**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** grant m. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Recently, I have been using the online software Docparser to extract the relevant cost data from thousands of invoices.
all of it needing to be consolidated into one place and interrogatable.

At first, I was a little sceptical, having played with it a few years ago and given it away, but with technological advances, I decided to return and give it another go.

Yes there is a learning curve, but it's not too steep or agonising.

The team at Docparser have been fantastic in getting me up to speed pretty quickly or answering my “dumb” questions, usually overnight.

What has it meant to what I do and for clients in general?

Large numbers of PDF documents that previously would have gone offshore to be converted are now done in-house, which means a faster turnaround, better data alignment, less mistakes and an immense saving in time and money.

Yes, there is a cost, but generally, there is a plan to suit most needs.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Uploading large numbers of documents at once was an initial issues when we went to download the data. With the help of the Docparser team we found a work around and now we are not having any issues.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Docparser has increased productivity multfold. It has saved time and costs involved in extracting large amounts of data from PDF invoices, with the added benefit of less mistakes. All of this is now done inhouse rather than sent off-shore.

  ### 6. DocParser is a value-add for your business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dustin S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

DocParser has completely automated pieces of my business by automatically scanning and parsing certain documents that my business receives. The integrations with Zapier make it so that as soon as I receive these documents, they can be automatically uploaded and parsed by DocParser, which completely removes me or any other employee from performing error-prone manual mistakes.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

I consider myself fairly tech savvy, so the learning curve to onboard to the platform wasn't too difficult. Still, I could see how others who are not as tech-savvy may be overwhelmed by the options provided by DocParser for picking out fields from your document.

Fortunately for me, I appreciated the availability of these options. Still, it may be nice for DocParser to provide a "tutorial" or guide with an easy document to showcase the various available tools. Admittedly, these may already exist, and I just skipped over them all.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Parsing documents for things like Utility Bills to pick out service dates and amount due so that I can provide those tenants. It integrates with zapier to assist me with drafting up emails and billing appropriate amounts to my tenants.

  ### 7. Great service!

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

It's hard to setup and get the hang of it but once you get how it works it's quite slick

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Converts bank statements to transaction lists in a .csv for bookkeeping in Quickbooks

  ### 8. Great product that saves me time

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

I utilize Docparser to help automate my monthly billing at my business. I can create custom parses for all my orders to help compile line items in QuickBooks. Support was quick to assist me while i was getting used to the learning curve of utilizing a parser for the first time.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

There isn't a lot of negative to be said about Docparser. This is the first service of this type that I've used and I had little to not problem setting it up efficiently.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem: Manually entering line items in QuickBooks invoicing.
Docparser: Automatically generates a CSV that I can then upload to QuickBooks invoicing.
Benefit: Time savings

  ### 9. DocParser is great.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rene N. | Fibertekniker - Netværkstekniker - Software udvikler, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Docparser is easy to use and has good documentation. The API works well and allows me to extract data from various documents quickly and accurately. I like that I can customize the parsing rules and integrate Docparser with other tools. Docparser is a helpful tool for automating document processing and saving time.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

The least helpful thing about Docparser is that their workflows for creating parsing rules can be a bit confusing. Sometimes I have to go back and forth between different screens to set up the rules and test them. It would be nice if they could simplify the user interface and make it more intuitive.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Docparser is solving the problem of extracting product lines from invoices and credit notes. This is benefiting me because I can download the data with their API which works well. I can then use the data for accounting and reporting purposes. Docparser saves me a lot of manual work and reduces errors.

  ### 10. Mature option for document parsing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

I like how simple it is to grasp the essentials, even without having experience with these type of applications. The learning curve is great, because as you get more experienced you start to explore more, and think about other features you need, just to realize they are already there.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

With so many applications doing something similar, you might have solutions that are a better option for your specific use case, maybe as part of a suite, or integration with tools, but I really can't come up with anything bad to say about it.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Parsing several types of documents, from PDFs to Scans. Invoices to Complaints, occurrences, etc.

  ### 11. Robust Platform with a Helpful Team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric G. | Director of E-Commerce, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

DocParser is a robust parsing tool and has some of the most helpful folks I've worked with on their team. They are pros with the software and always ready to help.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Is it cliche to say 'nothing'? I only regret that we didn't leverage it enough to warrant the price.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used DocParser to parse quotes and push the data into our CRM. We wouldn't have been able to automate the process without a tool like DocParser.

