"Efficient and Organized Documentation for SaaS Products"
5/5
What do you like best about Documentation AI?

I’ve had a great experience using documentation.ai to create my application documentation. The user interface is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate and organize content. One feature I particularly appreciate is the ability to use a custom domain, which makes integration with our existing website seamless and professional. Performance is smooth and reliable—loading times are quick and I haven’t encountered any issues so far.

The AI-powered content creation is a real time-saver. It understands the context well and helps generate relevant, well-structured documentation without needing me to write everything manually. Overall, documentation.ai boosts productivity while maintaining high-quality output. I highly recommend it for teams looking for a powerful yet user-friendly documentation solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Documentation AI?

I don’t have any major dislikes about Documentation AI so far. However, there are a couple of features I hope will be added in the future: feedback and roadmap. A feedback feature would be very useful for collecting input directly from users or team members within the documentation. Meanwhile, a roadmap feature would help in planning and tracking upcoming feature developments or updates, similar to what tools like Featurebase offer. With these additions, Documentation AI would become even more complete and make managing documentation, team collaboration, and product planning much easier. "Forward-Looking Docs Platform with Truly Useful AI"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Documentation AI?

What I like best about Documentation.AI is how it combines traditional docs workflows with genuinely useful AI features instead of treating AI as an afterthought. The platform makes it easy to create, organize, and maintain documentation while also helping teams keep content accurate and searchable for both users and AI agents.

The AI-powered assistance, automatic documentation maintenance, and support for developer-friendly workflows like Markdown/MDX and Git integration stand out the most. I also appreciate the focus on AI-ready documentation standards such as llms.txt and MCP support, which makes the platform feel forward-looking rather than just another static docs tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Documentation AI?

One drawback of Documentation.AI is that, because it introduces several AI-focused workflows and concepts, there can be a bit of a learning curve at first — especially for teams that are used to more traditional documentation platforms. Some of the advanced AI and automation features may also require additional setup or experimentation to get the best results.

I’d also like to see the ecosystem and third-party integrations continue to expand as the platform matures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ultra-Fast Docs Platform with a Responsive, Hungry Team"
5/5
What do you like best about Documentation AI?

The interface is ULTRA FAST - no refresh needed whatsoever - and everything loads in a super clean, minimalistic way. The layout is easy to navigate, and you understand how to use it right away.

The “backend” interface is also clean and super fast, making it easy to create articles and MDX elements. I literally signed up and created a first test article in 3 minutes, so it's super easy to implement. They offer a very generous free tier that fits my needs, including the ability to use a custom domain (in their free tier!). I had my KB on another platform, and they migrated it for me at no additional cost.

Even later, when I ran into a few bugs, they fixed everything within a couple of days. Their team is very responsive and “hungry,” which is great, because that’s how you build great platforms and services. I also shared several features and enhancement ideas, and they’ve already implemented them.

They’re not forcing you to connect your GitHub to use their platform, so you can stay focused on documentation if that’s your main goal.

They are planning to have integrations in the near future (and I actually wait for it).

So what can I say? Documentation.ai feels like a breath of fresh air. They’re hungry to succeed, and that ends up being good for us - the users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Documentation AI?

If you need legacy integrations with external tools from day one, you’ll likely have to wait. That said, they do have an MCP server, which helps cover that gap to some extent.

They’re still in the beginning stage, so you can expect a few bugs here and there. In my experience, though, they were very responsive: they fixed issues quickly and even got on a call with me to look into a few things and guide me through them live. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lightning-fast, intuitive, and extremely helpful – a modern 'must-have'."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Documentation AI?

The combination of an intuitive structure and the AI agent is simply unbeatable for my coaching business. As a trainer, I have accumulated a tremendous amount of expertise over the years, which I have previously been able to communicate only with great difficulty. The onboarding was straightforward and quick. The AI agent now helps me to prepare complex content logically and structured in a matter of seconds. I was particularly impressed by the easy initial setup – the AI assistant supported me in structuring my "knowledge hub" almost like a personal co-author. The overall performance of the platform is also impressive; everything loads lightning-fast, making working on my documents extremely smooth and saving me valuable time in everyday life. The fact that various integrations are also offered is a big plus – even though I am not using them yet, I look forward to utilizing them in the future to scale my business. The price-performance ratio is TOP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Documentation AI?

