy to add new forms and share with clients. I've never had an issue on my end but I have had clients have issues Where they weren't allowed to fill in random lines or had issues signing in. However that could have been user error and not so much a dotloop issue. Overall I love it and am so happy my office has it! **What do you dislike about dotloop?** A few of my clients had issues logging so I'm not sure if it might be a little Confusing on their end. Because dot loop organizes by address, we can make sure everything is where it should be. It is also flexible in that it allows you to upload PDFs and drag them on top of its respective dotLoop document (and replace the existing doc) if you're working with a mix of external and dotLoop documents. **What do you dislike about dotloop?** The main problem that I've run into is that it requires all clients to have their own email addresses in order to allow them to e-sign documents. I have older clients who share an email which does not work for dotLoop. The other issue I've run into is with other agents not wanting to use any other system than what they normally use and are comfortable with. I recently had a listing agent ask that I not use dotLoop and that I recreate all my documents in CTMe which we are trying to move away from. **Recommendations to others considering dotloop:** Just be aware of the limitations going in...particularly that everyone who uses the system needs to have their own unique email address. It's not a problem for most people, but a lot of older people share a single email address. There are work arounds for this situation, but some of them involve going all the way backwards to physically signing, scanning and uploading the executed documents which is exactly what we're all trying to get away from. **What problems is dotloop solving and how is that benefiting you?** Streamlining the transaction filing requirements of our state real estate commission with an integrated e-signature contracts system. In the past, this has been a multiple step process that we have to hound our agents to comply with. The promise of dotLoop is that once the contracts are created and e-signed, the file is complete and can be submitted for review and approval and they're done. ### 23. You are able to track many LOOPS all at one time and the design of the front page makes it very easy to track your loops, status of the current loop and also easy to find which loops need attention or have updates to them. When a loop needs attention or the status changes you get notified and are able to see what was changed or needs to be addressed. Its a great tool to use. **What do you dislike about dotloop?** When adding the signatures I wish there was a way that you could select the client and then be able to add multiple signatures of the person. The hard part is assigning the person each time and then having to go back and add the next person. I also wish they would allow us to send the emails out in order so you could send it to your clients then once it comes back from both of those it would send out to the next person, and you could send them in an order instead of having to go back in to then share the doc with the other real estate agent. **Recommendations to others considering dotloop:** Its a great system to use if you need signatures or initials. **What problems is dotloop solving and how is that benefiting you?** loops have disappeared before or have had issues with finding our loops. ### 25. In a rapidly growing paperless world, it's great. **What do you dislike about dotloop?** Some of the quirks are very annoying. For example, I can't upload any documents in Firefox. I'm not sure how it's okay to tell your customer you'll just have to use a different browser because we can't figure it out...how is that possible? **Recommendations to others considering dotloop:** Every e-signature program out there has quirks. Dotloop has a great customer service support team that can help you with almost everything - aside from utilizing Dotloop in Firefox. Overall, well worth the money. **What problems is dotloop solving and how is that benefiting you?** e-signing with ease. Our clients love it. ### 30. My clients are able to understand it without coaching. Contracts are signed easier. **What do you dislike about dotloop?** If I misplace a box, it doesn't allow me to easily delete it. It reduces the number of files I have in my email, and there isn't a danger of signing an outdated document. **What do you dislike about dotloop?** It can be a little clunky sometimes, and doesn't really allow for editing within the document (that I have seen). **What problems is dotloop solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows for faster collaboration between people and allows for things to be tracked. ### 34. I was able to not only see the documents I had signed, but also the owner's documents as well. **What do you dislike about dotloop?** Editing documents was a bit of a challenge. I would edit a document and it would show up on my end but not the owners. I also seemed to have multiple versions of the same document. **Recommendations to others considering dotloop:** Definitely worth while to try. There is a learning curve when it comes to editing documents, however once you have a firm grasp of the software, the benefits are tremendous. **What problems is dotloop solving and how is that benefiting you?** I believe Dotloop solves the problem of having multiple documents for a single transaction floating around in either my email or at my desk. Dotloop conveniently stores them all on one location.