  ### 12. 100% for ease of use and making real impact from day 1 of use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** suba l. | Admin, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Ease of use and a reasonably priced product delivers what it states capable of providing. Love it when parser opens many to door to different use cases

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Need to have more precise pricing in local currency instead of $USD only. Other than this, the product is incredible.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Extracting data from various reports for financial purposes and being able to webhook the extracted data for further processing which automates many things. Things are done much faster, and productivity can be achieved without putting strain on our resources

  ### 13. Docparser Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan M. | Director Of Administration, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Ease of use and the flexibility of the product. We use this product primarliy to process customer Purchase Orders and turn them into our Sales Orders. We do this vie webhook integrations. Docparser sends a webhook to Celigo Integrator.IO, which then maps the data into a NetSuite sales order.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Structuring the JSON data can be somewhat complicated if the user does not have a strong background with JSON. There is also a lack of AI, OCR functionality. I would like to have the ability to get the base64 encoded string of the PDF sent to Docparser, but this is currently not possible.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

If you have a need to process documents and are currently relying on manual processes, this is a no-brainer. The hours of man-power that can be saved by simply setting up customer templates is invaluable. Very powerful, cost effective tool.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sales Order manual entry. We are saving countless hours in our order entry process by not manually entering sales orders. Docparsers also allows us to standardize the information required to create Sales Orders. We can create templates for each of our customers to be able to extract the data we need from the documents they submit to us.

  ### 14. DocParser Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** R M. | Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

The ability to process is PDF documents is a huge use case for us. This is the most customizable, cost effective product for extracting information from PDFs on the market that I have found.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Handling the outputted data structures requires a bit of a learning curve. It takes a while to see and understand what is being output and how to handle. Documents that have table rows can be a bit tricky. Header level data is very easy to extract, but tables is a little challenging.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

If you want to be able to simply email a PDF document to extract its data and send on for further processing, this is the tool for you. Very point and click setup for parsing rules. You get to see the output before you save changes, which is extremely valuable and time-saving. You can get very creative and handle just about any PDF document. The ability to set up multiple mailboxes or to create rules based routing is so important. This allows you to keep things organized and simplified as much as possible.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this product mainly to process customer purchase orders. We parse the PDF documents based on customer specific rules, extract the data, format the JSON, and send a webhook to a Celigo listener, which maps the data into NetSuite as a Sales Order.

  ### 15. Great Software

Nothing has been found yet that I dislike.

We are parsing attachments from emails that we receive from vendors, and automating the importing of tracking numbers into our database.

  ### 16. It is an amazing time saver for us. Highly recommended!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pez E. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

It is able to read PDF documents with very good accuracy so it enables us to analyze supplier invoices.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

The setup can be a little complicated but once you review some videos and the documentation you should be able to do it.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

You may want to hire a Docparser programmer if you don't want to take the time to learn it yourself.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We get a ton of supplier invoices in PDF format for our online orders. Each invoice needs to be analyzed for accuracy. Docparser is an integral part of extracting key information from our supplier invoices.

  ### 17. An Excellent Tool for Document process automation and Data conversion

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raziq A. | AP Team Leader, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

DocParser is easy to use. You can convert your data efficiently and quickly.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

There is still room for improvement, such as using a smart OCR to read the data rather than "Templet Style".

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mostly use AP statements and convert them to Excel.

  ### 18. Easy PDF Text Extraction

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Farming | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Very easy to convert PDFs to text through the drag-and-drop template builder. I've parsed more than 1000 pages using this service - the best I've found from several options explored.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Challenging to set up a parser where not all the pages have the same layout

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using Docparser to digitise paper-based records into a database

  ### 19. Best solution for Time and Cost saving of PDF Copy & Past

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tatsuya N. | Business Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

This tool has various features. It is super fast for parsering hundreds of PDFs.
At the same time, it is super accurate in parsering rules.
Thus, Super cost saving tool. I had copied and pasted for a couple of days, but using this tool, It finished in just 15 minutes.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

It is very useful, so it cost depends on how many date you paser.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits are Cost & Time savings A LOT.
Let's think I had opened 300 PDFs and Copy and Paste with Over 700 items.
It was tough. It cost wage and time expense.
Yearly basis, it cost around 2500USD.
But now the same work costs almost 50%.

