We use Docsumo mainly to process large volumes of checks. It lets us upload batches, extract the key fields, and export everything into a CSV, which saves a huge amount of manual entry. For the amount of checks we deal with, this alone makes it worth using. Setup was straightforward, and once it’s running, it fits easily into our workflow. It’s something we rely on regularly. Instead of keying in check data one by one, we can upload batches, extract the information automatically, and export it to a CSV. Docsumo made it possible for us to switch from a competing OCR/IDP solution very quickly, even with a complex backend. We completed the migration in under one month, which is exceptional for this kind of system. The pricing is very fair and transparent, with a flexible subscription model that does not lock you into long-term contracts for multiple years. The OCR quality is strong: field recognition and mapping work very reliably, especially for structured documents like invoices. A particularly useful feature is the ability to validate and map extracted data against master data tables. Another big plus is the automatically available test environment, which integrates perfectly into a staging setup and makes development and validation much easier. Overall, the platform is easy to integrate and feels very developer-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Docsumo? One missing feature for us is the ability to run custom code actions directly triggered by events with a full event payload. While this would be very useful, we were still able to implement our required workflows using webhooks as a workaround. In terms of OCR, there are occasional character confusions (for example 0 vs O or 1 vs I), but this mostly happens on scanned, non-digital PDFs and is expected to some degree. The team is very motivated and helpful, but sometimes information or recommendations can differ slightly depending on the contact person, which can cause minor confusion. Docsumo addresses the challenge of consistently extracting structured data from large numbers of documents and integrating that information into our existing backend systems. By doing so, it greatly reduces the need for manual work, accelerates processing times, and enables us to create automated, scalable document workflows. Thanks to its rapid integration, staging support, and reliable OCR accuracy, we were able to transition to production swiftly while preserving high data quality. What do you dislike about Docsumo? Minor changes require retraining the models. It would be interesting to see how AI can help them versus using the traditional ML. We used to parse these bills manually for several hours and it prevented us from serving more customers. With Docsumo, it's down to either fully automatic parsing or only a few minutes per customer. Getting in contact initially was a little difficult with my first inquiry email being missed and the booking form for consultations did not account for being in opposite timezones. The extraction of header and line level data from invoices from a wide array of vendors with differing invoice formats. One of the key strengths of Ducsumo is its ability to accurately extract data from a wide variety of document types, including invoices, receipts, contacts and ID cards. Another feature that makes the software stand out is its ability to automate the document classification process. We can set up custom rules and workflows to automatically sort and categorize documents based on their content, making it easy to quickly find and retrieve specific documents. This was time-consuming for us to learn the software and set up custom workflows and rules. Ducsumo being a cloud-based software, requires a stable internet connection to work properly. It helps us automate the tedious task of data entry by accurately extracting data from many document types, reducing the time and effort required to enter data into other systems manually. Also, by offering a wide range of integrations with other systems, such as google drive, dropbox and salesforce, it eliminates the need for manual data transfer and ensures seamless integration with existing workflows.
