## DocVerify Reviews
  ### 1. "STAY AWAY! NOT RECOMMENDED. SHHHAAADY BILLING"

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danielle C. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2022

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

NOTHING! I never had a use for their system. I was okay with that the 1st time around. See my dislike comments. This Company is as shady as they come. STAY AWAY! NOT RECOMMENDED!

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

They do automatic renewal with no notification that they will be doing this and storing payment information. Also, there is no reminder that your subscription will be renewed shortly. DocVerify tried to charge a card that had become compromised, so the payment didn’t go through as I had shredded the card. Although there was NEVER A REMINDER that renewal was upcoming, they certainly had NO trouble getting a notification that the payment didn’t clear as I had several things coming up for renewal around the same time. I quickly added the new card information and hit send. I then realized (under 5 minutes) that I had never used the service and had no intention of paying for another year for a service I would not use. I immediately requested a refund. They refused a refund—what a sleazy way to do business. I suggest reading other similar reviews about them. Deceptive billing is a common occurrence, with many complaints regarding refunds and poor customer service.

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

"STAY AWAY! NOT RECOMMENDED. SHHHAAADY BILLING"

I RECOMMEND NOTHING!

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are no problems you can solve with DocVerify as the biggest problem is with the company itself. There is no financial benefit when you don't use the system and are out the money due to deceptive billing practices.

**Official Response from Katharine Ridenhour:**

> We're sorry to hear that you were less than satisfied with DocVerify. We’ve received your recent review and would like to apologize for not meeting your expectations.

We pride ourselves on the high-quality standards we maintain and products we offer. However, in this case, we understand there is always room for improvement.

  ### 2. Horrible Support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Caitlyn M. | Property Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2022

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

Nothing, it is useless if support can't help fix the timeout errors.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

I submitted a support request for the timeout issue that we've been having. Every time I responded I got a different person to respond back, which was less than helpful. Then I had my ticket "sent to the developing team" and then they closed out the support ticket and I've gotten no help since. Complete waste of time and money. I brought this to their attention, and submitted another ticket and that was promptly closed as well.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None at this time, its non-functional.

**Official Response from Katharine Ridenhour:**

> We would like to apologize for your recent experience with DocVerify. We're sorry to hear you were less than satisfied based on your recent review.

We pride ourselves on our ability to provide the best quality products and exceptional customer support, but we understand there is always room for improvement.

  ### 3. Worst vendor I have ever delt with

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff I. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

Easy to sign up and pay my money all down hill after that.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

Customer support is horrible. No phone support. I found their Phone # on my credit card bill, but no answer and no way leave a message. I asked many times by email for someone to call me to no avail. I spent over $600 and it still didn't work they wanted another $480 to make it work. After a month and a half of frustration and wasted time and money I asked for my money back and was told no. I have now disputed the charges to my credit card. If you need their type of service I would look elsewhere.

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

Look for another vendor

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NONE

  ### 4. Deceptive billing, terrible customer service, hidden fees, clunky product

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2021

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

There was nothing that I liked about DocVerify.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

DocVerify was so clunky to use, that after wasting $400 to set it up, I never ended up using it. What I thought I paid for was a year of service, rather than a monthly subscription. I thought that was it, but it turns out that DocVerify also has a very deceptive billing practice where, without any prior notice, they charge your card a year later for another year of service. Apparently, somewhere in the two-hour process to set it up, you agreed to it in the fine print. Of course, they don't have any customer service, just an email address. Within 5 minutes of seeing the charge pop up, and while the charge was still pending, I contacted DocVerify to let them know that I wasn't using the service and wanted a refund. They refused to do it, opting to keep my money when they knew I wouldn't be using their services at all. They smugly referred me to their fine print, showing me that they think it's perfectly okay to steal my money. It's not okay. It's theft. It's a shady, awful business practice. I wouldn't subject my clients to DocVerify's clunky service, but I would never even think about subjecting them to deceptive billing practices and keeping money that I didn't provide services to earn. Stay away from this business. It's not worth it by any measure.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DocVerify solved zero problems and only caused new ones.

