I implemented Dimplaomat Manager File transfer as a way to enable SFTP communications with business partners.

It was a year ago.

I did not know anything about Diplomat MFT. However, a very knowledgeable colleague suggested I try it as a lot of his customers are using this software.

The only downside is that I do not have a direct connection between IBM System I, where I have the files and Diplomat MFT.

Diplomat managed file transfer has been a powerful workhorse for all of our enterprise file exchange for many years. No other enterprise application we use comes with the same level of support we receive from Coviant. When we experience an issue or have a question we get support quickly. From offering tips for improved transaction configuration or deep analysis of debug logs they are very responsive partners. I've seen support for some of our other applications degrade as the products have been sold off and lost in the shuffle of IT mergers. It would be helpful if we could bulk update transactions. Due to the nature of the implementation of Diplomat in our environment we're not able to simply export the transactions, update them and then import. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was easy to configure.

It works as advertised. Site to site SFTP transfers with PGP encryption/decryption.

The support is fantastic. I had to contact them on a few occasions - as it turns out, not for issues with Diplomat MFT but issues with one of the FTP partners. The interface and GUI are very straightforward. The options are simple and labeled so anyone can understand how to set up and configure. The ability to test something without actually sending something is also beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There isn't really anything I dislike about Diplomat. However one thing that could be improved are not hiding or having options hidden until something is selected. There are features the user cannot find until something else is checked. Email notifications when a job is finished would also be convenient to have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Extremely robust platform for managing our enterprise file transactions. Every upgrade provides us with additional useful tools to streamline our business processes. I find the sftp file transfers to be the most helpful tool of Diplomat MFT. No need for programming, the interface is customized already and users only need to fill in the boxes.

The only issue so far that we have bumped into is that you have to upgrade to have the option of writing audit information to an external database.
