What do you like best?

When it comes to search engine optimization, since there is really no "product," you are only as good as the people behind the company. I worked with Stephanie and a dude named Jonathan. They went beyond the call of duty and kept me well informed along the way as to what they were doing. What do you dislike?

The only negative was that they weren't willing to lower the price much and I am a strong negotiator. But, in the end, I got the appropriate value and more so I can't complain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the provider? What benefits have you realized?

What do you like best?

I was most impressed with the way they listened and truly spent time understanding our business on the front end, and then worked with us on a weekly basis to make progress toward the goals we set. I've worked with at least 3 agencies prior to DOM, and been extremely frustrated in the past. DOM is by far the best. What do you dislike?

I really enjoyed working with DOM, and have nothing negative to say. The only thing I should note is clients should know is these types of partnerships take time to yield "fruit". Everyone at DOM is extremely to work with, friendly, and passionate about what they do! They are very responsive and never let anything fall through the cracks. Their strategies are carefully designed based on years of experience, but, for us, the real value in their approach lies in their ability to adapt. The internet is constantly evolving, and an effective marketing strategy must be flexible enough to evolve with it. DOM meets regularly with us and our clients to review and refine the strategy, throwing out what doesn't work, keeping what does, and developing new ideas and strategies along the way. I have had the opportunity to connect with Justin Seibert, the President of Direct Online Marketing, multiple times over the last several years. In each interaction I have been struck by 3 things:

- Justin has a straightforward and honest approach that is refreshing

- Justin and the DOM team know what they are talking about in all manners related to search (paid and organic)

- I invariably learn something new from our conversations

I have a very small digital marketing company myself, and take my professional reputation and my work seriously. There are not a lot of other digital marketing groups that I'd be consistently comfortable recommending, but the Direct Online Marketing team is definitely one of them. There really aren't shortcuts in terms of sustainable marketing approaches that get results and continue to drive growth over time. Jonathan Bentz with DOM assisted us with a variety of SEO related issues. We transitioned from an in-house eCommerce solution to an outsourced eCommerce platform. First and foremost was correcting our 404 errors and any other 500 level errors or 300/302 redirect corrections needed. Once those were under control, we then tackled back linking, product names and descriptions which were too long, too short or duplicates, keyword rankings, meta descriptions, load speeds, site map issues, correcting any link issues, images issues and a number of other infractions discovered in our audit. In addition to being fully competent across all digital disciplines, they treated my business as if it were their own...with deep engagement and an unwavering commitment to owning the results. A strength of DOM is their reporting and data visualization tools. Using these, they are able to make and test optimization recommendations and tweaks to campaigns, keywords, etc. Ryan does a stellar job of researching new questions, ideas and techniques during our weekly meetings. I enjoy challenging an idea and together we develop an even better approach. When ever I assign a new task or research topic, I am confident it will be followed through on. The DOM team is extremely knowledgable and friendly, and so very responsive. They're interested in helping you discover and push what works best and aren't about nickel-and-diming their clients. No question seems too small nor too big when asking their advice on how best to proceed, and they're always willing to reach out to additional resources or contacts to research anything they aren't able to answer immediately. Their response time is very good, and they make themselves available when needed, in addition to regularly scheduled meetings/calls. And, their pricing is very client friendly; I wouldn't be able to hire a team to do the same amount of work and manage the same amount of marketing initiatives as DOM does at their current rate. The fact that we have to share them with other clients! lol. ... But honestly, even that brings benefits, as they consider strategies that have seen success with other clients and look for opportunities to apply the same strategies to our account. If I could ask for one thing, it would be to integrate our account managers into our internal instant messaging system so that we could fire quick questions and get quicker answers than is reasonable through email. And, through all of these efforts, we've been able to drive more conversions while maintaining a specified monthly budget. The skills and results of DOM are fantastic, but what really sets DOM apart is their people and approach. They consistently go above and beyond to meet the needs of customers.