  ### 5. Does not work! Support is non-existent!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen L. | Paralegal, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2021

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

I did not like anything about it. It failed when I needed it and when I tried to contact support, nobody returned my emails or calls.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

It does not work as advertised. You pay the price of the subscription and extras and when it does not work, there is no place to turn. All you are told is that there are not any refunds. If they stood behing their product, they would refund, when it failed. This seems like a scam. Pay the price; it does not work and then you can't find anyone to make it right. They do not want to make it right. I feel like they are just making money on what was needed during the pandemic and then running away with the money!

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved nothing. It only created more problems and provided no benefits.

  ### 6. Not recommended.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

I did not find anything to like unfortunately.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

I was charged a nonrefundable setup fee without being told that its technology is not compatible with Ohio attorney notaries who do not have an expiration date. I was told to use an arbitrary date, which made me uncomfortable. Customer service was fast to respond, but not helpful.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None and zero.

  ### 7. Unhelpful, Costly, Confusing

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristin K. | Certified Paralegal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2021

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

Nothing. They platform is confusing and not user friendly.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

Everything. You can't call customer service if you have an issue. They charge an arm and a leg to get anything notarial done. You can't even chat online with a rep, just a robot. Not renewing and will be seeking a new platform for my RON service.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't solved any problems. They have only created more problems and headache for this service.

  ### 8. NOT RECOMMENDED. SHHADY BILLING

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adriana H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

I made the mistake to trust DocVerify. At first they gave a price for RON but when I'm already signed they suddenly told me in order to use RON I will have to purchase the most expensive rate, I passed form 30$ per month to 75$. Then the site told me I had to purchase a signature, certificate and Tokens that where never reflected. In the end I paid about $300 without knowing what I was doing and I wasn't still able to do RON. I placed the claimed THAT SAME MINUTE and only returned $55 after hours of going back and forth... NOT RECOMMENDED, if you can go to another provider!!!!

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

The shady way to give prices, they are not honest and if you make a mistake ON THAT SAME DAY AND HOUR they wouldn't still give the money back!!!

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NO BENEFITS ONLY PROBLEMS

  ### 9. Literally use anyone else

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

Could be convenient to use if there was any customer service whatsoever

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

They have 0 understanding of their product and or how to help their customers. Small businesses make sure to use every dollar effectively, but with DocVerify if you are only spending 250 instead of a large account, you can't even get a phone call from their "support team." Further they don't even understand how their software ties into state applications regarding Notary services. Don't ask a question, you won't get an answer that took any thought to give. Lastly, if you do try to schedule a call with their business development manager you will see available slots, book it, and then be told that he/she isn't available at the time.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The only reason I paid 250.00 was to get the X.509 Certificate. I planned on using their software going forward, but their support is nonexistent.

  ### 10. DocVerify: buggy software + 0 customer service = loss of revenue

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan G. | Business Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

DocVerify made it very easy to sign up and register as an E-Notary. Their process was clear and very simple to follow. Their pricing is the cheapest of the (VERY limited) Pennsylvania-approved RON vendors, and the only service I as an independent notary (not part of a firm or corporation) can afford... so I really have no choice. If I want to be able to offer RON, it's DocVerify or nothing.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