  ### 20. Great Tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex a. | M, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Easy way to collect data and process orders.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

setting up manual parses, but the templates cover most things

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Zapier!

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

working great for me. helped me build my database!

  ### 21. Excellent Product, Very User Friendly, Easily Scalable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Asher L. | Web Projects Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

I love how user friendly it is. The OCR is high quality, the parsing system is incredibly robust, but unlike other PDF data extraction companies with similar functionality Docparser is incredibly user friendly. Generally I can accomplish exactly what I want myself, and if I hit a wall I can get in touch with their top notch customer service team. They're very responsive and helpful.

The pricing structure is incredibly affordable and allows for easy incremental scaling, so as your need increases the price increases only just enough to meet your new need. There's no insane increases in pricing tiers.

Can't recommend Docparser highly enough.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

The only thing I'd like to see improve about Docparser is perhaps a more accurate OCR software. If say it works great 95 percent of the time, but it does hit a wall often enough to be a little annoying. They do have easy image preprocessing options, but it could do with a little improvement in that area. They also don't have the ability to manually correct the OCR engine to train it for the future, which would be nice.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's drastically reduced out AP, AR, and order processing workloads by automatically parsing incoming documents through a hot email and integrating with Sheets and Zapier, which allows us to just create a flat upload file for our ERP and process many types of transactions in bulk. What used to take hours now only takes minutes, at scale.

  ### 22. Solved a critical business problem; intuitive & easy to use; robust integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff E. | EOS Integrator; IT Director; Digital Marketing, Business Supplies and Equipment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Solved every variation of parsing sales orders that I threw at it

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Sometimes a little tricky to figure out the right method to use, but it's a learning curve like any other product

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Eliminated hours upon hours of manually reentering data from PDF files sent by customer

  ### 23. A Great Document Pasing Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Integration with Zapier and the ability to scan different documents to different email addresses.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Sometimes the scan quality can miss recording the data exactly as required.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used for recording movements of online orders. Automating processes through Docparser saves a large amount of staff hours.

  ### 24. Document parsing and extraction made simpler

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** dhiraj d. | Sr. RPA Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

1. Completely cloud based.
2. Zero software hosting cost and no installation required.
3. Easy to learn with to the point documentation and learning material available.
4. Processes and extracts the documents very quickly.
5. Low price per page compared to other OCR products in market.
6. Less complex which makes it simpler for all to use.
7. Multiple ways of integrating input and output of files like APIs, Cloud and google sheets integration.
8. Can do recharge instantly for adding more paid pages to your account.
9. Managed accounts feature with which you can manage multiple child accounts within your parent account.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Nothing much to dislike this solution but it would be great if automatic recharge and top-up of the pages would be done intelligently upon exhausting the available pages.
right now I need to know when to exactly recharge the pages in order to continue my processing seamlessly.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Use the preprocessing options available with docparser to clean your documents noise before parsing it. This is an amazing feature provided inbuilt by Docparser. :)

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. I receive a lot of invoices which I need to process and pass through the docparser to extract relevant data that is further entered in the SAP application.
2. I am able to manage multiple accounts under my account which helps me manage and administer all the accounts under one single umbrella.
3. I am able to use the features provided to fullest by having the files sent over to the docparser via email to unique docparser email inbound id and get the downloads in JSON format which is picked up by SAP BAPI to process inside SAP.
4. I am applying the preprocessing options to clean the document before sending it to the docparser for OCR.

  ### 25. Simplest cloud app for data extraction & OCR solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parthiban N. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

The best part about docparser is that it is completely cloud based and requires zero footprint from installation perspective which saves the hardware and hosting costs.
Multiple options provided to import the source documents for parsing and export the extracted csv/xlsx data enabling it for any third party integration in various formats supported.
Simplicity of docparser is unbeaten by all other competitors in the market.
Programming experience is not required and training on docparser is very simple and only a matter of couple of hours you will be able to build your document parsers.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

