Despite raising these challenges to the team on numerous occassions, we have never received the technical support to help us determine root cause. And the issues continue. We are expected to discover, troubleshoot, and implement solutions on our own - which is not what we expected when signing a three yer contract. **What problems is Docebo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Docebo has not been particularly helpful in solving our problems. ### 2. Frustrating Platform to Use **Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Amy D. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2023 **What do you like best about Docebo?** There are many capabilities if you know what you are doing **What do you dislike about Docebo?** -The platform is extremely difficult to use are a new user, NOT at all user friendly - The platform seems to be created by developers with zero insight from a L&D professional, so some things that would make sense for a learner are not offered. So implementing new things/initiatives is painfully difficulty at times. - The enterprise dashboard is useless, it provides no useful information - reporting is very annoying and if you ever want useable metrics you have to pay and we pay a lot already - We have come across a few features (gamification, playlists, etc) that seem half baked, Docebo like to advertise these great things but in reality they don't work or have serious limitations. - zero proactive communication when things aren't working, our site has been down, reports haven't worked and no one has communicated what the problem is. We have always had to reach out - There seems to be a million steps that are required for any given thing on the platform, from course set up to channel management, and heaven forbid you want to set up a new landing page. If you miss one little step along the way it wont work or will cause issues in the future. It shouldn't be so difficult!! - We also had absolutely terrible customer support for months. We had to escalate and get legal involved it was so bad **What problems is Docebo solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to put courses up and have new staff go through onboarding ### 3. I have a lot of opportunity to create lots of different pages using their awesome widget system. - The level of innovation they are bringing to the LMS space is nothing short of amazing, and the speed that they make updates to their platform is incredible. In the short 3 years I've used the platform, I've seen multiple systems improved drastically. If you want a system that is future proof, this is the one you want to use. - My customer success managers have always been very friendly, and my new one seems even more responsive than my last. - The improvements they've made to support, especially the implementation of the chat system, has been a huge improvement to the help desk. It's nice to have someone to chat with should issues arise in the platform, especially if I'm out of the office. - Extended enterprise allows you to provide completely different experiences based on your needs. **What do you dislike about Docebo?** - I feel like they nickel and dime you a bit, separating their platform into different buckets and charging you more for everything they can. I understand they are a business, and they need to support new innovations, but sometimes it's a bit over the top. Especially when putting this much effort into new systems rather than fixing your old ones. If the LMS was in a more finalized state, rather than having half of the back end still existing on legacy pages, I may be more accepting of this. - Ability to control visibility of courses doesn't exist in the courses itself, and must be managed by course catalogs. - Ability to control widget or page visibility doesn't exist, with only the menu system (which houses the pages, pages house the widgets) allows you to control visibility. - The entire system is very much built around their antiquated enrollment system. It seems they've made some improvements. - Their customer ideas portal is not great unless you have a need that hundreds of other people have, and those people end up seeing your idea and voting for it, which is very unlikely to happen unless they take the time to go to the ideas page, and browse. - No access to back end programming, and limited access to any white glove service means that when you have an issue with the platform, you either cannot fix it, or have to hope that you can pay Docebo to make the improvement you need. **What problems is Docebo solving and how is that benefiting you?** - We provide training for our customers as our main focus, both in terms of sales and service. Simply having an update to date learning system, coming from our home grown LMS, gives us more clout. - We focus on enabling technicians to work on our equipment effectively and efficiently, to minimize calls to our tech call center and warranty claims. - We also utilize ecommerce to sell training to different audiences. This assists us to recoup our costs. ### 4. Fundamental Functionality of Core Platform Isn't There **Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2021 **What do you like best about Docebo?** The tech support Docebo offers, particularly by chat, is phenomenal. The response time is excellent and their ability to view what is in your platform with specific examples to help solution is very beneficial. Most of my questions are answered without ever moving on to tier 2 support or submitting a formal ticket. **What do you dislike about Docebo?** The core lms platform is missing key features. Things like archiving courses or moving them into a maintenance mode that isn't visible to users aren't available. Notifications cannot be tested (you have to wait for their conditions to be met to see what the live notification looks like). Courses within learning plans cannot be organized into sections or topics, nor can learning plans be nested. There's no way to preserve history for multiple completions. There's not a function for a proctor code for exams. These are all functions that not only would I expect in an enterprise solution, but they are also functions that are available from Docebo's competitors. When bringing many of these features/needs up either in the suggestion portal or in the community, they are largely dismissed or ignored all together. **What problems is Docebo solving and how is that benefiting you?** Docebo is great for sharing learning with both internal and external users. It allows us to share content easily across user groups while maintaining separate reporting through the user branch structure. The capabilities around custom layouts, gamification, sharing badges on LinkedIn, etc are nice added benefits. **Official Response from Rob Ayre:** > Hi, thanks for taking the time to review our platform. Coach and Share is the biggest selling point of the platform. It is what is keeping us with Docebo right now. **What do you dislike about Docebo?** Since the company went public, the support has gone in the toilet. For the easy questions, the team is quick to answer. For the more difficult questions, it takes an act of God to get them to respond. Each client is assigned a Customer Experience Manager who is suppose to be our champion inside the company. Our first one was with us through most of our first year and he was great. We have had three since then. The only way we have been even been able to get a response to emails was to go to a vice-president. The company is working on improving the platform but many of the improvement don't seem to have had input from the user base. Docebo calls them upgrades. They are just changes. **Recommendations to others considering Docebo:** It is a good tool but the company is in too much flux right now to recommend. **What problems is Docebo solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have nearly 800 employees in 20+ US states. Our LMS helps us in delivering and tracking training. ### 6. It's also impossible to get anyone at Docebo to help. Their customer service is horrible. **Recommendations to others considering Docebo:** Pick a different LMS for internal training. **What problems is Docebo solving and how is that benefiting you?** They were solving internal training needs.
