"Best support in the business"
5/5
What do you like best about DevExpress?

While I use their awesome tools for C# wpf development, and they save me hours and hours of time, the really outstanding aspect of DevExpress is the support they provide. Responses to questions are always very thorough and typically include a code snippet they wrote to illustrate the solution. In many cases they provide a zipped project to illustrate the solution. Occasionally I have even received a video illustrating how to proceed! Who else does that?

My favorite tool is the DataGrid/GridControl but another time saver is the Report Designer (especially when doing labels.) The theme manager works well with fewer idiosyncracies than Microsoft themed controls. Upgrades from one version to the next is pretty painless so you can keep up to date.

After 10 years with this product I would not consider development without it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

There is a boatload of .dlls but that has more to do with Microsoft's architectural vision than DevExpress itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DevExpress?

Not only have they some of the best components in the business and/or some unique products like XAF, they also support their users above and beyond one would expect from a support desk. Highly recommended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

Not really that much, becoming spoiled is the greatest risk. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A decade of DevExpress using different platofrms"

What do you like best about DevExpress?

Quality Components that look consistant. New features are always being added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

Some of the examples add a lot of div tags and CSS. The main reason I like DevExpress is so I don't have to worry about CSS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DevExpress is simply the best"
5/5
What do you like best about DevExpress?

I am a long time user of DevExpress and love their products and support. Their support is a bar none the best I've encountered. In most cases, they will create a sample to demonstrate the solution. Support is quick and onpoint and it is the reason I renew my subscription year after year. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

Nothing. I love everything about DevExpress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I have been developing .NET applications with DevExpress for the past ten years."
4.5/5
What do you like best about DevExpress?

There are a lot of useful features that I found in DevExpress:

1. You can drag and drop tools for desktop and web pages

2. Data grid is one of the best features in Devexpress, with plenty of options in the data grid.

3. DevExpress Reporting module is by far the best among different software available in the market.

4. Intelli sense provided by DevExpess is also helpful for developers.

and many more benefits... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

Nothing to dislike about the software which is why I am using this for the last ten years but the cost of the product is matters for some companies. Sometime CodeRush makes VisualStudio performance slow. Other then that there is no issue and I would recommend everyone the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Toolkit for ASP.NET Development"
4.5/5
What do you like best about DevExpress?

My favorite part of DevExpress is the enhanced .NET controls they offer. For example, one project I worked on used ASP.NET Web Forms. Using DevExpress controls in place of the default .NET controls made the development of that project significantly faster and easier. Enhanced validation options, easy integration of CSS styling, and the ease of getting values from the controls in JavaScript are just a few of the benefits that made DevExpress controls a big upgrade. I recommend that everyone working with .NET projects give DevExpress a try. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DevExpress?

I can only think of one thing that I dislike, which is relatively minor. My dislike centers around the JavaScript libraries necessary for DevExpress components to work. DevExpress offers the option to include necessary JavaScript libraries automatically, but conflicts can occur if you use a different version of any of the libraries on your site. For example, the Web Document Viewer requires knockout.js. The automatic import of that library can conflict with manual integrations of knockout.js. However, this is easy to work around and DevExpress offers excellent documentation and customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
