"Effortless Power and Simplicity, But Could Use More Built-In Safeguards"
5/5
What do you like best about DigitalOcean?

What i like best about digital ocean is how it manages to stay powerful without ever feeling complicated. most cloud providers feel like you are borrowing a spaceship just to deploy a small app, but digital ocean feels more like driving a well built car fast, predictable and completely in your control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?

what i dislike about digital ocean is not the product itself it is that it is almost too lean at times.the simplicity that makes it so refreshing can also leave you wishing for a few more builtin safety nets. for instance, when you are managing multiple environments or scaling quickly, the lack of deeper automation or native cost insights can make you feel like you are flying manual in heavy clouds Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cloud Made Simple and Affordable, Just How I Like It"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DigitalOcean?

I really like how straightforward DigitalOcean is. Setting up a Droplet (their virtual server) takes just a few clicks, and the interface is clean enough that I never feel lost. The pricing is transparent-no hidden costs-and starts low enough to fit small projects or startups. Another plus is their huge library of community tutorials and guides, which makes solving issues a lot easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?

Sometimes the support response time can be slow, especially during busy periods. I’ve also learned to keep extra backups, as I once had a managed database update cause some data loss. And while it’s perfect for simple to medium-scale projects, it lacks some of the advanced features you’d get from bigger cloud providers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There’s not much to complain about, but the database pricing feels a bit high. That said, the performance and reliability make it worth the cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptionally Simple and User-Friendly for Beginners"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DigitalOcean?

What I appreciate most is the simplicity. For someone just starting out, it's very straightforward and user-friendly. It helps you steer clear of the complexity and confusion that often comes with AWS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?

Some features are still in their nascent stage and need further development. As users, we often find that these are the most common use cases, so it is disappointing when they are not fully supported. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Predictable Pricing and Great Value with DigitalOcean"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DigitalOcean?

I like the static and predictable pricing on digital oceans. It is better and cheaper than all the alternatives and their region availability and coverage is also at par with it’s competitors Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?

There are some compatibility issues between S3 storage in AWS and digital oceans spaces when I use AWS sdk. We have to use a workaround to make these 2 compatible Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best IaaS platform I've tried... Absolute minimalism!"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DigitalOcean?

DigitalOcean is simply exceptional for its minimalist approach that doesn't sacrifice functionality. What I like the most:

Simplicity without compromises: The interface is incredibly clean and intuitive. In minutes you can have a droplet running, without unnecessary complex configurations.

Transparent pricing: There are no surprises in billing. You know exactly what you pay for what you use, without hidden costs or confusing pricing structures like other providers.

Exceptional documentation: Their tutorials and guides are clear, direct, and really useful. The community and educational content are top-notch.

Consistent performance: The droplets have predictable and reliable performance. The SSDs and network work exactly as you expect.

Developer-friendly: Perfect for developers who want to focus on building, not struggling with infrastructure. The APIs are simple and well-documented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DigitalOcean?

Fewer enterprise services: Compared to AWS or Azure, it has fewer specialized services. But honestly, this is also part of its minimalist charm.

Limited support in basic plans: Premium technical support requires more expensive plans, although the documentation makes up for this a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
