"Practical connector to connect apps to MySQL database"

What do you like best about dotConnect Universal?

Instance access to MySQL database.

Provides driver manager based and native interface to the database.

Can easily use with Microsoft access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about dotConnect Universal?

There are some minor bugs which has to be fixed - bugs in dynamic cursor. Null pointer will result in a crash.

What do you like best about dotConnect Universal?

Very clear and easy instructions about the usage of the site, how to create campaigns and how to add mailing lists. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about dotConnect Universal?

$200 a month for the pro version, and its hard to navigate within the application to do more visually appealing things to emails, must use other apps like photoshop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering dotConnect Universal:

It's relatively cheap considering the other options and you have the option to send up 1,000 emails in the free version. Very easy to use and navigate, and perfect for first-time users and experienced users who can integrate with other applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is dotConnect Universal solving and how is that benefiting you?

Easily integrates mailchimp with other applications I use, best way to send mass emails to people (I've also used Constant Contact and switched back to Mailchimp) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It’s easy to connect with the MySQL data directly from any application which support ODBC connectivity. Can access SQL server database from windows, Linux , Mac OS X and both 32 and 64- bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In our code we need to establish the connection for odbc driver and it is difficult to manage while using framework. Make brain ace and manipulation is not effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its difficult to switch if you have solid, long-standing customer lists, but MailChimp is very helpful in porting over your existing customer lists and setting up mail templates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great ODBC Driver for Azure SQL Database Use"

If you can't get a connection check your firewall. Make sure your environment allows for connection to the outside world! If in doubt check the documentation. The Azure team at Microsoft has also done a great job at documentation. Also browse the internet for forums, YouTube videos, online courses, and more for additional resources. What problems is dotConnect Universal solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed to read data from our Azure SQL Database. This driver allowed us to easily connect to the Azure SQL Database. After installing and configuring, I was able to get the data I needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
