I think that Domo has created an amazing community with the Dojo and that helps make it easier to find an answer to questions that are tougher to answer. We frequently use Domo and it makes a lot of the reporting we do much easier. The ability to automate has made our work processes much quicker and very easy. **What do you dislike about Domo?** Customer support. It is really hard to actually get someone from Domo on a call to help answer questions. There is somewhat limited capabilities in their card displays. On multiple occasions we have had to disinclude data from a visualization becasue there was too much data and all of it wouldn't display. **What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Domo makes automation of report generation very easy. Once a dataflow and the corresponding visualizations are built it is as simple making sure the data you have is updated and correct. ### 5. Domo's support team is quick to assist me when I have problems and are great at communicating where they are at in their mitigation process. I know that Domo is constantly interacting with their users through their various community platforms and events which I really appreciate. I know that I can suggest new tools and the Domo team will actually consider them which is great! **What do you dislike about Domo?** Domo is constantly evolving and creating new products and tools which is amazing, but documentation can sometimes be hard to find to support these new tools. I also find that Domo has a lot of bugs with their new tools, which obviously is to be expected, but I wish ther was more testing done before releasing or announcing the release of new products. However, I feel like I am able to quickly notify Domo support of any issues I find and they are able to help me or let me know that they are notifying their engineering team. **What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Domo helps us to create and share various data visualizations to all employees within our company. When showing a new user how to navigate, you basically just have to show them the filter views and how to use the date ranges (which isn't difficult). After that, they can pretty much navigate themselves and find insights that are interesting to them. The coding is pretty intuitive and Domo lets you know if the coding is accepted and valid. The only thing that would improve this process is if it would actually point out the part of the code that isn't working. That said, the knowledge library has a lot information in it and comes in useful quite often when the code isn't working or when you don't quite know how to do something. Domo excels when being used for visuals. If you're looking for a software that makes it easy to pull in data and create visuals based off of it, this is it. The development team continues to add more features and to make Domo more capable. **What do you dislike about Domo?** The coding language for Domo, while not difficult, is slightly different from other languages. It's mostly intuitive, but there are a few quirks that you have to be aware of. They're still working on developing some aspects, as well, so certain things like user editable fields are not currently an option. However, they are continuously improving and working on adding more functionality, so I don't find this to be concerning. It is not a CRM, so if that's what you're looking for, this isn't it (yet--maybe they'll develop that in the future). **What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Prior to Domo, we didn't have a great way to visualize our data (other than through data sheets and Excel graphs). This has made it easy to have many visuals and tables that automatically update once the data flows have updated. For those of us who are more visual, it has been amazing. Insights are easy to find and easy to retain. With the data streams that we have coming in, it's easy to merge them into tables to show more visuals and insights than we ever had available to us before. We are also finding that there are many people in various aspects of our business that are able to use the software for tasks or data that we hadn't thought of before. ### 8. When I raised a concern about understanding our uses when converting from the license-based model to their new consumption model, NO information was shown about our prior use. Mobile Accessibility: One of the best things about DOMO is its mobile application, both for android as well as iOS users. The CXOs of the company can view dashboards and insights easily on their fingertips through the mobile app. 3. Customer Support: DOMO provides good support and customer care options and the support team is always ready to help. **What do you dislike about Domo?** Despite being easy-to-use and affordable, there are a few not-so-big disadvantages of using DOMO. You won't see much of the themes and creative visuals here. Only limited themes are there which can make almost all the dashboards/apps look similar. The tools works best as a daily driver for your analytics needs. If I get a question on Domo while I am away from my computer, the mobile app allows me to answer questions and share insights in a pinch. I also love the resource platforms that Domo provides such as the Community Forum, Support, or Domo Central pages with reference guides on Domo function. **What do you dislike about Domo?** While I understand Domo being in it everyday, it does seem to have a steep learning curve for new users and those that are not as data-driven. Sometimes things in Domo break for apparently no reason (a view breaks or doesn't allow a certain function that one would expect in a query view or a data connection breaks). Ease of use: I was able to quickly come in and operate Domo. 2. Magic ETL: My favorite feature is the Magic ETL. I can wrangle and manipulate the data in all sorts of ways to get it just the way I need it. 3. Beast Modes and fixed functions: What can't be done in ETL (or needs to be done on the spot) can be accomplished with Beast Modes in the vizulization. Fixed functions allow you to stack aggregations (sums of sums, sum of maxes, etc) **What do you dislike about Domo?** For instance, yesterday I was creating a pivot table and needed the cells to change color based on whether the dollar amounts met a specific threshold. Although there are several ways to change cell colors, I encountered some challenges. Initially, I attempted to use the color preference feature, but it required the cell to contain an exact value. I had a beast mode that categorized values as “Met expectations” or “Did not meet expectations,” and I wanted to highlight the dollar amounts in red or green accordingly. However, I could only color code based on the dollar amount itself. Given the variability in thresholds and the impracticality of specifying every possible dollar amount, this approach was not feasible. Next, I tried embedding the color change in HTML within the beast mode, which typically works, but it was ineffective in a pivot table. I then attempted to use green and red square emojis (🟩 and 🟥) concatenated with the dollar amount as a visual cue. While this provided a color signal before the dollar amount, it did not change the text color and resulted in the loss of comma separators for thousands. Although I could have programmed the beast mode to include these separators, time constraints prevented me from doing so. Ultimately, I opted for a separate column: one displaying the green and red emojis and another showing the dollar amount. This solution, while functional, was not ideal. **What problems is Domo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Domo offers quick and customizable charts suitable for users of various functions, along with impressive ETL and drill-down capabilities. ### 48.
