Because Dotdigital is such a powerful platform, the learning curve for new users can be steep, requiring investment in training to fully leverage all the features. Some advanced functionalities could also benefit from more detailed documentation. There are occasional delays in customer support response times.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dotdigital helps us streamline our marketing efforts by providing a centralised platform for managing all our communications. This has significantly reduced the time and effort required to coordinate campaigns across different channels. **What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

DotDigital is a very powerful platform that is especially well optimised for ecommerce use, with hundreds of custom fields allowed for contacts. Multi-stage campaigns can be created with the very visual program builder, and you can order EmailonAcid reports from directly in the interface. I use the platform all the time, and we have integrated it with our Microsoft Dynamics installation which works well. The best part is the support. Our Account Manager, Sean Ardley, has always been fair and helpful, and you can get detailed technical support from one of their system experts round the clock - believe me, I have used it!

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

The interface needs a little facelift, although I know this is being worked on as I have been part of some of their user testing programmes. Also, the way that folders work in the tool is far too fiddly and needs its own tool to manage it properly.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DotDigital allows us to keep our campaigns in sync with our Dynamics data, which is vital.

They really helped me when setting up triggered emails and programs. the basic help pages are ok, but the AI and human support was really useful.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

Relatively steep learning curve when initally setting things up, but once you get the hang of it, it can be a powerful tool.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

customer emails flow and automation of audiences to meta and google. Seeing revenue from the triggered emails and programs I've set up, now have daily updates into ad platforms so moreup to date audience to improve performance and saving time from doing it manually.

Ease of use, a convenient creator that allows you to create aesthetic messages, professional onboarding, and the helpful Winston assistant are the main advantages for my colleagues and me.

I haven't found any areas for improvement yet, but I'll keep looking. :-)

We're able to automate email campaigns easily, and integrate different funtionality such as dynamic data, SMS and alternate pathways of communication. We also get clear and consistent analytics from all campaigns.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

It doesn't fully integrate with our historic CRM sytem - Raisers Edge.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to automate campaigns that are templated well in their design, and can be pushed to thousands of our contacts at any one time.

  ### 7. A Truly Excellent Mailing Platform

**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

I've used Dotdigital at multiple organisations now and I honestly think it's one of the best emailing platforms out there. It has a incredible simply user interface, the ability to edit style and form is very easy and allows you to really express your organisations branding. It's fast. The re-mail feature is incredible helpful and is a feature that I rarely see on other platforms. It's not prone to crashing or errors which is always good when working on an email campaign that for a few hours without saving it (believe me, it's happened to me before using other internet based emailing platforms where I've lost hours of work because of a glitch in their system). It's safe, sound, reliable, secure and easy to use and presents everything very easily and digestibly. It link well with third party apps to provide any extra's you may or may not need for reporting and what not. It links perfectly with Spekrtix, which iso out Customer Relationship Management of choice, making working between the two really efficient and effortless. Preview and test is a helpful feature when working on a campaign. The customer support is excellent. Fast, responsive and professional. Always going the extra miles or address and support you with any issue or question (not that there are many issues). Links are really easy to insert and there is a vast range of different types of links you can use for different purposes. Importing contact lists is easy and fast.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

One annoyance is, when sending test emails for proof reading, the emails tend to go into peoples junk folder rather than their inbox, but I imagine that might be somewhat out of the realm of control of Dotdigital and more to do with individual email accounts and spam filters. Sometimes the stat reporting is a bit limited without the intervention of third party  apps but even still it's robust enough for my usage. The font range is a little bit limited but I'm sure there may be a way to add more but I struggled to find out how. manually adding contacts into Dotdigital is sometimes a little bit long and tedious.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dotdigital is working on even more levels on integration with other parties and companies and apps. WhatsApp and TikTok integration are two new features that are great for pushing marketing out even further and engaging with more and more and new audiences.

It's easy to build campaigns and segment the data to split test subject lines or content. It's easy to build user journeys. We like that image assets can be stored in the platform for repeated use. Our emails get huge open rates and click through rates with DotDigital.

Nothing really! Just that more clients don't use it.

Dotdigital is incredibly intuitive to use, even for someone without a technical background. The drag-and-drop email builder is brilliant – it saves so much time and still delivers polished, professional results. I also really appreciate the automation features, which allow us to set up personalised customer journeys with minimal effort. Reporting is clear and easy to understand, making it simpler to measure campaign performance. Their support team is responsive and genuinely helpful, which adds a lot of confidence when using the platform.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

The email editor is good, but sometimes it feels limiting when trying to customise layouts beyond the basics. It would be great to have more variety in ready-made templates, especially ones tailored to different industries or use cases.

