I like the user Interface, customizable tagging options, and that making productions is a breeze. Ingesting native or load-file documents on your own is also very easy, and the improvements to word clustering and visualization have added value to the product. Early case assessment has been added, which is also an improvement over prior versions. **What do you dislike about DISCO Platform?** The cost is sort of high for certain clients to withstand, and the 30-day cancellation period is less than ideal, but I understand the company is willing to work with special pricing on a case-by-case basis upon discussion. It would also be nice to have the ability for individual users to highlight search terms globally across documents they are reviewing, but just show the highlighted terms to the individual user, not all users. **Recommendations to others considering DISCO Platform:** It's a good choice. **What problems is DISCO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Document collection, production, and review; hot doc identification; and exhibit tracking. It takes less time to accomplish all of these tasks with Disco. De-duplication and threading allows us to review fewer documents, and we get to the relevant emails quickly when we leverage AI predictions and word clustering. ### 5. Two of my favorite DISCO features are the exhibit sets and the timelines. With the exhibit sets, you can build your exhibit sets for depositions, arbitration, trial, etc. This tool allows you to order your exhibits as you would like them presented and generates an index along with the exhibits themselves, making exhibit lists quick and easy. Timelines allow you to create case timelines and link directly to supporting documents in the eDiscovery database, allowing a case team real time access to important facts and events. Another thing that really stands out with DISCO is their continuous development of new features and tools. Client feedback and feature suggestions are taken very seriously and drive platform development. DISCO involves its users in the development, testing and roll out of new features. **What do you dislike about DISCO Platform?** There are sometimes inaccuracies with billing so each invoice should be reviewed prior to approval for payment. Additionally communication between the billing department and the client could be improved upon. I do think that DISCO is working on this by assigning clients a Client Success Manager who can serve as a bridge and assist clients with resolving any issues. DISCO is also one of the more expensive eDiscovery vendors on the market, but the offerings are so robust, that it is worth the cost in my opinion. **What problems is DISCO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** DISCO is streamling our document reivew through the use of targeted searches and AI. DISCO is also streamlining the annotation of depositions through the use of Case Builder, allowing us to tag, annotate and create video clips for use at trial without the need of multiple different tools. ### 6. DISCO is a lifesaver, and it keeps getting better. Standard document review is effortless, and individual users-- if authorized- are able to easily create their own systems for organization/annotation. Reports are simple to compile. Exhibit sets are a breeze. Productions and production templates are also very user-friendly. The customer support is attentive, collaborative, and knowledgeable. **What do you dislike about DISCO Platform?** DISCO is not cheap, which makes it difficult for our contingency-based practice. That is all I can say- my prior dislikes have, over the years, been well-addressed by the various improvements to the platform, and it now meets or exceeds our expectations across the board. **What problems is DISCO Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** There is no way that a practice with 2 attorneys, one paralegal, 3 assistants and assorted co-counsel from other firms would be able to effectively review, analyse, and produce databases of over 1 million documents without a tool like DISCO. ### 7. It is very intuitive and easy to use. No special plug-ins are required, work from the office, home hotel or anywhere you have access to the internet. Use a PC, Laptop, Mac or I-Pad. Use Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Opera, or Microsoft Edge to access. Included in the flat fee pricing on a case-by-case basis is ingestion and productions which can be accomplished by the attorney. It accelerates document review, allowing the user to find evidence quickly. Disco AI predicts the likelyhood that a given document should or should no be assigned a tag based on how documents with similar characteristics have been tagged. DISCO's AI uses a systematic approach to ongoing machine learning, which means that its predictions are continuously updated as more documents are tagged. Disco scales very well to any size matter. The exhibits feature allows you to prepare for Summary Judgements, Depositions and Trial. Clients also benefit from the predictable pricing structure based on ingested volume. **What do you dislike about DISCO Platform?** We've encountered challenges when clients have required custom workflows in their databases. For example, many emerging data types can only be processed by DISCO's professional services team. While they are excellent to work with, it is an added cost to the client which can in turn make DISCO less appealing when compared to the competition, especially if the client is cost-conscious. Relativity places so many limits on the user, making you dependent on a project manager. With Disco, you can do everything, including allowing your clients access. They have all the same services as Relativity and more. Plus it's significantly cheaper in cost and most importantly, time. Even after having our own system on-site, I find Disco's ingestion & production much faster. Training options are very versatile: live & web-based. For support, they have both webchat and phone options -- both of with are quick to get started and the support people are savvy. I am comfortable telling firm users to contact support directly with questions or problems. **What do you dislike about DISCO Platform?** There are some less common file types that disco doesn't handle natively. I've found ways to convert those file types before ingesting them to save time & money. There are a lot of options in disco. It pays to go through the processes to understand which options must be chosen. If data is ingested incorrectly, often the quickest way to fix it is to delete the ingest job and re-ingest. THe learning curve was a cinch, and the "Search Builder" tools make it easy. In a 2-3 minute search, I am able to locate/download/print any document sought. Additionally, the ability to create review stages and allow our experts direct access to the documents, frees up space on our servers, and allows our experts to enter their own notes. Access to "help" tools and personnel is unparalled and I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to have my question(s) answered. There are so many features I could go on and on about i.e., overlays, tagging, and foldering, in DISCO but there's not enough room or time for me to do it. Oh! May I mention how quickly and seamlessly exhibit lists and privilege logs can be created just by running document reports and making the edits in Excel. In short?
