The reports generated from completed questionnaires are really useful. I appreciate the multiple capabilities Diligent Boards offers to assist with all aspects of board meetings and materials. I like the simplicity of revising questionnaires and generating various reports for data on the results. It’s helpful that all director questionnaire responses can be compiled into one document for easy reference. The calendar feature is a great central location for multiple people to view and make changes. I also enjoy the reference center, which stores governance documents and other reference materials, making access easier. **What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?** When I upload a document to a meeting in the portal, I just want it to upload when I drag and drop, I don't want to hit a 'confirm' button. Too much clicking like this is a time-waster and seems like it could be removed. Also, the electronic signature upload shouldn’t have such extremely specific size requirements. This takes extra time and hassle to prep the signature to the requirements. It would be helpful if the system would automatically reformat an as-is uploaded signature. **What problems is Diligent Boards solving and how is that benefiting you?** Diligent Boards makes board material prep easy and quick and offers useful reports from completed questionnaires. The web interface is intuitive, training is easy, the viewing portal looks clean and easy to follow. Building books is very easy (with one caveat in the dislike section), it was easy to integrate our legacy books using the drag and drop feature. Voting documents are easy to create and implement. Shielding private documents is easy to do, and replacing documents while maintaining notes is an amazing feature. Love the functionality to include dial-in info, as well as link the page in the notification. We use it frequently to communicate with our Board, and also our management team for C-suite meetings. The customer service and live person support are fantastic. My "Team Gold" is extremely responsive at setting up accounts, and I love the trainings they initiated over the last several months. **What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?** In the legacy OneClick, it was easy to build a book by dragging a folder full of individual documents and selecting the option to make each document a separate tab. The web version does not have this option (you need to save all the files in separate folders which is unwieldy, I've spoken to our customer service rep about). I've also heard complaints from our BOD that the home page is more "sales-y" than before, advertising conferences, and it's hard for them to find books. Another complaint I've heard from the BOD is they cannot "reply all" to notification if they have a comment they want everyone to see (have to either email them or create a message in messenger). **What problems is Diligent Boards solving and how is that benefiting you?** Confidentiality (cannot share materials), ease of following along in meeting (sequencing in the book), everyone can see their own device vs squinting to see a screen with PPT materials. I like the easy and secure sharing of the board books with our board members. The platform is quite intuitive and it was easy to start working with it and integrating it into our ways of work. We also received good feedback from our directors. They used the platform also to to export the materials into one pdf and read it off-line ar their convenience. The option to take minutes through Diligent and to have them reviewed by stakeholders also makes my life a lot easier: before there was a lot more typing and administration involved. We also use the secure sharing module to have all relevant materials in one place, and our directors can access them when needed. The option to have directors sign resolutions through Diligent is also a useful tool but have not really used it yet. Compared to the previous tool that we used, Diligent Boards is a big upgrade. We have monthly board meetings so we use Diligent often. **What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?** Some of the aspects of Diligent Boards really require one or two trainings before you really know how to use them. This is the reason I did not use the platform to its full potential. The fact that trainings are broken down in so many different trainings on each topic for me created stress: which training to choose first and does this fit in my already full agenda? It would be much easier to foresee little films that can be watched on the website, and that explain in a concise but precise way how all tools work. This would have been a lot easier as you can watch them when you have 10 minutes off between meetings, instead of booking a training days in advance. I would like the minutes-making module to be a bit more personalizable. For instance, our logo always ended up flat, and I did not like the lettertype. Maybe this is something that can be done, but then I did not find how to do it. So in the end I always exported the minutes into word, and adapted them there. We had some issues with notifications from Diligent being identified as spam by our spam filter, because the notifications turn up as a mail sent by a specific person (rather than a mail from Diligent) and our system identified this as a potential threat (someone trying to impersonate another person).
