DonorPerfect has helped our organization move away from spreadsheets to a smoother and more intuitive way of tracking our donations which has enabled us to make our giving more relational rather than transactional. From the initial setup, training process, customer service and access to a deep knowledgebase I have been extremely impressed with all that DonorPerfect has to offer. Our team is building our Development Program and the integrations DonorPerfect offers allows us to focus on building relationships while feeling conifdent that the technology is backing our efforts in every way. There are two facets of Donor Perfect that I think make it stand out. First, it is easy to use and to teach others how to use. For the most part, it is very intuitive, making bringing new users on hassle-free. Second, the support team, both via chat and phone, is excellent. They are consistently available, knowledgeable, and helpful. We are a small non profit that does not use the majority of Donor Perfect features. Things like events, contacts, and mass mailings are just areas that we don't use - not because they are difficult to figure out, but because our organization does not do those things. The ease with which I can create all variety of useful reports; mainly I create mailing lists for thank you letters or for mass mailings such as an annual report or year end appeal letter. Additionally I can use a spreadsheet of donations made online and upload them quickly - sure beats manual creation of new records! The tutorials in Knowledgebase and On-Demand Webinars have also been helpful. Finally, our customer relations rep, Julie, is always quick to respond to any question I have! The least helpful part of DonorPerfect is the way filters are set up. You end up with hundreds of filters each accomplishing a very specific task, instead of a report interface that lets you change and save criteria as you need them. Additonally, calculated fields are quite complex and not user-friendly. Both the filters and calculated fields require SQL knowledge (or contacting their support team to create the code for you). Excellent customer support and easy to integrate. From their sales team to their private, group, and recorded demos, DP did a great job at highlighting what sets them apart as the right CRM for our organization. I am only a part time employee so I lost some of the information in the swarm of emails that come through each day. They could do a better job at separating the resource emails from the customer "take action" type emails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I dislike about Donor Perfect is that the site is not very user-friendly. I find it very hard to pull reports. Multiple steps must take place to pull a report, and I often forget these steps and have trouble pulling reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like scheduling reports, the smart action feature, and the ability to send alerts to myself and others and being able to add those alerts to my calendar of choosing. The ability to send ack letter emails and/or letters is nice.

Customer Support responds quick, but does not always know the answers. Their suggestion is always to use the "Suggest and Vote" option and hope that they implement your idea at some point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Report creating is not as user friendly to navigate. DP uses different terms for things that what we were previously used to...for example "Notes" section for me is called "Contacts" in DP. You can use the screen designer to change certain things to reflect what you want to see, but if you are creating a template you have to refer to the original coding.

I do not like the fact that DP wants spouses to be one combined account, instead of separate. You can keep them separate, but unless you soft credit the spouse on every donation it will not capture that they gave. Our way around that will be to only choose one spouse that we label as the HOH to be the recipient of any acknowledgement letters, unless we know that they prefer to be separate on their giving. There is no easy way to run a report to determine both individuals giving levels without running them individually, combining them on a spreadsheet, and manually deleting duplicate entries in order to give them their total.

Knowledgebase and webinars are pretty outdated.Lot's of questions being asked, and no answers.

There have been constant issues with inconsistent information that shows in DP that does not correlate with what the processing gateway shows. BTW the processing gateway you have to use is SafeSave, and Donor Perfect owns them. You cannot opt out of using them unless you don't want any of your date to integrate automatically.
