"Effective solution for managing sensitive board materials"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Diligent Boards?

The biggest feature I like about Diligent Boards is how the board documents stay secure and easily accessible. When it’s all in one place it really makes board prep flow a lot smoother, since I can remote work and have file access from anywhere. Other than that, we have it integrated with our document management system so that we don't have to update over and over again, it becomes more efficient and we no longer have to duplicate any work and we can stay organized and prepared. What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?

The problem with Diligent Boards is the search is limited, especially when seeking older documents. It also means we don’t have those meeting notes if we want to find them at a specific time in our workflow. But the platform’s setup and initial onboarding was longer than expected, associated with additional time and training for the team. Accessing or retrieving important documents has in some cases been delayed by these challenges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized platform for efficient meeting preparation"
4/5
What do you like best about Diligent Boards?

One thing that stood out to me about Diligent Boards is that it offers a complete package of features intended to foster better board meetings. The centralized platform for documents saves us hours of time, and thanks to its integration with popular tools like Google Workspace this is a breeze, no matter where you are. I appreciate the secure messaging function especially, it keeps discussions protected and information secure amongst board members. Overall this functionality has improved our productivity tremendously. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?

Diligent Boards can be pretty sluggish from time to time depending on the document size you’re working on. This ultimately means our meetings become slower, especially if we need to access information real quick. Meanwhile, some of my team members have also struggled with the somewhat daunting initial get it set up side of things, likely taking time to figure out where everything is. These can be hurdles in between discussions of the most critical matters which are impacting our efficiency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A real game changer for document organization"
4/5
What do you like best about Diligent Boards?

The most useful part of Diligent Boards for me is how it helps board meeting leadership. The interface of the platform is simple and you can arrange the documents easily. We collaborate even further with its integration with tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. The ease of use has caused us to simplify how we get ready, so that we aren’t spending time worrying about logistics, we can focus more on the content of the meeting. What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?

Something that is true about Diligent Boards that is generally a concern is it often slows down when loading larger documents and it can mess with our workflow during important meetings. It can be very frustrating if you need to get information quickly. Additionally, the platform itself has a generally user friendly design, however some of the features can be difficult to find for new users. However, this learning curve hinders the utilization of the software as a whole, sometimes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great platform for organizing and sharing sensitive documents"
4/5
What do you like best about Diligent Boards?

I actually like the efficiency that Diligent Boards has brought to the entire aspect of board meetings. It is also very friendly to work with especially in the distribution of documents and agendas with other members of a team. It has been synchronized with Microsoft Office Suites that makes it easy to update files. This has created in me confidence especially when dealing with sensitive documents say when applied in companies and organizations. On balance, it has improved our board meetings making them easier to organize and to run. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?

One thing I really don’t like about Diligent Boards is the mobile app that sometimes looks slow and sometimes slow when loading a number of large documents. This has lead to a lot of inconveniences when I want to access some papers during work, meetings or when on the move. As is evident from using it often, these problems have affected my efficiency in environments where there is high performance expected. Largely speaking, usability is rather high, but the differences between a much more polished mobile experience would be noticeable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very convenient tool for the organization of Board meetings"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Diligent Boards?

Diligent Boards permits us to collaborate easily in the construction of the board book, and to build the agenda as the book progresses. I like the easy and secure sharing of the board books with our board members. The platform is quite intuitive and it was easy to start working with it and integrating it into our ways of work. We also received good feedback from our directors. They used the platform also to to export the materials into one pdf and read it off-line ar their convenience. The option to take minutes through Diligent and to have them reviewed by stakeholders also makes my life a lot easier: before there was a lot more typing and administration involved. We also use the secure sharing module to have all relevant materials in one place, and our directors can access them when needed. The option to have directors sign resolutions through Diligent is also a useful tool but have not really used it yet. Compared to the previous tool that we used, Diligent Boards is a big upgrade. We have monthly board meetings so we use Diligent often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?

Some of the aspects of Diligent Boards really require one or two trainings before you really know how to use them. This is the reason I did not use the platform to its full potential. The fact that trainings are broken down in so many different trainings on each topic for me created stress: which training to choose first and does this fit in my already full agenda? It would be much easier to foresee little films that can be watched on the website, and that explain in a concise but precise way how all tools work. This would have been a lot easier as you can watch them when you have 10 minutes off between meetings, instead of booking a training days in advance.

I would like the minutes-making module to be a bit more personalizable. For instance, our logo always ended up flat, and I did not like the lettertype. Maybe this is something that can be done, but then I did not find how to do it. So in the end I always exported the minutes into word, and adapted them there.

We had some issues with notifications from Diligent being identified as spam by our spam filter, because the notifications turn up as a mail sent by a specific person (rather than a mail from Diligent) and our system identified this as a potential threat (someone trying to impersonate another person). We were able to solve this problem together with Diligent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Diligent Boards: Outstanding and Highly Recommended Board Portal"
5/5
What do you like best about Diligent Boards?

The platform is very user-friendly and intuitive so even directors who are not particularly tech savvy have had no problems navigating the site. The training offered to users and administrators is excellent.

Diligent's customer support is absolutely top notch. Anytime we have had any issues (which is seldom) the response has been immediate, highly professional, knowledgeable and caring. The team is always ready and available to provide assistance no matter what time of the day it is.

It has led to a marked improvement in the efficiency and security of our governance processes. Organizing meetings is a much simpler task and sharing and updating materials is quick and easy. The signature vote feature is fantastic for obtaining signatures for meeting minutes and especially useful for adopting urgent resolutions. The Secure File Sharing system is an added plus for sending confidential materials to persons outside the platform.

Having all our Board and Committee meeting packs in one secure and centralized repository is a huge advantage for storing and accessing materials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?

There is very little to dislike. The minutes section could be improved slightly (once the minutes are in review, you cannot add actions or edit certain portions). Updating materials is easy but if you need to replace a document with another one with a different number of pages, you cannot use the "replace with options" feature and any notes taken may be lost.
