"Not 100% accurate at this point"

What do you like best?

In it's early stages, this does a decent job of transcribing calls and voicemails. If your organization is the type that reviews calls at a granular level and use phone conversations as an employee metric, I can see this being a useful feature. Instead of listening to a bunch of recordings, you can read a transcript to get a quick gist of the conversation. This may be an obvious statement, but transcriptions are much more accurate when both you and the other caller are on clear voice lines. You can also tailor the transcription pronunciations of certain words or phrase by adding it to your company dictionary. This is a free feature that can be enable and disabled as you like.

What do you dislike?

In it's early stages, this isn't 100% accurate, even with clear service on both ends. I expect this to get better as time goes on, but in it's current stage, there's much room for improvement.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Keep in mind, with any voice transcribing technology, there isn't going to be 100% accuracy in the translation. This does a decent job at the moment, and I expect this to be more accurate down the road.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

VoiceAI is useful for voicemails as you can just read the transcript without having to open the recording.

"Dialpad is a fantastic idea but a terrible product"

What do you like best?

Great idea - I love being able to switch back and forth between my phone and computer to work with contractors. I use it many times a day. But it is the flakiest, buggiest, most poorly implemented piece of software I have ever used.

What do you dislike?

Dialpad is the flakiest piece of junk... it constantly surprises me with new ways of failing. I don't get notifications of a call, or I'll get a notification of a call that I then can't answer, or I'll have to place a call 5 times before it will go through. I'll get a voicemail notification 3 days after it was left. Texts sometimes come through garbled, or in the wrong characters - one of my co-workers gets text from one person only in Chinese characters. The person sending them does not speak Chinese, and google translate can't get any meaning from them. I've also had calls to me randomly redirected to someone else's voicemail. (Apparently a woman speaking French.)

Recommendations to others considering the product

Great idea, hopefully it will tighten up and become more usable in the very near future... if it becomes more robust I would happily recommend it to everyone, but as it is I would hesitate to recommend Dialpad at all.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am an Operations Manager working with a team of about 40 independent contractors and employees. We communicate tasks and project updates through many different channels, which are all searchable after the fact, except phone calls. When you're used to being able to read old emails and texts, getting back into the habit of taking notes from phone calls can be difficult - we are hoping that DialPad VoiceAI will make this seamless and allow for us to stay more on top of the game with keeping track of what has and has not yet been communicated.

"Product Sometimes Good, Sometimes Mediocre with Great Support "

What do you like best?

Very easy to implement and easy to use as long as your contact center needs are not very complex. The teams are very responsive and eager to help support us with issues that arise. Voice transcription software is surprisingly accurate with occasional hiccups. I previously used TalkIQ for a period, and presentation and usage is much stronger. Overall, a great experience and product to work with.

What do you dislike?

There were some speed bumps in the porting process initially. The exact steps of what would happen and the inability to pick a time to port that worked for us. but that got sorted in future ports. More than not I can host a successful call a however many of our branch offices with low internet speeds do have a pleasant time with this product. Voice transcription sometimes completely misses the mark.

Recommendations to others considering the product

For anyone considering this product, understand that this is an overall GOOD product however you will experience times where the product will not function properly. Depending how much you want to put up with that said issue, Dialpad may or may not be the best product for you. In every other area its fantastic.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As a Sales Leader, primarily use it for training purposes. It's important to have live transcripts to train new reps on calls, process, methodology, and feedback.

"Dialpad VoiceAI is mediocre"

What do you like best?

Ever since adopting Dialpad they've come out with any great features and improvements to their platform. Being a cloud platform you can expect many great features and patches and Dialpad with their VoiceAI was a decent functionality that they have released to its customers. Sometimes you forget what was said in phone call with a peer however with VoiceAI Dialpad opens the ability to quickly give you a summary of your call and received a somewhat decent transcript of your call. This is great because it keeps both parties in phone call the chance to recent key topics that were discussed.

What do you dislike?

As with any voice to text functionality, it comes with its quirks and bugs. Sometimes during a fast paced call in Dialpad, I will have voiceAI turned on to capture details about a topic discussed so that i can revisit it later. However, when i go to revisit, many times the feature will not capture the entirety of the conversation accurately rendering the feature somewhat useless.

Recommendations to others considering the product

To anyone looking to adpot dialpad know that this feature is one that they truly standby and will work to make better. All in all VoiceAI is a decent product that can work effectively 90% of the time and can come in handy and the most unexpected times.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

With Dialpad's Voice AI we are able to conduct meetings and automatically have meeting notes at the end of conferences. Many times not everyone is able to take detailed meeting notes so with VoiceAI we can have worry free meetings and focus our discussion rather than waiting for a scribe to take down everything we say. It allows us to be more efficient and have quicker meetings all together.

"Company Dictionary Improves Transcript Accuracy "

What do you like best?

When I first started with VoiceAl I still had to make a lot of manual corrections to any transcript it made due to company specific language. But now, with Voice Al’s latest update, we have been adding our company specific jargon and acronyms and the transcripts have been impressively accurate.

What do you dislike?

If I am on a 3-way call or use DialPad to call into zoom, VoiceAl can not distinguish who is talking.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

When we have calls or user interviews, we often want to have a transcript of what happened on the call VoiceAl does the hard work of getting us a first draft of the transcript. Since I have been using VoiceAl, the transcripts have gotten more and more accurate. In particular, the update with being able to add company specific words, has made a big difference.

"Best function for lawyers!"

What do you like best?

The transcriptions are fairly accurate and can be easily saved for future reference. Dialpad allows you to archive it by email, and we are able to forward those notes on to our legal software, if needed.

What do you dislike?

The accuracy depends on the call quality and if there's a delay the transcription might not catch every word, but the overall accuracy is pretty good.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Our office often has lengthy calls with clients and having the Dialpad VoiceAI allows us to go back and reference what was said on the call.

"Excellent feature!"

What do you like best?

Dialpad VoiceAI is one of my favorite features of dialpad. I've used it to look up calls to remember when I've discussed a topic with someone and to find someones number when I haven't saved the contact

What do you dislike?

As it is still in beta, the transcription is far from perfect. It had more trouble with rapid speech or mumbles. It's much more useful for a presentation where the caller is attempting to speak clearly

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Voicemail to text had been the most helpful. We're able to identify a caller and subject at a glance rather than listening to the whole spoken message
