## Dialpad Connect Reviews
 ### 1. Texting Issues- Calling Works

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roberto B. | Owner, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

The voip calling works fine. However, since opening the account- over six months- the text-messaging has never functioned properly. Note- this is on a 10 tdlc approved business line. And, with the default dialpad account settings (new account.) And, after dealing with customer support on multiple occasions. They were unable to fix the problem.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

The text messaging never functioned properly. 1.) This is a new account- default settings 2.) 10tdlc approved business line 3.) Dealt with customer support for over six months, and they were unable to resolve the issue. The problem is that the business cannot text message a client initially. instead, the client must send the first text. Then, the business can reply in the text thread (but not always.)

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VOIP business line. Calls work. Incoming text-messages work to the best of our knowledge

**Official Response from Sydney Perez:**

> Hi Roberto, we're so sorry to hear about your experience and understand your concerns. This isn’t the standard we aim to provide, and I'd personally like to make it right.

If you’re open to it, please reach out to me at sydney@dialpad.com with a bit more detail so I can look into this and help resolve things for you.

Thank you!

 ### 2. DO NOT USE DIALPAD

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen C. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

Absolutely nothing, because I can’t get any of my questions answered or resolved.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Cannot cancel my subscription. I spoke directly with the director, who personally assured me the subscription would be canceled and that I would receive a refund. May came around and not only was the subscription still active, but I was charged again.

The worst part of this entire experience has been the customer service. Be prepared to wait 1-2 hours just to speak with someone, and then another 1-2 weeks to actually get anything resolved. Extremely frustrating experience overall.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There were very few benefits, and they were completely masked by all the issues I ran into with the customer success team. They don’t seem to have any ability to escalate problems within a reasonable timeframe, so I consistently had to wait 1–2 hours on hold just to get a response.

 ### 3. Too Complex and Frustrating for Small Businesses

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

VOIP business line with video calling features.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

It was extremely difficult and frustrating to use as a small business. It's geared to be managed by an expert in VOIP and IT systems. It was difficult to change different settings as they were located in different areas. The voicemails transcriptions was always wrong, inserting words and symbols in the text, so I always had to go and hear the voicemail. The import contacts function did not work. I was never able to use the contacts to call clients and had to input their numbers it time.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped to have a voip line for my business, but it was too complex for a small business. Switched to Quo. Works great. Intuitive, cheaper, has all the functions I need and it is incredibly simple to use and setup.

**Official Response from Sydney Perez:**

> Hi there, we're so sorry to hear about your experience and understand your concerns. This isn’t the standard we aim to provide, and I'd personally like to make it right.

If you’re open to it, please reach out to me at sydney@dialpad.com with a bit more detail so I can look into this and help resolve things for you.

Thank you!

 ### 4. Great product - dishonest sales and billing

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin B. | Founder & CEO, Real Estate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

The software is easy to use and configure. Voice quality is good.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

We had issues when we first switched to Dialpad, the sales team had flat out lied in order to get or business, and there was no attempt to honor their promises. We ended up building our own custom integration to make it work with Salesforce. But even substantially worse is the dishonesty and lack of integrity on how they run their business. They require an annual contract. Before the contract was due we were told we could not make any changes until the renewal time. And literally the day after it auto-renewed, we are told that you cannot make changes after renewal, we need to wait until the following year. So you can't believe anything your sales rep or support rep tells you. It turns out, our contract states we can request changes ONLY in the 45 day window prior to renewal. So review your contract, don't listen to your sales rep or your support rep!

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to manage calls and texts with multiple marketing phone numbers as well as between PC and mobile.

 ### 5. Frequent Service Disruptions and Poor Support Undermine Useful Features

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ana G. | Inside Sales Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

The AI-generated transcripts and insights are excellent. I also find the Salesforce integration straightforward and very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

There was a clear lack of implementation and support from their team. When we first adopted Dialpad, our organization was never properly set up, which resulted in low adoption rates and a general dissatisfaction with the product. On top of that, we encountered numerous technical issues. Clients frequently struggled to join Dialpad meetings, and calls would often drop. Service disruptions were also a common occurrence.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We chose to switch to Dialpad in order to streamline all of our customer-facing phone calls and meetings, making sure that everything was integrated into our CRM. Unfortunately, our initial implementation faced numerous issues, which led to very low adoption rates. In the end, the challenges we hoped Dialpad would solve were actually exacerbated by these problems.