I am aggressively marketing my RON services and basically breaking even or losing money, mostly due to DocVerify's bugs and how they take a blanket "not our fault no refunds" approach:
.
Is their system booting you which boots everyone else and you all have to rejoin the RON 5 times before giving up after you spent eNotary and KBA credits? TOO BAD! YOUR LOSS! THANKS FOR THE MONEY!!
.
Is one of your participants not getting access to sign the documents even though they are using a device and browser/OS combo that they prequalified to be compatible with DocVerify? BWAHAHA THANKS FOR THE MONEY!! NO SUPPORT.
.
Are your clients refusing to pay your fee because the experience took over an hour due to various bugs and technical difficulties? WELL THAT'S NOT EVEN OUR PROBLEM! TAKE IT UP WITH YOUR CLIENT!
.
Are you trying to add the "fillable PDF" fields to your documents, but every time you leave the page or click to a different document, you lose all your hard work, even if you meticulously hit "save and exit" after each added field? CRICKETS. CRICKETS. CRICKETS. BUT HEY, THANKS FOR THE DOCUMENT CREDITS THOUGH... THOSE ARE NON-REFUNDABLE!
.
Did DocVerify tell you that depending on your state laws, you may need to buy their SSL certificate for $100, but some states may be ok with you using the default DocVerify certificate without having to buy a special one? JUST KIDDING! YOU'RE LOCKED OUT OF YOUR NOTARY PROFILE UNTIL YOU BUY OUR CERTIFICATE! Oh, after you bought it the president of the Pennsylvania Association of Notaries AND a member of the PA Department of State Notaties Division told you you don't have to buy their certificate, and the default certificate is sufficient? WELL, YOU SEE... WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS.... UH... WE REQUIRE ALL OUR NOTARY SUBSCRIBERS TO BUY THEIR OWN CERTIFICATES FROM US FOR $100. TELLING YOU YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO BUY ONE IF YOUR STATE DIDN'T REQUIRE IT.... THAT WAS A LIE.

...but hey, thanks for the money though.

1 star. F-. Would not recommend

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

If you can afford another service, GO WITH THEM. If you can't, just know that DocVerify will nickel-and-dime you on credits, subscription fees, certificates the state doesn't require, etc. AND they will take ANY opportunity to charge you. I wouldn't be shocked if I had a dream about doing a RON and I woke up to find credit deductions. It's awful.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By signing up for an E-Notary account with DocVerify, I am able to become an Electronic Virtual notary public in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Especially now in the midst of the Covid-19 scare, it is more important than ever for my clients and myself to maintain safe social distances while performing notarizations. It just stinks that I have to do so at my own expense because DocVerify takes ANY opportunity they can to gobble up my money which I can't simply recoup by passing the cost on to clients.

  ### 11. RON is lot like torture - lots of fees; lots of glitches; does not work with Safari or Explorer

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

The fact that it is available during COVID times. Having the ability to remotely notarize is vital...but regret the choice of platforms.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

Not fully aware of fees until too deep; so many glitches; e-signature process not intuitive, even for the savvy clients (seriously, about 49% success rate). RON process is backward; can't see the client's side of things to be able to help; not able to cancel a signer or a doc in a packet (in e sig). So. much. wasted. time. We regret our choice of RON platforms.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remotely notarizing documents for clients during quarantine. The ability is good to have. I use for RON - which has more fees behind every corner. Each time you think you're done - surprise! Twice now, I have gotten to the very end with elderly clients (very hard to get them to this point in and of itself...), and the platform froze and shut down leaving us with no signed documents. Double time spent (non-billable -losing the form money), and frustrating experiences for all. I use also for e-sig, which is likewise pretty awful. I have about a 49% success rate - even with savvy clients. Twice now, it was a glitch in the system. For the rest, just not intuitive with regard to where and how to sign. You can't see what the clients see, so you can't help them unless they know how to screen share or screen shot. It's terrible

  ### 12. If you can find another option DO IT

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ana A. | Notary Public, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

Nothing, the system is complicated, buggy , when you have to re-start the whole thing they charge you credits again. it is not a friendly system and worse there is no live help you during a closing when you are in a jam. As soon as my month expires and I have the chance to get another service I will. I am in law school and I perform notarizatons on the side to make some extra cash but this thing made me loose time, money and clients.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

Everything, please see above. but what I dislike the most is how cheap this company is and disrespectful to the users by not having any live help at all when you are in a jam, I would not even care about paying extra for support. The id verification is a NIGHTMARE, the system is buggy and I haven't been able to get anyone to verify their ids and I got charged for everytime that it did not work. I hate this system and I am only using because I did not figure out another one but I called the notary associaton and they told me that they are receiving many complains and provided me a list of services.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not many because it is a nightmare to actually get a notarization done, one time it took 2 hours. If it worked and we had support when needed and it did not ripped you off by charging and it doesnt work it would be a great tool but it is not. It is horrible and expensive, and they do not care about the customers.