The only downside of docparser is the pricing model which definitely needs a improvisation. Auto-recharge on exhaustion of the purchased pages must be done and leftover pages must be roll forwarded to the next billing cycle.
Nested parsing rules make it complex for editing a parsing rule created by someone else.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Make a note of parsing rules and the sequence so that it is easier for someone else who tries to edit your parsing rule in future as adding more parsing rules make it complex.
Keep a note on the pages left before docparser just stops processing document as pages are exhausted.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is extremely helpful to use such cloud based solutions for OCR and data extraction since I can use it from any laptop or even my tablet device without requiring any software installation.
I am able to automate my order processing by integrating docparser with Automation Anywhere RPA tool to have the PDF orders read and the data is extracted in CSV form and read by the bot to process it further. The extraction of PDF to CSV is very quick.
Sometimes the PDF is scanned and thus of poor quality which poses a risk of failure of extraction or incorrect extraction in other OCR tools. Here, docparser has provided preprocessing capabilities that I apply even before parsing the document. e.g. Flatten & Re-write which re-writes the entire document by itself, Clean & Normalize- which cleans and provides better reading accuracy.
the parsed documents are retained for up to 120 days in the docparser cloud and hence it is helpful for our quarterly audit review.

  ### 26. Docparser exceeds my requirements for simple OCR solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pallavi D. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Has great features to fix issues in the documents before sending it to the OCR for extraction.
Ready to use templates available for many categories.
Easy setup mechanism for selecting particular areas using before-after and other techniques that are easy to understand and use.
Multiple ways for sending the data to Docparser and receiving the extracted output. This makes it a very useful tool as it can easily integrate with any application.
The world is moving towards cloud based solutions and this being completely cloud based makes it the best tool to go with.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

A slight change in any field in the source document can lead to complete change in the field setup in the parsing rules.
Parsing time increases with increases in the parsing rule.
Multiple parsing rules can be executed for different documents simultaneously but it shared the cloud bandwidth making all the parallel rules slower.
Pricing model and subscription due dates and pages left are difficult to maintain and handle.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Explore the documentation to learn about a lot of features available with Docparser for creating parsing rules to get your job done in less steps. Lesser the steps, the quicker the extraction is available.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have more than 50 documents processed each day with Docparser for the Invoices that are being received each day. Each invoice's data is extracted from the PDF by Docparser and the output csv generated is passed on further to the RPA tool for processing the Invoice in the SAP application.
Setup time is less and invoice formats do not change so there is no maintenance after initial setup. This leads me to quickly setup any new invoice without much issues.
I am able to drop pages before even sending the document for parsing so that only pages of interest can be sent to OCR thus reducing overall time for processing.
I am able to use APIs to check and query if the document is parsed and available for download.

  ### 27. Extremely simple to use & low cost data extraction solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhiraj D. | Senior Consultant / Product Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Extremely easy to understand and learn with the documentations provided.
Easy upload of documents and setup of key data elements for extraction.
Ready to use Templates are provided which can be used to extract all generic fields for the respective templates.
Options for skew/de-skew and other advanced options are available which is very rarely found in applications of such kind.
Talking about the USP of this product, it is completely cloud based and no installation of any application or software is required making it very easy to integrate with any kind of application.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

The pricing model for Docparser is very weird. The top-up done for xx number of pages will last for xx days. If there are any unused pages after xx days, the pages are not carry-forwarded. It is mandatory to top-up again immediately after expiry of previous package and no provision provided to auto-debit or auto-recharge. This makes it difficult to track and needs constant monitoring of the pages.
No options for custom coding is provided. The OCR behaves weird at times and extracts different results for the same file.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Great cloud based OCR solution to go with. Just keep track of the usage of number of pages and recharge immediately before expiry to avoid production downtime.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using this complete cloud based solution without having the need to install any software on the machines.
Easy to learn and train- Have trained 5 developers internally on this tool and they were comfortable using it only in 4-5 days of use.
Easy to integrate solution- Which means enabling new customer formats or invoice formats on this is relatively simple task and 15-20 formats can be configured by 1 user in a day which is excellent compared to other OCR data extraction tools in the market.
API based document upload and retrieval is a great feature provided by Docparser which avoid need to login to the portal.

  ### 28. Docparser is perfect for us

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2020

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

The ability to send documents with different layouts, and for docParser to identify which layout is in use in order to parse accordingly. This helped greatly when a client changed the layout of their standard document without telling us!

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

We had never used pdf parsing before and so there was a learning path - however we got all the help we needed. All support tickets were responded to in a timely manner. Often though we had already found the answer in the interim.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

don't expect it to do what you want immediately. It has a lot of very clever features, and as such you may need help from support to ensure you get what you want.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have hundreds of orders each day arrive by pdf. These orders need entering onto both CRM software and google spreadsheets. Each one used to take a user 10 minutes, now it is fully automated. The incoming emails are now forwarded to docParser, which performs the data extraction and pushes the results to an API we crafted in .NET
During testing we were concerned about parse speed - but this increases once you progress to a paid subscription.