 ### 6. A completely broken Hubspot integration, and lackluster support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob L. | CMO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

I struggle to find anything I like about it at this point.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

The integration to Hubspot has been completely broken since we launched it. It's ridding our CRM with duplicative logs, and inserts links to recordings and "summaries" that just go to blank pages.

I put in a support ticket and it took them over a month to finally admit that they know about an issue, but don't have a solid fix for it.

It's incredibly frustrating to be told after a month, something I already know, and to have no fix. We are leaving and never looking back. I'd suggest others to stay far away.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The need for a phone system.

 ### 7. Too much reliance on AI

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

Good UX, nice desktop app, easy to use platform

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Too much use of AI invades privacy and is bad for the environment

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No problems at this time

 ### 8. Nonexistent Customer Service

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Practice

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

The transcripts are good. The dashboard is useful.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Customer service is the worst I've seen. We asked to have a license added to our account because a new physician joined the practice. 2 months later and not resolution. Chatted online with someone for over 2 hours. Still no resolution. No one responds to email. We're moving to Spruce.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dialpad created new problems for us.

 ### 9. Too much issues and customers are calling saying they can´t contact us.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance

**Reviewed Date:** February 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

The AI system where it transcribe the call at the same time we are in the call.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Too much issues, some people thought we were out of business and they forgot about us because they tried to call and the call was not going thru, months later they realized we are still up.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None for the moment

 ### 10. I am on hold writing this...

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

They have a great sales team the seem to bve able to pormise the world...

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Nothing works beneath the glossy exterior - mainstream CRM integration...now on email support via ticket in Philipnes...been told by multiple people 'we'll call you back' which is kind of ironic for a phone VOIP company

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We migrated from AirCall due to quality and the level of support, they now feel like a eutopian dream compared to the nightmare we are living

 ### 11. Atrocious Customer Service

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

Don't be deceived by the competitive pricing and advertised features. They ahve polished videos and marketing, but if you encounter even the smallest issue, they will bring your entire business to a halt and leave you hanging.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Their customer service is absolutely abysmal. They do not do what they claim they will, but they will claim they have completed service tasks that are necessary to the functioning of your business. You will only later discover that they have lied and when you request that they resolve the issue, they will go through the same cycle of inaction and lies about resolving the issue, while perpetuating the service issue and potententially the damage to your business.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. In fact, we now have new problems we never had before and nobody at dialpad is stepping up to resolve them, despite having created them in the first place.

**Official Response from Sydney Perez:**

> Hi there, I am so sorry to hear you have had such a negative experience. We are determined to make this right.

Please email dulce@dialpad.com— our Director of Support is eager to jump on this and better understand the issue.

 ### 12. Switched from KIXIE, regretting the decision.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Samuel B. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

The account manager was delightful to collaborate with, yet given circumstances beyond her control, her ability to effect change is limited.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

I am utterly disappointed with the service I've received from Dialpad.

Dropped Calls Increased by 100%: It's like we've stepped back in time to the era of unreliable landlines. Our calls have become a game of chance, with dropped calls occurring twice as often as before. It's beyond frustrating and a huge detriment to our business operations.

Need to Hack the System: The fact that we had to resort to hacking the system just to make it work for our organization is mind-boggling. This makeshift solution only served to make things more confusing. We've essentially had to jury-rig the entire system to fit our needs.

Frequent Spam Likely Caller IDs: Our phone lines continue to have spam-likely caller IDs. It's not only an annoyance but also a waste of valuable time when you're constantly getting sent to VM with text saying you are coming up as spam.

Oversold on the Sales Call: When we signed up, we were promised the moon and the stars. The sales pitch was convincing, but it was nothing but empty promises. We were led to believe that this service would be a game-changer for our organization, but it has been nothing short of a disaster.

False Zoho Integration Claims: One of the selling points was the supported Zoho integration, but the reality is that there's no direct integration at all. We were misled, and it's been a pain to manually transfer data between systems.

Manual Lead Assignment: The promise of calls being automatically assigned to leads turned out to only work if you also clicked the record on the application after you used click to dial (Due to not having a direct Zoho integration).

