The team at Dockwa is very attentive to putting out the best product and always evolving the software and adding new components to it. They have always followed up to check on new functionality and listen/implement specific product enhancement ideas. **What do you dislike about Dockwa?** The reminders can be a bit much for our dockmaster at times but it is understandable as Dockwa is trying to provide a responsive customer experience. **Recommendations to others considering Dockwa:** Dockwa has streamlined so many areas of our business. From transient reservations to assignments and contracts the software and team have been super helpful! **What problems is Dockwa solving and how is that benefiting you?** The old transient reservation process was super manual and cumbersome, made much more efficient with Dockwa. By requiring all reservations to be made online it created one simple easy queue for all our reservations. This was compared to the manual process of someone different fielding a phone each time and how that would be interpreted. Being able to see all the reservations in one place also allowed us to maximize the number of reservations we were taking without overbooking. The assignments tool became a key addition for us as we map out the seasonal and transient reservations. Taking on all our seasonal winter storage and dockage contracts was the latest evolution for us and was extremely successful. The contracts tool streamlined a very confusing and time-consuming mail merge process and provided a better experience for the customer. By allowing both online payments or the more traditional form gives our customers payment options and reconciles easily for our accounting team. The custom reporting that can be done is also very robust. ### 3. Dockwa gives us the ability to attract and process reservations year round, even when our office is really closed. We also love the seamless processing of payments and flexible reporting. Since we started with Dockwa about 6 years ago, we have been able to reach a much broader market. Our biggest problem now is not having enough slips to rent! I should also mention that the Dockwa team is super responsive to requests for assistance. Some of our dock masters are not very tech savvy but they were always able to get help with just a phone call or e-mail. **What do you dislike about Dockwa?** Some of the reports have too many fields, it would be nice to be able to opt out of certain fields to make the reports easier to work with. My only other gripe with Dockwa is that setting rates requires us to submit a rate sheet to their staff who then have to input the data rather than giving us the ability to edit the rates ourselves. **What problems is Dockwa solving and how is that benefiting you?** We work with a very small seasonal staff but with Dockwa our "office" is always open. It has reduced the burden of responding to a multitude of voice and e-mails and avoid angry clients complaining that we take too long to respond. Also we love the fact that payments are now automated and our dockmasters can concentrate on service rather than collections. ### 4. I can't even begin to explain how helpful their tech guys have been, and how over the top they've been in excellent customer service. It has made our transient business so popular that we went from having 50 percent capacity filled to a long waiting list for weeks on end for avail slips. Can't think of anything they should change and just have had the best experiences with everyone at Dockwa on every level. **What do you dislike about Dockwa?** nothing to say about disliking anything at all. **Recommendations to others considering Dockwa:** highly recommend **What problems is Dockwa solving and how is that benefiting you?** The ease of bookings from people without having to even field a phone call. They people have seen the reviews on marinas.com and just sign up. It's been an incredible boost in transient revenue and helped to really put us on the map. ### 5. The team has expanded and grown over the years based on their experience, industry knowledge and hard work to make a very successful product that was overdue for the industry. **What problems is Dockwa solving and how is that benefiting you?** Simplification within the boating industry is key both for boaters maximizing their time on the water and managers with limited time during the key boating season, Dockwa helps make this happen ### 6. This should be made to a minimum of a week in the offseason. We all are not in warm climates all year. **Recommendations to others considering Dockwa:** For boaters using Dockwa, it seems great. For a marina using dockwa, we would like to feel more that Dockwa is concerned about our interests as much as the boaters experience. It seems dockwa customer assistance really centers around the boater, and it sometimes feels that Dockwa does not work for the marinas from who they receive their commission. **What problems is Dockwa solving and how is that benefiting you?** Streamlines reservations by having customer install all their specific details about their own vessels. ### 7. I absolutely love this software!! It is very simple and efficient. It's easy to use at work and on the weekend if you are boating with your friends or family. **What do you dislike about Dockwa?** I dislike that it is not available in more arenas. Not being able to select the dock slip you want is annoying. **Recommendations to others considering Dockwa:** There is no other product out there that can live up to Dockwa. Try it and see for yourself. **What problems is Dockwa solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'mI will be honest that it is more useful in a personal setting on the weekend when we use to go out with the bosses fishing.
