In the process of downgrading my windows from 11 back to 10 I accidently deleted my folder containing my photos. I did not format or wipe the drive just deleted the folder with a bunch I no longer needed. Not realizing it until I emptied the recycle bin. I freaked out and started searching for recovery programs and at the top of the list was Disk Drill. They say you can download the free version and try it out. That is a bunch of crap. It recovered every icon and every graphic from every program that had been installed on my computer from the first day I turned it on. 86K in pictures alone. when I tried to narrow it to .jpg only, I still had over 36K which went over the 500Mb limit to use the "FREE" version. Thinking that it had recovered something of use to help me get my pictures back I paid the ridiculous fee of $89. I even continued the search to get more results as directed by the program. What did I recover for $89? Two of my pictures and over 100K (just .jpg) files of useless icons, and graphics used in everything windows to Corel draw. Nothing of the more the 16Gb of photos that had literally be deleted hours before. When I contacted Disk Drill they literally told me there are no refunds and they don’t care that their program did NOTHING. If they truly believed in it and stood behind it there would be some form of guarantee; not with this bunch of SCAMMERS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