Constant Disconnects with CRM: It's a weekly ritual to reconnect our CRM system to this service. The constant disconnects disrupt our workflow and make it a hassle to maintain an efficient and reliable system. In summary, our experience with this service has been a nightmare. The dropped calls, need for hacking, spam calls, false promises, lack of integration, manual lead assignments, and constant disconnects have made it a source of never-ending frustration. I strongly advise anyone considering this service to steer clear and look elsewhere for a more reliable and honest solution.

Our sales have plummeted drastically since implementing this service. It's not an exaggeration to say that they've dropped in half, and it's not a coincidence. The litany of issues with this service, from dropped calls to the need for hacking the system, frequent spam calls, false promises, and constant disconnects with our CRM, have all contributed to a significant decline in our revenue. It's been a financial disaster, and we're left with no choice but to reevaluate our entire business strategy due to this dreadful experience.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is not solving problems rather it has created them.

 ### 13. Customer Service is Non Exsistent

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brenton T. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

The app has a decent interface that is easy to use and understand.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

We were paying $300 a year for Dialpad and added 2 lines for our telemarketing initiatives. The bill increased from $300 to $900 a year, which didn't seem reasonable. But that's okay, a quick conversation with Dialpad's customer service should clear things up. I was wrong! After spending HOURS on their website looking for a phone number to call, support webpages that take you in circles, and a chatbot that doesn't work I ended up finding the customer service email addresses in forums. A week has gone by and the only response I've gotten is that they discontinued the email I had contacted. I wasn't looking to switch providers but they literally don't have a customer service department anymore.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to seperate my personal phone from business inquiries.

 ### 14. Was fantastic 12 months ago, terrible now

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2023

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

When we joined Dialpad 12 months ago we loved the ease of setup and support was absolutely fantastic. Overall, it used to be a fantastic service.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

As of the 1st of August, Dialpad has started charging us for every single inbound call we receive. There was no notice that this change would be occurring and I have received nothing to tell me what these call rates are. Our annual expense of $720 has now blown out to about $5,000. That's a 7-times increase. Overnight with no notice. And don't try to get a response from support anymore. You won't get one. I submitted multiple tickets recently and have not had a response to any of them.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's currently creating a lot of problems for us.

 ### 15. Their software proves to be plagued with significant issues

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Electronics | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

The most significant upside is having video recordings and dictation all in one place.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

This company's performance has been highly unsatisfactory, ranking it among the worst in my experience. Despite assuring us of free SMS to Canada and USA during the duration of our contract, they abruptly began charging us. Obtaining the promised services has been an ongoing battle, as their sales team initially made extravagant promises. The presence of hidden fees adds to the complications, making it financially burdensome. Communicating with their customer service is nothing short of a mockery. I endured a 30-minute wait on hold, only to be neglected by the agent, who failed to check in with me even once. When attempting to cancel our services, we were merely transferred to an answering machine, further exemplifying their lack of commitment to customer satisfaction.

Their software proves to be plagued with significant issues, particularly for medium-sized contact centers. Multiple contacts with the same number can be created, resulting in chaotic and disorganized records. Merging these contacts is not an option, and there is no functionality to add a number to a Do Not Call (DNC) list. Furthermore, managing multiple contact centers becomes an arduous task due to the absence of a consolidated view, forcing users to navigate between multiple screens to access queues. Timekeeping for agents is also disorganized, with a messy system that requires additional upsells to another company, incurring an extra charge of $30 per seat. Real-time statistics per agent are inaccessible, as generating a report necessitates a 24-hour wait. The software's numerous flaws, such as these, contribute to daily frustrations and difficulties. It is evident that the software is being developed by individuals lacking firsthand experience in call center management.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Transitioning from a non-AI system like Vici, we initially appreciated the benefits offered by the inclusion of moments, screen grabs, and dictation. However, the positive aspects are overshadowed by the persistent problems we encounter on a daily basis. Regrettably, our system has devolved into a convoluted web of temporary solutions due to the absence of fundamental features that should be considered standard in any competent system.

