I've already recommended it to colleagues and clients. **What do you dislike about Discuss?** The discussion guide is helpful, but I wish you could move windows around so you don't have to look to the right of the screen to review the discussion guide. Building a discussion guide isn't as easy as it should be. I know the app has to protect against feedback, but we got some anyway from one of the participants. It didn't last long and wasn't that objectionable. I wanted to compare my level and intelligibility during the session because I could have improved my part, if necessary. **What problems is Discuss solving and how is that benefiting you?** The session was a version of product research, I'll call it company communication research. It is a pleasure working with them. This applies to our account managers and the technical team. 2/ The platform itself has the necessary features and is intuitive to use. It is the perfect tool for connecting colleagues with consumers in a fast and easy way. All tools that you would expect (e.g. screen sharing, whiteboard functionalities, recording and editing, bookmarking, notes... and a lot more) are there and Discuss develops as well emotion detection and other functionalities. 3/ Customer feedback is taken seriously. In all honesty, I did not free sufficient time to help them out but they do invite their customers to brainstorm on new possible features that need to be developed or to test things they want to implement soon. That is the right mindset. **What do you dislike about Discuss?** Overall, we are very happy. There are always things that need to be improved: - Technical support is not available in native Dutch. As for participants the tool is most of the time something they haven't seen, English support (if needed) can be difficult. - We use more cost-efficient recruitment **What problems is Discuss solving and how is that benefiting you?** Within a large organization, the demand for research exceeds the capacity we have. This was our first time using Discuss.io. and we were all impressed with how smooth the end-to-end process was. From putting in a quote, receiving a response from a member of the team (within 24 hours), getting dates and times locked in, having the introductory and training sessions with the Discuss.io team, just overall great technical support -- including live support provided throughout the workshop sessions. Not forgetting to mention the option of having human transcripts as well! Sometimes our clients are keen to sit in on the interviews and give real-time feedback, Discuss.io has a feature that allows them to watch interviews and engage in the chat without the interviewee ever they're around. I don't use anything else unless I need to because we have an in-person research component. The site is easy to use, the project coordinators are friendly and knowledgeable, and I appreciate that they offer the MobileUX option and AI-generated transcripts. I've personally used Discuss for research in the US, Canada, and Germany, and everything always works very well. **What do you dislike about Discuss?** There aren't many, especially when I compare Discuss to other live research platform options. I wish they had more local language tech support for research conducted outside the US. That would go a long way toward getting more researchers onboard to utilize this platform instead of platforms that they've been using for several years. It would also be nice to have an in-person research option with Discuss now that it's getting safer to conduct in-person focus groups and interviews again. **What problems is Discuss solving and how is that benefiting you?** From a project manager perspective, Discuss is great because I can start a project with very little lead time when needed and I can easily estimate costs through the DIY quote system. The project coordinators at Discuss are always willing to answer our recruiters' questions and alert them of any tech issues research participants might have had during their tech checks. It removes one more thing off my plate, making sure these tech checks are being completed, which is so helpful during my busy days. ### 20. We have just finished the groups and are looking forward to using other reporting tools. ALSO - included in the fee is 3 years of storage of all the videos. We pay so much for our ever-expanding cloud storage needs so this is a great benefit. We also like that they are constantly listening to feedback and updating and improving features. **What do you dislike about Discuss?** It is a little trickier for respondents than a simple Zoom or teams call. We paid for and needed a tech person to help check in and set up each group of respondents. The default time is Pacific so until respondents complete a semi-optional tech check invites and other communications are in Pacific time (our respondents were all in EST for this project). **What problems is Discuss solving and how is that benefiting you?** Over the last 2 years, we have tried a variety of methods to move our focus groups online (incl platforms from some of the big recruiting companies). Discuss.IO blows all other options out of the water with the way the Observers are set up. Any extra money spent for me comes out of my pocket. Discuss is worth it, especially if you have a "high needs" client, super quick report turnarounds, video clip procurement/montages. Worth it. Once you've used it a few times and feel comfortable, you can take on more responsibility with adding/managing respondents that will reduce the cost. WIN! I actually came under budget on my last project! The transcripted recordings with highlighted text to create video clips is a game-changer. This is the must-have online platform if those are needed for reporting.
