The large number of options and the successful implementation of UML stereotypes allow DIA to be a very complete software. In addition to being multiplatform and open source, DIA allows streamlining and digitizing the flow of information between customers, systems analysts and programmers. **What do you dislike about Dia diagram editor?** In terms of aesthetics, DIA leaves much to be desired, despite being very easy to use, the finished diagrams are not as aesthetic as one might think. **What problems is Dia diagram editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** DIA has allowed me to digitize UML diagrams, as well as logical database models, thus allowing the exact and correct documentation of my systems, thus being able to evaluate their traceability. ### 2. This tool is free and multi platform also has several years of development so the application is very stable and does not need to remain pending to keep our projects continuously for fear of losing data. **What do you dislike about Dia diagram editor?** The application does not receive updates very often so it could be left behind with respect to other newer applications that work in the cloud directly. The interface is very old and the icons have very low resolution, it does not have support for screen resolutions higher than 1080p so that users of large and Ultra wide monitors could have problems. **Recommendations to others considering Dia diagram editor:** I recommend using DIA to programmers who need a simple application to create the flow diagrams of their applications or programming projects and looking for an application without additional license cost. **What problems is Dia diagram editor solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use the application to create the flow diagrams of my applications because DIA is free, works in linux and stable. In addition, the simplicity of the application allows me to create the diagrams very quickly in order to start creating my code without losing time. It is typically used when one cannot afford the Microsoft Visio application. **What do you dislike about Dia diagram editor?** Sometimes it can be a bit simple compared to Microsoft's Visio application, which, although paid, has a much more professional aesthetic and is also more functional than Dia, but as I have mentioned before, it is paid. **Recommendations to others considering Dia diagram editor:** Download it, since it is a free application, you can simply try it and see if it can be useful for your diagram representations. In my experience, the application works wonderfully for me and is completely effective, it has never given me any kind of problem. I enjoy that this software can get to be very versatile because I can use it for many job tasks: I use it in order to create simple but catchy signs that give people instructions for reunions and parties. I can also use it to make nice charts with many purposes, such as a flowchart that allows to record processes for anything. Finally, I can even use Dia Diagram for making stickers for many different purposes. **What do you dislike about Dia diagram editor?** One of its best features can be also its worst, and that is that the software is really simple. What I mean to say is that the software is very helpful and easy to use for stickers and some other purposes. Nonetheless, when it comes the time to create a complex chart or image, then Dia Diagram won´t be so useful because the images look very simplistic, and also there aren´t many features to create charts. This is the only flaw I can find. **Recommendations to others considering Dia diagram editor:** You´ll be able to make simple graphics and charts with Dia Diagram.