  ### 29. Docparser has enabled a number of recurring human actions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** IT A. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Easy to use and to implement in your current software

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

You couldn't set up the account on testing mode, so as developer you could do some tests. But i contact the support and they ad manual some credits.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation, some processes were done by human actions.

  ### 30. Docparser is cheapest and best OCR solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dhiraj D. | Senior Application Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2019

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

1. Ease of use.
2. Setup time is minimum
3. Provides pre-built templates for invoices
4. Great options to select text to be extracted from documents.
5. Integrates with API
6. Support wide variety of options for sending an pdf for upload and receiving the extracted file downloaded.
7. Pricing

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

1. Not support or option for recognizing handwritten documents
2. Sometimes accuracy is less for scanned documents.
3. The documents count left must be carry forwarded to next cycle rather than expiring.
4. Auto-renewal option must be present so that once the documents are exhausted for a month, the plan renews automatically.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

1. Best and cheapest OCR solution available in the market.
2. Accuracy with text pdf files is the best,
3. High throughput
4. Faster processing.
5. Takes less time to process small docs
6. Has the ability to smartly split the documents based upon keywords which is found in very less OCR solutions.
7. Has the ability to merge docs.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. OCR solution
2. Invoice processing
3. Cheaper price per document
4. Great accuracy for text pdfs but accuracy with scanned pdf reduces a lot. Sometimes lines are read as characters.
5. Barcode scanning option is not available which would be a plus.
6. Sometimes processing gets slower if a lot of rules are applied.
7. Some customers hesitate to have this cloud solution. So I believe a on premise solution option would be a plus.

  ### 31. Docparser works hard for us, we love it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Works great, love the integration with Zapier which opens up so many more options for the parsed data.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Nothing much to dislike. Would be useful to have mail parser access as part of the docparser subscription so we could parse emails that don't have attachments.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Docparser to grab out key data from invoices and bills and drop that data into other software. The automation saves us time, speeds up our process and avoids manual data entry errors.

  ### 32. Great solution, more flexible than other options so great for problem solving

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard S. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

The flexibility and different parse options, other solutions were very limited in their setup and document type options.

Also the uploading and processing were incredibly fast, as well as being easy to use and setup as well as trouble shoot where needed.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Nothing comes to mind, all my needs were met

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Very useful, great product that brings flexibility to turning pdf docs into useful data

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a huge number of customer PO's in pdf format to convert to data for uploading to the accounting system. This saves me 20 hours per month so well worth it!

  ### 33. Amazing time saving software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matilda L. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

This software has allowed us to extract data from multiple report documents and put it in one easy to analyse spreadsheet. It has saved is weeks of time doing it manually and eliminated the risk of human error.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Nothing, I am very happy with the software at the moment.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Its the best data entry friend you will ever have!

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was surprised how easy the software was to use and how quickly it worked.

  ### 34. Docparser for Business Process Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul B. | Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Relatively easy to implement. The software is powerful and able to cope with most documents.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Does not implement OAuth 1.0 two factor authentication. We've implemented a fully automated system where customer orders are automatically forwarded to Docparser from our email server. Docparser then parses the pdf and forwards the data in JSON to an outward facing Suitelet in Netsuite. This Suitelet then does a Restful integration using OAuth 1.0 to a Netsuite Restlet. The Suitelet handles the required two factor authentication. The Restlet loads the order to Netsuite.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Look closely at the quality of the documents you intend to parse

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The reason we implemented Docparser was to reduce our manual order entry work load and to reduce errors which typically occur during manual entry. We've been able to reduce our sales order manual order entry work load by 50% which helps us cope with our peak order entry periods much better.

We've found that the work practices of our customers impact the the ability of the Docparsers to parse documents successfully. Some of our customers print and scan orders and send us scanned copies so the quality of the documents can vary. We have greater parsing success with customers who send orders generated by their business systems.

Overall we are very happy with Docparser. It was relatively simple to implement, helps us cope better with high order entry periods and times when staff are on leave.