Simple, intuitive interface with effective customisable reporting options.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

If you set up a process outside of it's preferred way of working, it's sometimes difficult to close the loop should you need to make changes in the future (e.g. unsubscribe pathway).

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability for multiple team members to build e-newsletters that can be reviewed / triaged by a brand guardian ahead of send - for consistency and quality control. 

The ability to create personal fundraising touchpoints through email and SMS - to increase income generation. 

To create ad hoc surveys and landing pages for pilot campaigns and innovations. 

The ability to integrate with a forthcoming CRM to build better quality marketing data lists without the need for offline, manual pulls - to save time and maximise engagement.

SSO ability for cyber security requirements.

Fantastic user interface, great email system. I have been using the platform for over 10 years now, recently upgraded to the CXDP plan to provide more digital integration of our email, socials and crm systems. Excellent customer service and very helpful trainers.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

Price could be cheaper and discounts for not for profit industry could be more generous.

Sometimes the live chat can't answer my questions and I get transferred to support via email which isn't as quick.

I like the fact the email and SMS functions are all under one account so I can create an email and mirror an SMS campaign of the same promotion all under one umbrella.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

The only thing that comes to mind is if I need to make a change to my subject lines, I have to go all the way back to the creation page to adjust and update, then go all through the pages and list attachment all over again - it would be nice if there was a function to be able to edit the subject line from the final page, before sending live.

Being able to source and copy newsletter templates within our School and to easily adapt its style to my team's instead of creating a newsletter template from scratch. Its analytic reports are also very useful to understand how engaging and effective our newsletter is, and which audience groups are most engaging.

Dotdigital have it all, on hand service, training and expertise whenever needed. Our account manager, Jay, has helped us greatly over the years for which we are very grateful for.

The program is easy to use and provides excellent reports for us to use.

I find the software really intuitive.  I've used it for most of my marketing career and its always been reliable.  I've used it when integrated with software, and when data lists are uploaded and both ways have always worked well.

I just find the clicks to get to the images probably the most annoying, it feels like there are too many.

We needed to email out to our customers, and this is the software that integrated with Spectrix the easiest.

The single most outstanding thing about Dotdigital is the exceptional customer support.  From out first enquiry as a potential customer, through configuration and support, the service standard cannot be faulted.  One to one, personal support from out CSM is outstanding and response times from the support team equally so.

The only downside that is worth a mention, is that design elements (templates, forms etc) are a little basic.  A few more styling options and font uploading would be a great benefit.

Overall UI and ease of use - i've used other software that tends to be bloated/ complicated to use, and has roadblocks in place to stop me using it effectively - With Dotdigital, it's super helpful that it's steamlined so much, especially when it comes to teaching my colleagues how to use it, I often have to do inductions for new starters who all say they're relieved how easy to use it is.

Customer support is also stellar, WinstonAI is super helpful but I love that I can still speak to a human within seconds if I want to, unlike some companies where it's all AI/automated messages.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

Some intergrations can be complicated to figure out if i've set them up correctly, we've had issues with both google sheets and eventbrite - nothing some troubleshooting can't fix but wish it was a bit more plug and play.

We have a few issues with unreliable emails - Dotdigital solves that easily by filtering them for us on upload - We also are a bit of an older company so having the ability to self serve is essential - the quick Customer Support really helps that

This platform is easy to use and easy to integrate with a variety of cart platforms, and their support team is incredible during onboarding and beyond. I use Dotdigital every day, whether or not I'm sending emails, because their reporting functions give me a great view of our entire ecommerce business. It's also been a pleasure working with our incredible Customer Success Manager, Alyssa Brown, and I always look forward to our monthly meetings! Highly recommend Dotdigital for all the DTC marketers out there!

As an organisation we love using Dotdigital, it has a vase number of features which you can incorporate into any campaign. Compared to other platforms Dotdigital is setup to be used as a marketing function and has key elements like A/B testing, plain text etc all in mind when setting up a email campaign. 
One thing which really stands out to us is the customer support tools, there are endless amount of guides along with chat support which has been more than useful at the those times you just can't figure it out.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

Can't fault it! Unfortunately for us internally we had a new CRM system implemented and unfortunately the integration with Dotdigital just wasn't possible.

We have a number of colleagues across the business which need to send emails. Dotdigital allows us to train these colleagues to be self-sufficient on the platform and be responsible for their own emails. Dotdigital email template builder is very easy to use and can be very self explainatory.