For a brand in the fitness sector, the visual experience is crucial. Here, I would like even more flexible branding options to adapt the layout even more individually to my own corporate design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Instant docs from website scanning + powerful built-in AI – huge time saver"
4/5
What do you like best about Documentation AI?

What I like best is how fast it turns a blank page into professional documentation. The guided setup and website scanner automatically crawled my project's website and generated a really solid initial documentation. Quick “aha!” moment. This removes all the usual frustration of getting started.

The hosting seems fast and stable, the UI/UX is excellent, and the AI-powered search with built-in assistant is genuinely useful for my API's users. Overall it feels polished and thoughtful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Documentation AI?

Honestly, there’s very little I dislike about the product itself. The only real downside is the inherent SaaS tradeoff: you get great ease of use and speed, but you sacrifice some deep customization and full ownership compared to building everything yourself from scratch.

I can’t tweak absolutely every detail or host it on my own infrastructure, which might matter for advanced use cases. That said, the benefits (especially for non-technical team members) far outweigh this limitation for most projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Modern UI, Smooth GitHub Integrations, and a Strong AI Assistant"
5/5
What do you like best about Documentation AI?

I’ve been using the platform for about two months, and it has a modern UI. Overall, it feels solid and delivers the functionality I need. It’s genuinely a strong challenger to Mintlify and GitBooks, which I’ve used before but found too expensive.

The GitHub integrations are smooth, and the built-in AI assistant is really good. From an end-user perspective, the AI-assisted Q&A is fast and gets straight to the point. I also appreciate how quickly new features are being shipped, along with the well-documented onboarding emails and the documentation that’s available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Documentation AI?

Sometimes, after new features are added or other changes are made, I’ll come back to a page and it breaks even though it was working before.

The AI assistant for making changes in the documentation isn’t very intuitive. I can’t easily see the exact edits it makes. I’m familiar with Git and how to use it, but doing this directly on the platform feels a bit hit-or-miss.

Navigation in the editor is also confusing. When I’m moving from one setting to another, not everything is in the side navigation—some options are in the top navigation bar instead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Setup and Integration for Knowledge Management. The MCP Is a Game-changer!"
5/5
What do you like best about Documentation AI?

I use Documentation AI for our internal and premium customer Knowledge Bases. I love the MCPs that allow quick organization and creation of doc sites and the consumption MCPs that enable our AI tools to consume the knowledge and get insights from it. It allows us to create doc sites quicker than ever before, and the usability is fantastic, along with the MCP features and customizations. Setup was very easy as everything is very intuitive. What do you dislike about Documentation AI?

I don't dislike anything. I hope to see the evolution of the roadmap so we can see more features that will expand our use cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Migrated in an Hour—Flawless AI"
5/5
What do you like best about Documentation AI?

Great product. I migrated my support site from Gist in about an hour. The AI worked flawlessly. I really like that you can create a support site with built‑in AI: users can open the documentation in their AI service, there’s an MCP connection, and seamless GitHub integration. You can protect data with a password, customize the branding, and everything is GEO‑ and AIO‑focused. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Documentation AI?

At this stage I haven't found anything particularly problematic really. Maybe it can look a bit too techy for someone, but everything is really intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Documentation.AI Streamlines Feature Docs and Release Notes with Seamless Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Documentation AI?

Documentation.AI helped us reduce the time spent creating feature documentation and release notes by auto-generating structured drafts from product specs and engineering updates. With its seamless editing and publishing, our help documents also get updated easily. The assistance from their support team is really handy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Documentation AI?

For a beginner, it appears to be a bit of an effort for the learning curve but once the user gets a hands on view, it is smooth. They can perhaps improve the UI to be friendly for new users Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Documentation with Room for Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Documentation AI?

I like Documentation AI because it's easy to use and centralizes all the information I need to share. It's user-friendly for both me and my audience. I also enjoy the flexibility to design documents exactly how I want them. The ability to add code blocks is a standout feature for me, as it allows people to copy prompts with just one click without highlighting text. Additionally, the integration with GitHub that writes the documentation is refreshing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Documentation AI?

I don't like the fact that they only have like 3 templates, and I can't create my own. So every other Documentation AI site ends up looking the same. As someone with a design background, I want more freedom to implement my own designs. That's the only thing I don't like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
