The number one feature of Diligent Boards is how easy it makes it to manage board meetings and documents. Easy to use platform means board members can easily get into meeting materials and collaborate. I like how strongly secure it is, such as restricting the access to documents. Through integration with tools like Microsoft Office, documents can be easily collaborated with on while performing board related tasks thus improving efficiency. The one thing that I’ve noticed with Diligent Boards is that sometimes syncing documents can lag occasionally, especially with large files. That frustration comes about when updates aren’t seen in real time during meetings. The syncing may delay and while the platform is, in general, solid, delays can affect the flow of discussions. I like Diligent Boards for it has strong security measures to make sure that no one touches sensitive document. The permission settings of the platform help us to define who shall be accessing particular documents, which in the case of board level communication adds a layer of trust. Features like highly detailed audit trails and ability to alter meeting agendas easily has been specifically helpful to ensure that our board meetings run smoothly and are aligned with relevant rules. Downside with Diligent Boards is the overall offline functionality. It's hard for board members to access the documents they need when they’re traveling or in locations where connectivity is limited. This has thus affected productivity when offline access would have been most useful.