Dotdigital's market-leading email tool was ahead of its time 15 years ago. Since then they have strengthened it with new features and tools that are as easy to use.
They guide you through the implementation and integration with other systems.
I feel sorry for other marketers that aren't able to use Dot Digital.
When I go for a job interview and they are heavily wedded to a competitor tool with no interest in moving to dot digital I may take a pass on the job. Dot Digital is part of the kit I use to help businesses.
The yearly events are great. They give you a personality.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

There's a real risk that as Dot Digital gets bigger and adds features it will be its downfall if it can't deliver those features in as much quality as it does already for the rest of the platform. Half baked.

Having to pay extra for Google ads audiences is a bit lame.

Reviews.io reviews take up my contact credit. But I cant communicate to them through the platform. To my knowledge.

The platform itself is reliable, with user-friendly interface that makes utilizing Dotdigital a breeze. Plus, customer support is extra responsive and helpful, always resolving whatever technical issues I face (which isn't many) on the spot. Incredible software that helped in our Customer Retention and Retargeting efforts.

It is first and foremost an email marketing platform with SMS marketing features. I find that there's much to improve with the SMS portion, perhaps better trackability of performance. However, having said that, SMS greatly differs region by region based on the country's telecom laws and whatnot so restrictions in what type of content is allowed in SMS might vary for this reason.

Dotdigital makes personalizing communication easy for marketers at any level. We were very excited about the sms functionality; however, this is limited due to the nature of our industry. I was hoping they would have providers and routes to assist us. **What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

The simplicity of using the platform, the updates that are always offering the latest features. The customer support given throughout my experience with DotDigital has been excellent, right from when I spoke with Sales (Elliot) to get our bespoke quote and well into our onboarding with Oliver. In between during my onboarding I had Josh and Anna assist with the setup of our account and the integration with Adobe. Love the look and feel of the platform and the ability to switch seemlessly from our parent account to our child account.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

The onboarding experience was a little clunky and I felt that I was 'left to it' in the first month but after I was passed onto another staff member they took a lot more of a hands on approach (which I prefer this type of aid) and worked through implementing programs and integrating our Adobe Commerce Cloud platform with DotDigital. This was a very positive experience after the first month feeling a little overwhemed with the integration process when things went wrong. I don't dislike the templates but feel more could be offered to clients such as a taster of their branding styled emails which is usually a paid service/upgrade...this could be given as a one of template to trial at the start of our journey with DotDigital which would support a case to free up more budget.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had workflows previously provided by Zoho Campaigns, however the amount of features on DotDigital are leagues above what we were able to use in the old system. With programs and auto emails ready to be sent daily we are truly seeing the benefits of having these in place and it has also saved me a lot of time. The template designs are friendly enough and have enough to cover what we need it for, although it would be nice to have more options to offer our customers.

**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

The onboarding was very detailed, and informative done by Carlus who was great and answered all our questions. The ongoing support and online guides/blogs/AI bot were really helpful when questions arose or team members needed extra training. Email journeys were easy to build/track. We were able to cleanse our subscribers, using DotDigital tools to remove invalid contacts and also double-verifying new contacts which was great to ensure compliance. The reporting section was very detailed showing website visitors and it was easy to export reports and customise them.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

As our company is sales-focused, we ideally wanted to be able to send emails as though they were being sent from individuals in our company such as an email from our CEO's work email rather than a marketing domain. Understandably this was so the sender reputation isn't affected, but it is something we are able to do on other platforms so this would have been good.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped cleanse our subscription list ensuring our data is compliant. Also improved email deliverabilty.

We like how the system works and allows us to segment our audience and set up automated sequences. The setup process was good and the team are quick to respond with support questions. We also like Fresh Relevance from DD and how this integrates into the system and with whatsapp

Lots of really useful guides and information available in their training/help centre. Access to support through live chat available. Cool AI features to support email building and data selection.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

Cannot integrate cost-effective subscriptions on platforms like Email on Acid or Litmus directly into the Dotdigital interface

Sometimes helpful features are hidden and could be more obviously on display.

**What do you like best about Dotdigital?**

DD's ability to quickly create responsive emails is a big step-up for us since we moved from Mailchimp. Now we can finally reach our design goals without having to compromise the look and feel of our brand for a responsive friendly middle ground. I would also like to mention that the support is fantastic, the best I have come across.

**What do you dislike about Dotdigital?**

The user interface could be significantly improved. It looks somewhat dated and is often difficult to navigate. Modernise the user interface and experience and rule the market.

**What problems is Dotdigital solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing our outbound marketing database allows us to segment and organise our data. Enabling us to contact customers with the information they want. The easy-to-configure API has also made Dot Digital the main database for our product registration system.
