DevGhost is a Git analytics tool for engineering leaders who need to understand the contributions of teams and contractors. It analyzes code changes and estimates development effort against a fixed baseline: a mid-level developer who knows the project and works without AI. This provides a consistent reference for reviewing delivered work across contributors and time periods. Teams can replay development history, filter by period and participant, merge Git identities, exclude bots, and export reports to PDF, Excel, or JSON. These views support engineering analytics and developer productivity discussions grounded in Git changes. DevGhost is available as SaaS, fully local analysis in VS Code and Cursor, and On-Prem deployment within the customer's infrastructure. Local IDE analysis keeps code and results on the device. Stable IDE versions support Windows x64 and macOS on Intel and Apple Silicon, with 21 interface languages. Ghost% is an effort comparison metric, not an AI detector, a record of actual working hours, or a measure of code quality. Local analysis includes 500 new commits free each calendar month, with optional one-time credit packs whose purchased credits do not expire.
