We are an organization that likes to make lots of changes to our materials up to the last minute and making last minute changes is easy and straightforward. It has been a great onboarding experience and Diligent provides excellent support and service in the beginning but also throughout the relationship as well. Their support team made sure we were set up the way we wanted to be set up before we rolled this product out to those we serve. **What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?** No major downsides. However, we would like some added flexibility from an end-user standpoint. For example, if we have pages in our materials that isn't available for everyone, we would prefer just one blank page instead of a blank page for every page they cannot see. **What problems is Diligent Boards solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has allowed us to send materials to our clients electronically and reduce the amount of paper board materials we produce. It has reduced risk by not having as much printed materials out there. Also, it has made it much easier to incorporate last minute changes to Board materials without the need to amend page numbers and the downstream impacts that printing and inserting materials manually would have. It has also solved the issue of allowing us to produce one set of materials and then control access to those materials electronically instead of trying to keep it all straight when printing. ### 2. Most of the functionality is intuitive and some clicking around leads us to figuring out most of it on our own, which I appreciate. **What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?** On the Flows feature, there's not an option to have multiple "preparers" on a task. You need to toggle between a prep person and a reviewer. In our setting, we have multiple people that work on a Board item at once, collaboratively. You need a live feature where multiple people can edit at once or a feature where multiple people can prep an item and they "check out" a file so multiple people aren't trying to change it at the same time. **What problems is Diligent Boards solving and how is that benefiting you?** We were old school and used to send out PDF copies of the board deck (and some members wanted paper copies). Beside the fact this was time consuming, it also wasn't secure. We can now centralize all our board materials, including past minutes, board decks, and audited financials. in one central location. ### 3. I implemented it in a large system about 15 years ago and continue to use it at another institution now. It's easy to use, intuitive for the administrator as well as the Board Member, Diligent continually makes improvements, and seeks administrator feedback regularly. The customer support is always excellent and the integration has been seemless. I use this product at least once a week if not more frequently. **What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?** I have nothing that I dislike. I have been consistently happy with this product for more than a decade. When I try to email sometimes it doesn't get back to me in a timely manner. This was time-consuming, expensive, insecure, and caused many mistakes and communication issues. Once we started using the Diligent platform, we were able to send documents to Board members across the country in an instant for all Board and Committee meetings (about one per week); we were able to revise documents that needed to be updated seamlessly even after publishing; Trustees were able to review the information well in advance of Board meetings; we now save money and are much more sustainable by not having to print giant books of information and mail them to ~25 people for every meeting. Diligent Boards' customer support is exceptional; they physically came to our remote location during implementation and successfully assuaged any concerns or hesitancies the Board members had at that time (some were wary of this change to digital Board packets). With Diligent's support, the implementation of this platform was extremely easy and smooth. Both the administrative staff who manage the information and the Trustees who receive the information find this software intuitive and easy to use. It has become part of everyone's daily routine and now we cannot imagine a world without Diligent Boards! **What do you dislike about Diligent Boards?** The survey feature within Diligent Boards was a little bit clunky when we tried using it. We ended up switching to Microsoft Forms because it was more user-friendly. It would be great to somehow integrate an entire meeting experience within the Diligent platform where the survey could pop up right in the meeting like a Zoom poll. The Resource Center was also not as intuitive/ easy to find for Trustees as we thought it would be, so they don't really use that feature. **What problems is Diligent Boards solving and how is that benefiting you?** Diligent Boards is a dynamic tool that allows Administrative Support Staff to communicate important information to Trustees efficiently, effectively, and securely, in real time. ### 45.
