I think generally, the UI and the ease of use really appeal to me. It's definitely an interface that is easy to use and straightforward, especially when onboarding new team members. I also like the segmentation aspects of Dotdigital, as it can be really powerful. The more you get into it, the more opportunities come out of it. I really like how Dotdigital is the simplest and easiest platform to use. It's always been simple for me, especially in building emails. I like the ability to customised emails - much more user-friendly and personalised than other email marketing platforms I've used before. The steps to sending emails is also very clear and make it easy to avoid error, making it very reliable for our performance metrics. It's been our platform of preference for at least the last 10 years as a result of the fair pricing and positive impact on recruitment numbers, and as a current staff member I can access previous email examples and review their success rates, so the UX is very smooth.

We regularly use audience segments when promoting events and sending essential admissions information to avoid overloading already-engaged users. Scheduling emails has also been a benefit when team capacity is reduced. We also rely heavily on templates, saved styles and building blocks to streamline creating new emails.

As we are long-standing users, the email folder system can get quite long and bogged down with old content. Particularly as we are meticulous with organising by admission year, then email type, then often send times, it can be overwhelming to see the long list of folders. Perhaps the ability to hide folders from view without deleting them permanently would be a positive addition to making the user journey easier.

When building emails I've often had the desire to incorporate image or graphic into the backgrounds, rather than as additional image blocks that could move depending on the user's viewing device.

Lastly, we utilise a lot of dynamic content, and we also use the test send feature heavily. It would be great to see an easier way of sending all these different content versions without manually changing my personal contact preferences per email to see dynamic content in situe.
