The tools are intuitive and easy to use. I love the Divi library functionality and that you can designate items as library items that can be used as a template, but that you can designate global items as well. Change the item in the library, and it's instantly changed everywhere. Don't let the name fool you. It's completely customizable. I don't think of it as themes at all -- everything I do is custom. The support is beyond fantastic. I make use of the community posts a lot and frequently find my answers there, but when I have a unique problem and I can't find an answer in the community, the ET support folks are more than happy to help. Simply a great team of people. **What do you dislike about Divi?** I honestly can't think of much. I'm not fond of the default "jump" in the logo in the header, I suppose. It can be difficult to get that stable. But I haven't upgraded to D4.0 yet, and apparently there are big changes to the header in that. For all know that's super easy to change now. **Recommendations to others considering Divi:** If the reviews haven't convinced you, you can sign up for a month for less than $100. But be sure to give it a workout before you make your decision. I've worked with competitive products because sites I'm redesigning are often built with other builder tools. Elegant Themes is hands down the easiest to use, most flexible and most "elegant" solution I've seen. I recommend the lifetime option. I invested in them fairly early, and I've never regretted a penny. **What problems is Divi solving and how is that benefiting you?** I can build sites very fast now. The websites come out professional. **What do you dislike about Divi?** I would like the Extra theme section in the widgets to be more customizable, as well as the headers in the posts (of categories) and above all, the Header does not allow any widgets or buttons and the footer does not allow buttons either. Other than that, perfect. The Monarh plugin is very little configurable. I am specifically familiar with Divi because I had a client that had already been set up with Divi by another web designer, but it needed a lot of work. I was able to get in and vastly improve on the design. The nice thing about Divi/Elegant Themes is that if you are willing to pay the lifetime fee for the theme package, you are all set. I, personally, do not care for annual payments to theme creators, so paying upfront for all future updates is a huge advantage in my eyes. I currently use a different theme for my clients when I am starting them on a fresh design, but if I didn't have that I would definitely choose Elegant Themes. **What do you dislike about Divi?** Divi can be weird when resizing images and other very specific requirements. It takes time to know how to properly resize images, text boxes, etc because it can be done from both the Element selection and the Row selection. Specifically, in the site I was creating for my client, she only wanted an image with no text but I had to put it in as a background image and that created a weird situation that would cut off the bottom of the image because it didn't have any text. It took me a really long time to realize I just had to create an empty paragraph to hold the verticle space. And even still today, that seems like a weak workaround for just being able to create a situation where the background image holds the space it needs to. There were other issues similar to this one that would take a couple of hours to figure out and it really slowed down the design at times. **Recommendations to others considering Divi:** Check out both Elegant Themes and Divi and see which one you enjoy building with. **What problems is Divi solving and how is that benefiting you?** Once you buy the lifetime membership and once you learn the quirks of the builder, you are good to go to create beautiful sites really quickly. ### 35.
