The PCB design is much easier with Diptrace. During the initial days, it was quite easy for me to learn about pcb design and it's application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The controllability during pcb Design was a bit difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

DipTrace is the one of the few PCB CAD software which is very user friendly. One can just start the working without event need of learning it. The GUI is designed such a way that its very easy to understand what I have to do for my need.
Another feature I must say is that its light. It would not slow down your computer and you can run it smoothly on any moderate config computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
During routing complex design like DDR3 routing and impedance matching, its not so easy to do it in DipTrace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Rich Library, free symbols and footprints are the best part of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some minor trouble about tracing i faced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Everything is fine,3d modelling and components all are very interesting Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some components don't have pin I mean some ic's Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Capturing schematic with components linked to Library,
Electrical rule checks,
3D PCB Preview,
Auto router capability(Fair enough),
Very simple to use(for small designs),
Modern Interface,
Most Affordable,
and Popular enough to get support from communities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not a “standard” and not in widespread use (Many use altium or eagle),
some libraries (few) from component manufacturer not available for diptrace . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

3D preview, intuitive user interface easy enough to learn, advanced tools are available to use, moderate pricing, thousands of components in readily available libraries. Library components are very recent. easy to edit existing components, auto aligning components is very useful. One click conversion from schematic to pcb is really good. Switching between different layers is easy. Good graphic hardware support, texture looks really nice. Design verification engine is easy to configure and catches every problem, one definitely needs to use it before sending design to production. When I need to add a custom component to library, I use Pattern Editor, it is easy to use does good job. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Track, Via and other objects lack ready to use templates, constructing missing parts is hard especially ICs of 40 pins or more, It would be good to have text based component construction, copy paste of object attributes would also be beneficiary. Track classes needs to have some templates. auto-placement is not good enough, 3D models are not updated long time. 3D model installer would be better if it support selective component install. Resetting object padding and rotate is missing. Reverting back from PCB to schematic would really be nice a feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It does not take much time to understand how it works, which makes it easy for beginners. No dedicated training sessions required to explain the basics. For advanced level designs, some tutorials are available online.
End-to-End process management is easy for DipTrace, in the sense that right from starting to create design, to building a model and then finally exporting the output in required file format is easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some advanced libraries for complex designs are difficult to find on internet. Creating such libraries takes up a lot of time and also knowledge of an individual might be limited to in making libraries.
Importing libraries is little cumbersome, in the sense that libraries created by other design tools usually give errors while importing and using it further.
Rendering can be improved, it usually gives very slow results while on a low-computing power machine.
Auto-Design is usually not a suitable option, as it gives designs which are not feasible Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Diptrace is very simple, but powerful CAD for schematics capture and PCB design. It is available as free version for non-comercial use or a license for a very small cost. It has a vast builtin library of electronic components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some outdaed GUI, missing shortcuts, no antialiasing and something odd with fonts. Diptrace doesn't save font and units selection defaults on restart. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Diptrace excelled over all other tools I have tried.
I really find find that this program works well with the way I think and design schematics and boards.
Schematics capture,PCB layout, Library Creation, 3D creation are part of this SW which makes your life easy.
3D board preview is great for seeing how a board might look when finished. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are always somethings which needs improvement.
Auto placement and auto routing are the part of this SW which makes life of developer easy and time saving.
But sometimes after using the feature you have to review the complete design and routing which ends up with more time.
According to my understanding there should be some rules or guidelines before using this feature.
So that's we don't have to review each and every route. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