  ### 13. THE WORST PROGRAM

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 22, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

NOTHING. THIS PROGRAM WAS A WASTE OF MONEY

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

IMPOSSIBLE TO USE BOTH ON THE NOTARY SIDE AND THE CLIENT SIDE. I WASTED MORE THAN SIX HOURS TRYING TO GET DOCUMENTS LOADED AND READY FOR SIGNING ONLY TO HAVE THE SYSTEM MIX UP FAMILY NAMES FOR THE PARTICIPANTS ON THREE SETS OF DOCUMENTS, NOT VERIFY MY WITNESSES IN ONE OF THREE, AND MY CLIENT COULD NOT GET HER DOCUMENTS EXECUTED AS IT DID NOT ALLOW HER TO SCROLL THROUGH TO READ EACH PAGE, INITIAL WHERE INDICATED AND SIGN THE INDIVIDUAL PAGES--A MUST FOR ESTATE SIGNING

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

DON'T USE IT

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WAS TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF ESTATE SIGNINGS. THIS INCREASED MY WORK BY HOURS AND WE COULD NOT GET THE DOCUMENTS SIGNED. NO BENEFITS. I WANT MY MONEY BACK FOR THE TOKENS AND THE REGISTRATION

  ### 14. A complete waste of money

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike A. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

The ability to track and record everything that you do automatically

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

Have not found a dislike yet, but I will update if I do

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

Make sure you do you homework and you will see that this is the best service. I will continue to use this in order to expand my business and to help me to track all of my notary transactions. The ability to have a full audit trail not only protects me, but it protects all of my clients as well. You will need to fully utilize all of the offerings of DocVerify in order to see its full value. I may upgrade my membership as I expand the business that I do. Hopefully this helps you with your decision to go with this platform.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making myself available to do digital notarizations. Tracking is a benefit

  ### 15. Terrible support. Site is NOT user friendly!!! Expensive!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2018

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

From the webinar I watched before paying for their services it looked simple, which couldn’t be further from the truth. I trusted them because of so many great reviews- then I find out they bribe people for the good reviews!

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

Terrible support! Not user friendly. Very expensive. Platform wouldn’t even let me notarize two documents. I tried on two different computers & both chrome & Firefox with no results. Of course I couldn’t get any support. The next day I get an email that they want to get my problem resolved quickly LOL!

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

Please save your time and money and go with another platform. Don’t be like me - I was warned but still went with DocVerify & I’ve regretted every bit of it!
DocVerify is not user friendly. The only support you’ll get from them is emails back & forth with links that are no help. I paid $680 plus $20 for ID credits to get started with them & they couldn’t even take my call when their platform wouldn’t work. One of their competitors tried to help me figure out their site.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Absolutely no benefits. Cost me a lot of money and time

  ### 16. Not Ready for Prime Time

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

I like the promise. Online notarization is definitely the future. I’m on board.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

I have found it impossible to use. I am an attorney and I have been a notary for more than 20 years. I signed up and then tested the software by notarizing a document for myself (not a real document, just a test). I had two good computers next to each other so I could see both sides. I could not complete the notarization. Sometimes the signing side cannot click to sign. Sometimes the signer has clicked, the signing side says signing is complete, but the notary side says they have not signed yet. My best guess is this corona virus has caused their system to be overloaded. Since there is no live support, who knows.

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

Wait until the service has improved. It’s not ready yet.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None, it’s not usable.

  ### 17. Wasted 3 hours of my life

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Law Practice | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

Nothing, we failed to actually notarize the docs

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

We had 3 people in 3 different locations needing to sign two docs with notary. The system repeatedly rejected one persons back of a drivers licenses no matter how many times it was scanned, photographed, uploaded, resized, landscaped, regardless of app used, etc. Sometimes it rejected his selfie. Flat bed scanner, phone, it didn't matter what we tried it rejected him. No, the licenses wasn't expired -- the system kept saying the image was 'clear'. I tried it myself with his image and got the same problem (master's in computers here, so not user error). Notary said the remaining 2 parties could not sign without all 3 doing it at the same time. She had no ability to call support -- only email support available. Email support kept saying the user was doing something wrong. The system provides NO ability for the notary to be a smart human and accept the photo documents. The system itself must approve the documents and if it fails to do so then "no soup for you". The notary has surrendered all decision making ability and all judgement to the computer system. Given these restrictions, I'm not sure why a notary is needed at all. Sad to say, we tried for 3 hours to get the system to work. 4 people involved. Yep, the attorney's office ended up printing out the docs and mailing them fed-ex so we can go to the bank to get them notarized (in 3 different cities) and all fed-ex the docs back to the attorney. We should have this all done in a week.

