With the right analyst organizing the templates Domo provides easy to to read high level overviews for data, and details that build the overview. The fact that they have integrations with so many data sources for your company makes it a great resource to review all the data that your company uses from various sources. **What do you dislike about Domo?** The only thing I would say that I dislike about it is that it does take some time to build out your custom reports, but if it were easy to build then there wouldn't be a need to outsource a data hub for everything your company needs, which in my professional opinion is just part of the game. This software will potentially shorten the process for data collection in the near future and is totally worth the effort to get everything set up. **Recommendations to others considering Domo:** Make sure you are aware of the time that it will take to implement and continually use and build within the software. And make sure that whoever you use to build (if you're doing it internally) knows understand how to analyze your data. It's been a great tool for me in my position, however I wasn't the one building the data tables or the reports generated. It took a few months to get everything correct and working properly, but in my opinion it has been a game changer when it comes to simplifying live data. **What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?** With so many different areas of data in a company from finance, to KPI tracking, it can be difficult to log into a large variety of softwares and export everything manually. It's more visually appealing than a lot of BI tools out there but I think the biggest factor in selecting DOMO as our BI tool was that the data analytics process from beginning to end is made easier with the various options that DOMO has to connect to the data, ETL, and create visualizations. The mobile was also very well built and is constantly getting better. **What do you dislike about Domo?** While DOMO is constantly innovating and thinking of the next step it seems like they get ahead of themselves when rolling new features out. Often times if a problem or question is presented to them they can be quick to jump the gun and provide a solution to make an additional sale but the solution may not even be a production level application or is very buggy. **What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?** At a corporate level we're solving problems in regards to cash flow, consistent reporting on our portfolio, and creating efficiencies amongst each department. The connectors make connecting to your data easy, even for someone with little technical background. The Domo ETL works well for a lot of data manipulation and makes it easy to manipulate data for someone without SQL knowledge. There is still the ability to write SQL (mySQL) or utilize Redshift for more complex data manipulation. We've also utilized the Python SDK and the R Add in for additional manipulation. Domo is constantly working to improve the platform, so new features are always getting added. During Domopalooza 2019 they launched the "stories" design which significantly improved the visualization of the dashboards. **What do you dislike about Domo?** Every company we've implemented on Domo has it's own unique use cases. Like any BI platform there's always the possibility for finding a new, creative way to either manipulate your data or visualize your data. There have been very few use cases that we haven't been able to find a workaround for, it just might take some trial and error or creative brainstorming to get there, but I imagine that is the case with any data solution. A lot of our clients continue to want to replicate their familiar Excel tables and formatting of different datatypes (%, $, decimals vs. no decimals) can be challenging. I am a team of 1 managing over 200 users over 800 datasets and 150 pages with over 1,000 cards. **Recommendations to others considering Domo:** Design cards that answer specific business questions. Stay away from pivot cards for doing analysis in Domo. From my experience if you are coming off of tools like excel your userbase will want to see the same thing in Domo. If you design a dashboard or story that answers all of their questions then a pivot table is not needed. Be prepared for the product to explode. Everyone is going to want access. We started out with 24 users and are currently managing over 200 Domo users. **What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Creating a centralized location for collecting and analyzing all of our data. We are currently building pages to help with expansion projects for 4 of our manufacturing plants. When moving multiple machines and products from one manufacturing facility to another we have to follow a change control process. There is also a WYSIWYG tool that does not require any SQL knowledge that a reasonably savvy person can figure out how to use. They also have hundreds of prebuilt data connections that dramatically reduce the implementation time. **What do you dislike about Domo?** It is not possible to connect to your data via a traditional SQL client. As a result, building out your ETL processes can be very slow and time consuming. Especially with bigger data sets. This also makes it difficult to staff for. Dome stands out above all is for the infinite possibilities to inform. There are no limits on how I can manipulate data and display it in the way that suits me. **What do you dislike about Domo?** There is not much I do not like, what I could say is that it is not so intuitive, and the visualizations are not so beautiful. **Recommendations to others considering Domo:** This application has a very advanced intelligence, thanks to this, you can manage all types of business projects at a maximum level. One of its best features is the ease of user functionality. It is an excellent program with features for the needs of any user, its functions are unique in such a complete and diverse program so I store information in a very secure way, with access to it, from anywhere.
