DienstplanHeld is an online shift planner for small teams of about 5 to 30 employees in home care services, restaurants and retail in Germany. You create shifts with start, end, break and position, then assign them or leave them open. Every employee sees their schedule in the mobile browser, no app installation needed. Staff without an email address get a personal access link, optionally protected with a four-digit PIN. If someone falls ill in the morning, they report sick in the app. The shift appears on the swap board, a colleague takes it over with one click, and the manager confirms. Employees can also claim open shifts themselves; you decide whether that applies immediately or only after your approval. While planning, the app shows hints on rest periods, breaks and maximum working hours under the German Working Hours Act (ArbZG) and on the earnings limit for mini-jobbers. The decision stays with you. The working time account calculates target, planned and recorded hours per month and exports to CSV. A plan suggestion distributes open shifts to suitable employees using fixed rules (no language model); you confirm each shift individually. Also included: weekly preferences from employees, multiple locations, the weekly schedule as a printable notice (A4 landscape, PDF) and a calendar subscription. All features are currently free, no credit card required. The provider is MoersbergerIT, a sole proprietorship in Sarstedt, Germany. The application and database run on a server in Germany. The interface is in German, built for German labour law.