  ### 35. Docparser for Pulling Data from Email PDFs to Google Sheets

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jarrett R. | Accounts Payable System Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Docparser seems very intuitive to use. Everything that I hoped to do, that I was scared I might not be able to do, I was able to figure out. There are so many different ways to use the layout features to pull data and having the information go directly into a Google Sheets file makes me look like a wizard. There are even more integrations that it can be used for, but this is the only one I use.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

I was having a strange issue, and reached out for help. It took a day or two to get a response and the person never really followed up. The problem went away (I think) but it's not the most impressive support I have received recently.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

I don't use it to pull line items (like for inventory) but they have that option.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't have to manually enter data from invoices anymore. It's saved me hours and hours of time. I'm also able to get the information in one place using the automation the Docparser provides.

  ### 36. Docparser has been perfect for me!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2020

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Easy of use, easy of integration with Zapier and image pre-processing tool.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

The document expiration after a period of time.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am optimizing work and time of my team.

  ### 37. Docparser is Great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roberio M. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

It[s very stable, does what no other of its kind does as I have tries many and it has integrations with popular plataforms which is also unique.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

There is really nothing I dislike at this moment, overall experience has been great!

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Just give it a try, you won't regret.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It scans my bills daily and puts it on a spreadsheet I check every morning.

  ### 38. Adds efficiency while increasing flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** peter b. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2018

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

The parsing is pretty much as flexible as you need it to be. So many parsing rules are available to tailor a parse to your exact need and result. dropbox and Google docs integration has been key for my business as well.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

One feature i would like is to be able to reorder you parsing rules. one process i do is parse multiple docs and then aggregate the info in a second parse, but the aggregation is not as flexible in terms of order of information, so being to move one parsing rule above or below another would be great.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Use the great support team and free trial period to develop your process and see the value they bring to your business.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My problem was one of manual data entry. Using Docparser has significantly cut down on the manual entry and automated probably 90% of the work for me.

  ### 39. reasonable OCR software on cloud

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

subscription cost is very reasonable
user interface is basically good
support team's response is very quick

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

parsing rule settings are a little tricky
one time parsing queue stuck
no additional function is expected

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

very useful OCR/data parsing system

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

company's invoice manual process is to be automated by Docparser

  ### 40. I am so glad there is a solution that does what Docparser can do.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

We need to manage thousands of PDF invoices and were typing up the details manually. We found Docparser and it has been a amazing. We created parsing rules that allowed us to take very fragmented data and get it into an orderly format that can be pulled into excel. There are multiple PDF formats and all could be pulled in with Docparser through their flexible tools. We are converting about 3500 invoices per month but expect this to grow significantly in the future. This tool is giving us a simple way to grow our business because it is automating tasks that used to take hours. The best part is our previous process was prone to errors which this eliminates.

In my searching for solutions, I did not find anything else that would do what Docparser does that would be simple, cloud based and affordable.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

It tool a bit of time to set up the templates but that does not seem out of the ordinary for how varied the PDF's were that we work with.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing us to convert PDF invoices to excel in a standardized format. This has saved countless hours per month and provided for increased accuracy.

  ### 41. No recommendation for swedish users

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rickard U. | Chairman, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

+ the pricing policy
+ the price (yea they are different things)
+ the configuration possibilities

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

- the lack of support for different languages in this case swedish and local swedish data.
- the lack of response from the support even though they ask one to email them with questions.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Control if your langue and local business usage is supported, if not, I would not recommend it (at the moment)

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

(Hoping) of removing Centsoft and implementing a more flexible flow for our invoices and get more data from the invoices. Not just total, vat etc. but more of usage. Also hoping to automatise more of the flow behind.

  ### 42. Excellent support makes all the difference

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Furniture | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

It's a tricky thing pulling info from a doc into a spreadsheet. I tried making a purchased tool do this but I got no support on how to make it work. Docparser's support team was excellent. they helped me tweek till I got the results I needed. next job I should be able to setup myself. The tool does what it claims well. But the support really made the difference.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

UI could have more tips to avoid having to ask support.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

extracting address information from returns to edit our mailing list

  ### 43. Efficiency at it's best! So much time and money saved.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott K. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2018

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

The ease of use and accuracy of the parsed results is fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Nothing. The customer support team was super helpful.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