Sadly, docverify took the old notary process that was kind of inconvenient and a little annoying and made it so much more painful. I hate getting things notarized and was so happy to hear my state changed the law to allow remote notaries. I'm utterly disappointed at what docverify has done with the process as there is no way around their system when it breaks. They have made in-person notaries the best option.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

avoid going to the bank for a notary

  ### 18. Worst sales customer service experience ever

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

Nothing. The technology looks useful but unfortunately nobody will answer any simple questions I have about pricing and use.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

There is no sales or customer service number or person to actually help you with any issues. You are forced to send emails that are never returned. This technology would be super useful if there was every anyone to help you. If a document came over and disappeared send an email. They don't care that it has been over 2 weeks and nobody has responded. If you want to upgrade your account and have a question, again send an email with no response. I am shocked that a company with such poor customer care is in business.

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

Seek elsewhere. This place is awful

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Remote notary and e signatures look to be very helpful. I am sure they are exactly what I am looking for, but nobody at the company will even try to pitch me a sale.

  ### 19. Frustrating and undependable

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

When I signed up it seemed like I would be getting a lot. Now I know better.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

As a remote online notary, I wanted a platform I could depend on to use to serve my customers during the pandemic. The fees here are astronomical. Five dollars per signature. On a simple 40 page loan doc, I might burn through 100 dollars. I only charged 50 for a short loan signing! The pricing comparison tables don't spell out what the ongoing fees actually are. I've only been active 10 days or so, and I am one third through my allotted signatures for the year. The platform has serious bugs. Several times I could hear a person and see them, then the feed dropped, then I could hear them but their video was dark with a bouncing neon light in one corner. I have to refresh or log out and in all the time. Today I notarized for the same man four separate times. Even though the success pop up screen appeared at the completion, nothing from the transaction saved and the information would not move to the completed folder. Huge waste of time. I sent in a support request and no one replied other than to ask for a screenshot. Of what? His docs still sitting in the process folder? On the help pages and community forum, the blame is placed squarely on throttled internet. My speed test shows I am five times higher than minimum speed requested on both downloading and uploading. Today I could not sign two afternoon files. The DocVerify site completely crashed. I tried from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to get one completed. Not possible. They need major site maintenance and to hire an actual support team. There is no phone support and the help pages are generic. I had to hunt down the support email and it was a dead end. I cannot depend on DocVerify to function. I'm actively seeking a replacement platform.

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

Look at another platform.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DocVerify has presented many speed bumps. I know I have lost hundreds of dollars due to signings that simply could not be completed on this undependable service.

  ### 20. Worst support of any company ever

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2020

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

I dont like anything about DocVerify. Terrible company

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

The support. It is email only. The support just emails back links to the online help that I have already read and my issue still isn't fixed. There is no phone number. I have emailed back and forth for 7 hours and the issue still isn't fixed and they just closed the support case out on me while we were still working on it.

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

Get a support phone number and people that know how to answers questions about your product.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Trying to do E-Notary but its not working.

  ### 21. THE WORST SERVICE EVER

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

If you sign up you will get ZERO service. Just lots of BOT answers and standard cut and paste auto replies from customer service. System is entirely UNUSER friendly. I've spent an entire day trying to get them to merge a free account into a paid account. Same answer again and again. There is no one to call and the threaten to not return any paid fees. This company is a joke.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

Lack of customer service. Platform is clunky and confusing.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ZERO. Plan to cancel and go to another company with higher ratings.

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

Free account is available for basic needs.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

Free account has too many limitations. The pricing.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Electronic Notary

  ### 23. The worse experience ever

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

nothing, I have no throughal explanation as to why I have to purchase credits and pay for the platform. none of this was mentioned.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

The misleading, not so transparent sales FAQ and the customer service is horrible.