 ### 16. Dialpad working in Call Center

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Darian L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

It allows me to view calls in transript.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Drops calls, doesn't ring sometimes for incoming, shows missed calls that are not there when you click on it.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

n/a

 ### 17. They practice horrendous business ethics

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Garrett O. | Board Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

the product is good... lacks some flexibility with integrations and has a delay, but overall the product is solid.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

They are charging us more than double what we need. We are paying more than 10x what we originally signed a contract for. They lied to us when they told us they would downgrade the number of users to the actual number of users we have. They keep increasing the price on us, have verbally told us that they are going to level out our account to the appropriate pricing tier/# of users, then they go dark and pass you to someone else. A nightmare to work with. Stay far away.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VOIP/SMS for our team to connect with customers.

 ### 18. Lots of features, too complex for small businesses.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 03, 2023

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

Lots of configuration options on how to setup your lines, but its pretty complex and expensive for a small business.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Expensive, requires 3-seat minimum.
Everyone has to have a unique phone number.
No shared address book across phone numbers.
AI transcription is wildly inaccurate.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Small business phone system.

 ### 19. This company is dangerous and potential fraud

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Djordje N. | Founder and CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

The service they offer seems ok, i think the product it self is ok, but the people behind it are most likely doing fraud with their sales and false charging cards whenever they feel like it.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

I dislike all. I have created an account with dialpad for my business. We used a free trial to see what the products are like etc. We liked it. But since we did not need it atthe time we said we will probably make a purchase later once we started with the work. But these scammers behind this company, after the free trial tried to charge my card for 350 USD??? Even though, even if we used their service our subscription would be 30-35usd per month (I guess they tried to charge me with a yearly subscription). My partner sent them an email telling them not to charge us, because we won't start using the service yet, and expressed concern about them trying to charge USD! They apologized and said they will stop, and they did not know why that happened. From that day Saturday 19th of November up until today 9th of December they have tried to charge my card for 35 USD 65 times!!!!!! 65 times!!!! Even though we sent multiple emails, and some guy Angus with who we communicated said it is handled and it won't be happening anymore, it still kept happening. Luckily I have my card for free trials empty just for these cases. But my bank charged me for each of their attempts 0.4 USD which came up to 26 USD for what??? For them trying to steal money off of my account! I can't understand any business that is doing this and they can't be trusted. I was sure we will use their service (as I said I think it is ok), but doing something like this completely destroys any trust. I believe they try to lure people in with a free subscription, and then just charge you after that right away, no matter if you want to use them or not. But ok, that is one kind of scam. But trying to charge someone's card 65 times after they have complained about this and you said it is resolved, this is something that I have never ever seen I'm my life, and believe it is a crime! not once, twice, 3 times, or five times, 65 times!!!! It is disgrace and someone should take responsibility for this, but since they are scammers, I believe no one really cares about this review. Be very careful if ever considering using this company's services, especially giving them your credit card information!

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. I have explained all in the previous message, and I won't be adding anything to this. I hope someone sues them or something. Because these types of activities are not legal and they should be punished.

 ### 20. Go elsewhere. Save yourself money and the headache.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

The AI analytics can be extremely helpful for our sales and customer service team.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Their billing policies are HORRENDOUS. They have a no refund policy, but will add in additional charges for their services during the duration of the contract which has left us hung over a barrel.

Customer support will often take 5-7 days for a resolution due to internal escalation vs the complexity of the problems. The app glitches non-stop, and there are very few native integrations.

Go with another company that's tried and true like RingCentral or Zoom. Either way, you end up paying the same cost. But with the certainty and help of a real company.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They're a VOIP software.

 ### 21. TERRIBLE APP DO NOT SWITCH

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyx P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

I like the idea of the program. It sounds great, but it does not work like it is supposed to.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

The app is terrible! It is buggy, it doesnt notify you if there is a call. I have spoken to support about this and no one has an answer. This was the worst desision we have made. The idea of it is great, but it is just not ready to be used .

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is not

 ### 22. not recommendable

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Glenda M. | Costumer Experience Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

It has too many issues with the Spanish version

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

I dislike they ask you to create reviews for a gift card, and once completed, they deny it, just like G2

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Spanish scripts iam guessing they are conducting more tests before its updated. Also, the ringtones

 ### 23. Changed pricing mid contract

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gene K. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

They used to be an ok service for a decent value. But their value has dropped with high taxes (not covered in the base fees). Just doesnt have the same value as it did nefore.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Dialpad changed the rates for customers mid contract. I had a one year contract paid upfront and then they are trying to charge me for texting that I've already paid for.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

phone calls and texting.