If you need to automate it works great with Zapier. The setup is easy and the information output is accurate.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automating the input of sales leads received by PDF attached to email to extract accurate information from the PDF and ultimately have it end up in my Salesforce.
The ease of setting up a new document is fantastic. The biggest issue I've had in the past with other services is that it is rarely consistent with the accuracy when parsing the information. I use it to pull information from sales leads that come in by email with a PDF attachment that contains the lead information. My process in the past was to have to manually type the info into a spreadsheet or into my Salesforce account directly; which is very time consuming for my clerical staff.
I've automated this process by having the email automatically forwarded to my Zapier account, then they Zap it to Docparser. Docparser then works their magic and sends it back to Zapier that takes the accurate information and uploads it to my Salesforce and starts the lead followup campaign and notifies me that there is a new lead to contact.
I tried other services in the past, but if there was any variation in the information on the PDF (even one extra space) the information was not accurately parsed. I've set Docparser up and have run 100s of leads through it with 100% accuracy and no need to tweak anything. It is worth every penny and has saved me an absurd amount of time and money spent on paying my staff to manually input the information; not to mention, it allows me to get back to the potential client in a matter of a couple minutes from the initial inquiry time.
Thank you Docparser!

PS - The Customer Support department rocks too. They were very helpful!

  ### 44. I am very satisfied with this product, and would highly recommend it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

I like the flexibility of being to apply rules to standard documents
But also then to bend those rules for the exceptions
Applying parsing rules also helps a lot in organising the data with extraction - and this has saved me countless hours already in the short while using this service

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Initially it feels a bit confusing, mostly due to unfamiliar terms used. But I quickly got the hang of it.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing manual input into our accounting systems from bank statements

  ### 45. Save times and effort when capturing inventory data from orders

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marta A. | Small Business Owner, Retail, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

I like being able to have multiple document templates as each vendor tends to have their own "take" on what is useful to include in an invoice or order and formatting can vary a great deal.

Therefore, my templates are not based on vendor name - they are based on the data found in the invoices. Example file names: "line-qty-units-isbn13-desc-discount-level-ext-dollar" or "line-qty-desc-unit-ext-float"

Vendors aren't always consistent from invoice to invoice. They may be using software that resizes table columns to fit the text, which means you have to adjust your table format slightly each time to ensure the parsing is correct. That's easy to do.

The forums and Q&A resources are usually helpful and I've found them responsive to email.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

1. The UI for making changes to the template. I hate the popup box routine at the end of making a change. It takes a lot of mouse clicks.

2. I've never gotten the subtemplates to work. (see note above about vendor formats being inconsistent.) Subtemplates "supposedly" to help with minor variations. Maybe this works for other applications as itis a great idea.
3. There are a lot of little tweaks to be made that aren't obvious to improve character recognition. Why not start with the highest level of quality (ie. turn on OCR) at the start? If that makes file size a problem for storage or performance when processing a lot of files at once, walk people through how to "downgrade" to an acceptable level or establish a recommended number of files not to exceed some size limit. For example, during a trial scan there were no extra spaces or funky characters in the document but then I figured out about half of the "6s" had been transformed to "8s" - not terribly helpful. I want to be able to trust the result rather than having to proof hundreds of line items.

4. Given the inconsistencies I have with the input data sources, I don't think I'll be able to automate the parsing tasks - such as grabbing attachments from email automatically. Again, I have a small business, so I'm OK with the workaround.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

take advantage of the trial period!! It really helps.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the software to scan pdf invoices & orders for a retail gift store and create inventory lists. This makes it much easier to update my POS system.

  ### 46. The best tool to help you extract your PDF data into a Excel format document

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Hardware | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2018

**What do you like best about Docparser?**

Easily and customize the PDF data extract into Excel format. I am able to customize the line, columns etc, which allows me to fully extract my PDF data into Excel format.

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

Web based - Would be better if it was a stand alone program. As if your internet is down you would not be able to login to access the software.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Ease of usage

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had a hard time copying and pasting the data from PDF, as if you would copy and paste it would not copy the correct information onto a word or excel doc. Even if you were to extract the data using Adobe. I previously would have to manually enter our invoices into our accounting software, this was solved when I found out about Docparser and the ability it had to allow me to convert a PDF document and fully extract the data into Excel without any formatting issues.

  ### 47. Brilliant, time-saving software

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about Docparser?**

We've found a couple of small bugs, but overall the software is fantastic.

**Recommendations to others considering Docparser:**

Solid system - give it a try.

**What problems is Docparser solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having to open, read and action 10+ documents per day from one of our big clients. Now, Docparser reads the docs for us and sends the info where it needs to be, via Zapier.