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

I don't think this site is up front or fair. Without phone support, this is even worse. There's no immediate relief of issues and I am not looking forward to using this software. I feel like I just wasted my money.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving nothing at this point. I really would like my $250 back at this point.

  ### 24. Simply didn't work. Got kicked out many times. SIgnature and initials didn't work. Very disapointing

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

Nothing at all. Didn't work. Not sure this product is actually commercially ready.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

Everything. Everyone was frustrated, attorneys, notary, everyone.

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

Make a commercially viable product before you launch, this was garbage.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None, now. Thought it maybe a solution, clearly is not.

  ### 25. Good job in repelling their potential customers

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

It seems like they have some good features, including e-notary, which is key for some types of businesses.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

I believe I acted simply like any potential customer:
I registered for their trial (= 3 free documents) and tried to send a document to my friend for signature to test it. It was just a test contract. My friend was then getting email every day about the signature and I could not cancel it unless I would pay for it! He could not refuse on his side as well. So I went ahead and wrote to their support team:
"I've tried your service with trial account and I sent one contract to
see how the service operates.

Now I am unable to cancel the contract without upgrading and I even
don't see the option to cancel my account - and the person gets email
notifications every day! That's really a poor service and it's not the
way to attract new customers."

They replied the same day: "The accounts team will take care of it."

After 10 days (and 10 spam emails to my friend every day) my ticket was closed.

Their reply started with "Email support is not available with all editions, and we do our best to get to every request as quickly as possible based on your edition and SLA agreement." .. along with bunch of "Common FAQs" - all unrelated to my original question.

Right next email was asking for kind words in regards to their service... I don't know whether to take it as a joke or what, but I think it's very clear that they lost a potential customer and I am sure I am not the only one.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were considering it to include an API to our software and to offer it to our customers as we're missing some document signature integration. After initial disappointment we better don't go any further. Luckily there are other options our there.

**Official Response from David Andrews:**

> The Enterprise trial is meant for potential clients to get an idea how the system works, and it comes with a limited number of transactions because abuse has taken place in the past; however, if a potential client reaches out to the sales department we can work with that client in order to assist them with the product before purchase.

As for the notifications, we do have controls to control the number of notifications, and the signer can also opt out of notifications at any time by simply clicking on a link in the request. We are very concerned about spam, and the opt out feature has been a part of the system since the beginning.

If the subscription is a paid account, there is a cancel button to stop the subscription so that the client won't get charged anymore, and support can be contacted at anytime as well; however, if the user wants to delete the account they must contact support as we do everything in our power to protect the authenticity and integrity of not only the transactions, but also the signers as deletions of accounts are on a case by case only at the moment.

We really do our best to accommodate every potential client and client as possible, and we really do strive for the best service possible given the circumstances.

  ### 26. Why I may cancel my enterprise account

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about DocVerify?**

It is one stop shop for remote e-notary.

**What do you dislike about DocVerify?**

The nickle and dime of products. I buy credits and they expire at the end of 30 days. I will be cancelling.

**Recommendations to others considering DocVerify:**

If you are going to do remote notary for the 1st time, I recommend that you use a different software suite.

**What problems is DocVerify solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solution was to have one place for me to do remote notaries. I have not realized any benefits.

**Official Response from David Andrews:**

> We are sorry about your experiences, but we are a subscription based service where on the anniversary day each month it resets like most subscription based services monthly plans; however, the Enterprise annual licenses reset on the annual anniversary day as opposed to each month on the monthly month to month plans.

We also do allow non-contract clients to cancel at any time without penalties. Additionally, we are only the e-notary platform that enables notaries to perform either electronic or remote notarizations independently unlike other remote notary call center providers, and as a courtesy we have created a directory allowing users to find notaries.

Ultimately, it is the responsibility of each notary to market and advertise their own services like any other business in order to attract more clients even though we do try to go above and beyond to help notaries succeed as we firmly believe that the notaries success is also our success.

DocVerify is still the most affordable solution available, and we do our best to keep our fees as reasonable as possible.
