What do you like best about DirectAdmin?

Direct admin panel helps us resell website hosting to clients, storing data in the Mysql admin database. What do you like best about DirectAdmin?

The best thing about Direct Admin is the whole lot of extra settings you can do regarding out of office on your imap or pop3 mailbox. Next to that you can create template customers regarding the size of the hosting package. Ideal to setup multiple products on one platform.

Further more the tech is quite basic, we can let junior admins manage the DNS, mailboxes, websites etc. There is no senior admin needed to do all the administrative tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DirectAdmin?

There is noting to dislike on direct admin. If I have to name one its the dash you might forget to tick if you employ your own on premise exchange server but host your site and contact form on direct admin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering DirectAdmin:

DirectAdmin is one of the, if not the go to website hosting control panel. The only other contender in my point of view is ISPconfig, but that has a bit more hassle to setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is DirectAdmin solving and how is that benefiting you?

If we need a quick mailserver to get mail on a certain domain, direct admin is the easiest way to get the job done. But we also implement sites and email for smaller clients who think a Microsoft Exchange Online plan 1 mailbox is too expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DirectAdmin?

I have worked on the Directadmin console for more than 3 years and I love everything about it. It is so clean and user-friendly even for people who are not from a SysAdmin background. What do you like best about DirectAdmin?

Everything, because it does everything well that a web hosting control panel should do. All the basic and advanced features are present, which helps hosting companies to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DirectAdmin?

There's not much to dislike. But there are few important things that it does not have, probably because lot of people has moved from cPanel, so some features such as CloudFlare Integration is not present in DirectAdmin, which makes lot of things to be done manually. They have a perfect support team, which deserves to be supported. They are not greedy like cPanel, and they care about their customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We can finally get rid of cPanel. They are so annoying with price hikes every single year up to 700% which is crazy. No company would want to spend more on software than hardware. * Competitive pricing when compared with others in the market

* Simple and clean UI, not too boring, not too flashy

* Sticks to the base OS configs more

* Easy migration and backup/restores

* Lack of plugins / add-ons unlike others in the market

Recommendations to others considering DirectAdmin:

If you are looking at a clean UI with stability and is not much worried about the fancy colors or so, you can go ahead with DA. Surely it does not have much plugins or add ons as other control panels have, but considering they are much costly than what DA is, i would surely recommend you to go with DA.