 ### 24. Fairly terrible audio/video quality.

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael R. C. | Managing Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

Integrations were fairly easy to utilize.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

We had very poor quality meetings. Never could get the quality addressed.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Video quality was terrible and audio was not much better

 ### 25. Inconsistent Support with no resolution

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

I like the AI transcription of the calls and the ability to switch devices within the platform.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

The product seems very immature as I have called for the same issue several times and have received a different answer and resolution each time. I raise this complaint each time and there is no follow-up or attempt to resolve my issues. I was also sold on the highest package with all the bells and whistles with no clear guidance on what was included with the package I selected.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They were able to provide transcripts and call recordings, which are standard for this business. This was helpful for QA, as the business was more manageable.

 ### 26. Billing and Support Chat

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

Call Center, ability to use the app on mobile

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Billing is needlessly confusing and inflexible. Support Chat seems to get confused often, this has caused increases in our yearly contract.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A Call Center, but there are lots of applications that offer Call Centers

 ### 27. System is fine, terrible policies

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

Lots of great features and integrations.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Sales process and treatment by sales team - their AE failed to properly conduct discovery in our initial calls, and their SE said not a word. One question from either of them would have surfaced an issue that would have prevented us from moving forward, but they knew if they got us to sign a contract they would never, ever let us out of it for any reason, so they were happy to push forward. When we tried to set it up four days before the contract started, we figured out the problem (which they claim is an issue with Outreach, not Dialpad, and they could not have known about it- even though they also integrate with Outreach internally and so are claiming to not know the ins and outs of a product they claim they know) and since the contract had not started yet, there was no reason they could not cancel it. They instead pointed us to tech support- we went through that with Outreach and Dialpad and both sides said "this will not work for your instance", HOWEVER they still would not void our contract. Instead they insisted on getting on a call with me to yell at ME- they did this TWICE. The second time was the single worst interaction I have ever had with a sales team. I did some digging with previous AEs who reported that they never, ever let anyone out of a contract, will always try to blame the customer for everything. They tried to work out a way to get us to expand our contract even further as a solution- why would we want to pay even more to such a horrible company and continue communication with them? Why would they want to keep an unhappy customer? What sort of backwards sales policies are these? I've never seen a company so hell-bent on being awful to a customer just to make a small fee.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing incoming calls in a distributed company, integrating with Outreach, marketing analytics, SDR training were all items we wanted to solve. Unfortunately, it won't work out.

 ### 31. Highly Problematic

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

The texting capabilities. That's about it.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

- Our team regularly have issues with calls not ringing to certain members requiring us to contact Support and have settings reset on the back-end
- The statistics are useless because calls that bounce to another team member are counted as missed calls
- Calls bounce way too quickly between staff members
- Pressing "1" to answer while on mobile often results in a bounced call or calls going to VM because the system doesn't give you enough time to press "1"
- Our end-users find their experience confusing and frustrating
- No option for callers to press a key to request a callback.
- We are going to have to move our phone system to ZenDesk Talk because we cannot integrate Dialpad with ZenDesk without disabling our IP restrictions in ZenDesk. Our company is required to remain HIPAA-compliant, and the only way to do that while using ZenDesk as our CS platform is to have IP restrictions in place. Dialpad does not use static IPs, therefore we cannot put the Dialpad IPs on our allowlist in ZenDesk, and therefore, we cannot integrate the two.
- When we contacted DIalpad support to figure out why we couldn't integrate the two platforms, it took Dialpad support two whole weeks to figure out this was our issue, yet support also stated that they are seeing this frequently. If it's a frequent problem for your users, maybe figure out a way to make it happen? Or at least train your staff to include questions about IP restrictions in ZenDesk on tickets regarding help integrating the two platforms so that it doesn't waste two entire weeks of your customers' productivity simply to identify the issue?

**Recommendations to others considering Dialpad Connect:**

Don't.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None, Dialpad has created more problems for our team than it has resolved.

 ### 32. Frustrated with integrations and functions.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

I like the new ability to schedule reports.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

The integration with Zendesk is the least comprehensive integration I've worked with. We cannot have a ticket automatically pop to a customer profile unless we have that customer contact information added as a contact in Dialpad, but you don't allow for syncing or bulk imports of customer contact information. Who's going to add all of that manually?

Routing and administrative changes are saved automatically. This causes issues as when I need to review some prerecorded messages I have to make the change live just to hear it.

Reporting can be more comprehensive. When I have a report sent to me, very rarely does this look like an easy-to-read report. Instead, it looks like a developer just dumped system data in a spreadsheet. Not every one running these reports has backgrounds in working with this data, so it's almost useless to regular call center management.

Administration options within Dialpad are not anywhere near good enough. I can't allow for any more than 15 minutes after call time? I can't set custom hours or multiple days in a holiday? What if we shut down our live channels for 2 weeks as we do? I had to make 14 holidays for Christmas break. I also should be able to forward calls off-platform in the IVR. What if we have a sales department that ends up using a different platform? There is no way to just press 2 and forward the call off of Dialpad!

Also, I just learned that outbound calls made by our support agents that don't select a call center to make the call on aren't recorded! Why is there not a company-wide record option! Further to that, if I want to know how something works, I have to do a deep dive into your KB. There should at least be tool-tips throughout the administration panel just giving a heads up about how it affects customer experience, routing, reporting etc. AT LEAST point people to the tutorial or information pages about that feature!

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We moved to this platform because our sales team was moving here and we share an inbound number. That process was a nightmare in itself (number ported without warning or plan!).
Essentially we're looking for clean reporting, shared logins/licenses, and clean integration with Zendesk. None of this was acheived. We were told this was possible from the start, and my work life has been applying digital duct tape to this platform ever since.

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

Nothing is helpful on this platform so I cannot name 1 good thing

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Calls drop everyday ALL day. Audio disconnects mid calls. Theres always a delay in the voice. Causing us to come off as rude becuase they think we are interrupting them. Misses calls if not staring at the DP screen. Get in trouble with leadership for being offline when we have no idea why we were logged off!!!

**Reviewed by:** Adam C. | Owner/Managing Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2020

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

For premium you can set a custom phone number, no dial in code. Too bad the calling feature doesn't work...

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

The customer service and product execution.

Calls constantly drop. I'm not even able to use the service that I pay for because the web app continues to crash. Every time I enter a room with an international caller we drop off in 30 seconds. Rinse, wash, repeat.

To fix the problem, Dialpad wants to install a program to my computer to review my network. This is quite invasive for web application.

**Recommendations to others considering Dialpad Connect:**

Find another service

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None, call services don't work

 ### 37. Was once King of the Hill, now the Prince of Garbage.

**Reviewed by:** Steven G. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2019

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

I like that Dialpad's interface is clean, efficient, and supports inline texting. The control panel is fairly easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Most critical issue first: The quality and reliability of the app has PLUMMETED in the past 6 months. You'd think the massive amount of capital they raised would to to improving their base product but they keep expanding feature set without bolstering the core experience. I have 8 staff in 7 states (to rule out specific, location-related issues). On any given day 2-3 of us have some sort of problem with Dialpad, whether it's compromised audio, calls not ringing through to extensions, audio not working at all, or the app crashing unexpectedly - often mid-call.

Along with their rapid expansion and un-needed superfluous features came a drastic reduction in support response time and quality; it's basically just "wait until they fix something in an update" but the udpates continue to add features without making the core product better.

For now, this is marked as "AVOID."

**Recommendations to others considering Dialpad Connect:**

Be aware that it's nice when it works, but completely unreliable in its current state.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It used to give us an edge by being the first company with an easily deployable multi-platform softphone in the days where everyone else led with physical equipment. Now, they're an overfunded startup trying to do too much with all the money they got.

 ### 38. Subpar customer support

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

Love the tech.
Mobile is great.
Salesforce integration is great.
Would definitely recommend based on tech...but only if you buy your numbers straight from dialpad. DO NOT PORT DO NOT PORT DO NOT PORT.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

DO NOT PORT NUMBERS FORM EXISTING CARRIERS!!

SERIOUSLY...DON'T.

Dialpad's tech and marketing talk a big game, and the tech delivers about 95% of the time. But support is awful. The customer success associates are not well informed, slow to answer, and are generally answering questions based on scripts that are haphazardly written.

You will get the impression that customer support either:
1. Did not read your question/email in it's entirety
2. Does not understand Dialpad's processes
3. Has never been in a customer support role ahead of this one
4. Might not have a grasp on the English language, and may just be copying and pasting 90% of their responses to you
5. They are absolutely overloaded and just can't devote more than 20 seconds to your email.

We were super excited to work with Dialpad, but the customer support experience is killing that excitement quite thoroughly. We're a new customer (less than 3 months here) - this should be the honeymoon phase of the relationship, but after nearly 100 emails back and forth between my team and customer support, we're pretty much done.

**Recommendations to others considering Dialpad Connect:**

DO NOT PORT YOUR NUMBER FROM AN EXISTING CARRIER.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great integration between DIalpad and Salesforce means out sales and support teams have the tech they need to do their jobs well.

 ### 39. It's unreliable

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

That I can easily record calls and share the link

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

It's technically unreliable. I often experience, drop out, delays and today, after only a few minutes of conversation, suddenly my client and I could no longer hear each other. We ended up having to abandon the call and switch to Zoom. I feel very disappointed.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

There is not much I like about Uber Conference, and despite Zoom having security issues, it still has better audio and video quality.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have stopped using Uber Conference and switched to Zoom

 ### 41. Dialpad is a fantastic idea but a terrible product

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel Y. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

Great idea - I love being able to switch back and forth between my phone and computer to work with contractors. I use it many times a day. But it is the flakiest, buggiest, most poorly implemented piece of software I have ever used.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Dialpad is the flakiest piece of junk... it constantly surprises me with new ways of failing. I don't get notifications of a call, or I'll get a notification of a call that I then can't answer, or I'll have to place a call 5 times before it will go through. I'll get a voicemail notification 3 days after it was left. Texts sometimes come through garbled, or in the wrong characters - one of my co-workers gets text from one person only in Chinese characters. The person sending them does not speak Chinese, and google translate can't get any meaning from them. I've also had calls to me randomly redirected to someone else's voicemail. (Apparently a woman speaking French.)

**Recommendations to others considering Dialpad Connect:**

Great idea, hopefully it will tighten up and become more usable in the very near future... if it becomes more robust I would happily recommend it to everyone, but as it is I would hesitate to recommend Dialpad at all.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am an Operations Manager working with a team of about 40 independent contractors and employees. We communicate tasks and project updates through many different channels, which are all searchable after the fact, except phone calls. When you're used to being able to read old emails and texts, getting back into the habit of taking notes from phone calls can be difficult - we are hoping that DialPad VoiceAI will make this seamless and allow for us to stay more on top of the game with keeping track of what has and has not yet been communicated.

 ### 42. Dialpad is the worst purchase I've made as a business owner!

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Craig B. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

There is nothing I can say good about DIalpad.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Dialpad could improve by firing everyone who answers a phone there and replacing them with test monkeys too dumb to be considered for cancer experiments...any primate with thumbs would be a considerable improvement.

I've used their service for four or five months and every call to the so-called support team was a terrible experience. They are rude at the highest levels of that company.

I paid for two lines at the annual rate and decided to find a different company after being disrespected repeatedly for asking simple questions about their poorly designed software. Since paying for the year in advance, one might expect a refund for the cancelled months, right? From a reputable company, yes. From Dialpad? That would be a no!

When you ignore this review and buy the service anyway, don't expect a refund when you've had enough of the snarky remarks and passive aggressive comments from the children manning the phones over at Dialpad. This is because company policy only allows refunds to be given to those purchasing the month-to-month plans. However, they will do you a solid and escalate your refund request to a supervisor who will never get back to you with a definitive no. You'll figure it out when nothing happens.

So, unless you enjoy being treated like a nuisance for not waking up the day after your purchase and having all the knowledge necessary to get the most from their service, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Trust me, spend your money elsewhere.

**Recommendations to others considering Dialpad Connect:**

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! There is too much competition in the marketplace to waste your time and money with Dialpad.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting rid of Dialpad eliminates the daily aggravation of paying someone for their constant disrespect.

 ### 43. Dialpad

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

I enjoy the phone integration well as the desktop integration when its working

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

More than once a day, the screen will go white and and we cannot answer calls

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More than once a day, the screen will go white and and we cannot answer calls

 ### 44. Clunky User Interface

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2019

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

browser based, but that created other challenges

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

We were a part of the "beta" video roll-out. It just wasn't a great user interface, was incredibly clunky and not intuitive.
We used it for both internal calls (we are a distributed team) as well as for calls with clients. If you have an existing call that is back-to-back with another, the next caller can join - there is no message to wait for your call to begin, etc. It's very awkward when your on a call with a client that is running over and your next meeting joins.
I'm not sure if it was because the video was still in early release, or if it was just an overall bandwidth issue, but it was really challenging at times - lots of garbled calls.

Lastly, we had several situations where it would pull the wrong user name. If someone was dialing in, instead of allowing the user to type his/her name, it pulled it via the number. On several occasions, it pulled the name of a person that was no longer with the company. Likewise, if you're logging in with your LinkedIn profile, it pulled a title that wasn't necessarily your current title on LinkedIn. We could not figure out why or how it was doing that.

**Recommendations to others considering Dialpad Connect:**

Look at other tools like Zoom!

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having video was great for a distributed team, but we moved to a more predictable and stable tool.

 ### 45. It will do, its apparantly the only option

 ### 46. Great on the surface, but not reliable for a large volume calls

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kassy g. | CRM made easy for attorneys, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

I like having the ability to send texts, and being able to see who answered each call, transferring calls and being able to see who's actively on the phone.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

I dislike, the set-up, the lack of live customer service, the amount of all the dropped calls, the poor quality of the calls, the lag in answering each call and the app is not reliable to take calls from.

**Recommendations to others considering Dialpad Connect:**

I'm not sure where to start with suggestions because their system is not reliable overall I'm not satisfied with the quality of the calls, but a couple added features like text reminders would be nice or if it could integrate with Clio.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it primarily on our desktop or laptop computers, but it also makes working on your computer and answering calls. It freezes up my computer often and I miss a lot of calls because of the lag in the application.

 ### 47. Too many bugs, average reporting, and not set up for international offices

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

I like that it is simple and mostly works.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

There are so many things I dislike I don't even know where to start.
1. Their support hours are poor which basically makes them useless in Australia.
2. There are too many bugs. Trying to get reports is just a pain, either the wrong data is sent, or no data appears.
3. Online help centre is a joke.
4. We've had so many issues with calls just not connecting that we stopped bothering with tickets (atleast 12 tickets)

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We switched from another system and while the audio quality is better, everything else is worse.

 ### 48. Lowest cost with no support

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanjay C. | Chief Technology Officer, Medical Devices, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

Call voice quality is good so it feels as if you are calling from a landline.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

Dialpad has a difficult-to-use interface. Dialpad has no live chat or phone help. If you do not want to struggle with setting up, I suggest going for higher-cost vendors. Calls take too long to connect. This will cost you in the calling person's time.

**Recommendations to others considering Dialpad Connect:**

Make the interface very intuitive to use - a redesign with a focus on the customer is required. Live support is required. Uber conference is added - I don't know why I am shown this option.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No live help

 ### 49. Not the best product

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

I like that I can answer and text customers all from one desktop console or phone app. All the messages are mostly organized and I can look back fairly easily.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

I don't like the call quality; I was always speaking having to wait for the customer's response because there was a delay, and for a professional product I think that shouldn't be an issue. I have that quality on a free app. The UI is also not my favorite; I wish it was a more airy minimal design.

**What problems is Dialpad Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits:
We've been able to communicate with customers fairly easily and have a dedicated phone number they can call to Dialpad.
The texting option is great and makes communication on small things so much faster.

Problems:
Quality of call
UI isn't the most intuitive
Although every call is in a log, the log gets messy and it's easy to get calls mixed up.

 ### 50. Desperately searching for a new alternative

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2018

**What do you like best about Dialpad Connect?**

I like the chat feature and the number masking feature when they work. This app is super glitchy, and the updates aren't helping. Not to mention it's expensive for something that doesn't work properly. Our company hates it.

**What do you dislike about Dialpad Connect?**

My biggest grievances are as follows:
-when I receive a call I sometimes, most times, cannot get it to transfer it to my cell phone and it almost always fails when I click “switch to this device”
-when placing a call sometimes it dials right away and sometimes it masks number. The extra click to dial another number after I’ve put in the number is very frustrating because it’s not consistent.
-call quality is pretty low and calls drop frequently. Most people say they cannot hear me and I’m speaking no differently if I were talking in my own cell phone.
-Messages that are sent from my cell phone appear twice to recipients on the computer and with a lag.
-messages sent to and from computer come with a lag, coworkers and I tested it sitting next to each other.
