## DevExpress Reviews
  ### 1. Build the web app you dream with the DX components and competent, service-minded, reliable support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John F. | Founder, CEO of Payconer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

I am developing a complex application for the conTech industry and I love the confidence the whole suite gives me. My vision is powered by a comprehensive set of enterprise feature-rich components and a competent, service-minded, and reliable support team.

If I post a support ticket, I know I will get an answer with solutions in hours not days. The answers come with a solution and a context explanation when it is needed.

The React components offer a comprehensive set of props and events we can subscribe to for achieving highly advanced functionality and interactivity. All the components can be integrated as part of a whole because the architecture is one. Specifically, I use the DataGrid to handle all the project data and the TreeList to handle hierarchical construction data such as bill of materials, unit cost assemblies, etc.

The components look great right from the start with minimal configuration. And you can enhance the look and feel of your web app easily with CSS customizations and props modification.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

I think the documentation lacks more use cases, which I find in the support tickets. I think they can do better by integrating the documentation and the support history.
There are some components like the Slider that lack some basic features such as adding labels at each step and span.
And I think they can also improve the documentation of the data layer. It is all there but spread in data components (DataSource, etc) and component props. It would be great if you have a diagram with the data flow. Something like edit button click -> onEditStart -> Validation -> Promise -> Reload, etc.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DevExpress helps us develop complex data collection, storing and analysis features for our web app in the conTech SaaS industry. We take advantage of almost all the components such as form, selectbox, button, popup, charts, etc. Specially, we use and extend the native DataGrid and TreeList components to accomplish complex construction data tasks such as creating and maintaining unit cost assemblies. We also take advantage of the pivotgrid to perform advanced data analytics like the beloved Excel PivotTable!

The DataGrid and TreeList grids offer customizable grid cells to include calculations, conditional formatting, sparklines or other embedded controls.

  ### 2. Perfect Controls and Support

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Winform tools helps me to build unique User Interfaces.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Blazor controls not yet real mature to be used without the need of third parties componenents

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Composite business like Shipping Companies needs. It helps me to build an entire ERP system for both Office and Vessels

  ### 3. Greatest .NET-Control-Library

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin I. | Senior Software Engineer / Team Leader

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Great framework where you can control and customize nearly everything. But the best; if you need help, there is a great support team that helps you quickly and professionally.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

I work since about ten years with DevExpress-controls, but I have no idea what to write in this section. I'm fully happy.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using their framework called "XAF". And the most significant benefit is, that I have a very fast-build application and don't have to think about standard functions like all CRUD operations, double-click-events, GUI design and much more. I can focus on my own relevant custom functions.

  ### 4. Great controls and support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Been using the controls for over 20 years and they keep improving and supporting even the older legacy stuff. Controls are feature rich and save you a lot of development time.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Getting up and running can take some time, and sometimes features are a bit hidden. But support generally can help you find what you are looking for.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Speeds up development time by providing the web controls and features we need. Helping simplify the process of migrating from .NET to .NET Core by running controls side by side as we progress.

  ### 5. Why DevExpress?

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

DevExpress controls have helped me to streamline my software development. With DevExpress I am able to cut the development cycle considerably. And they look good too!

It's not possible for me to say something negative about a product that has affected my life in such a positive way.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before I had DevExpress, I spent too many hours developing due to the limitations of the standard controls. DevExpress is made by developers for developers.

**Reviewed by:** Antony Joseph A. | Delivery Manager

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The features they provide range from product to product, and the superb support team.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

The support team doesn't respond on weekends and holidays. Especially for the clients like us from the other side of the Globe, it is difficult to wait for the US holidays to be over.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Development Frameworks and the tools across different platforms and technologies help us to get into providing any kind of solution for our clients.

  ### 8. Never without DevExpress!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kıvanç E. | Lead Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

It speeds up our development time. Controls are excellent and easy to modify. Support is a good, usually answer we get and answer with in a day.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Answers were shared in a zip folder with a project sample. It was a little inconvenient to download, open and see the answer. The GitHub link is better to see with out downloading.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customizing control takes to much time to develop. DevExpress control suits our needs mostly with out any modification.

  ### 11. Pleased to find these controls.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff C. | IT Director

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2023

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

At this point, the grid, reports, and file manipulation. The support is second to none.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

It took me a while to figure out how to set up the controls using online documentation.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using the grids and reports in a web application to print work orders on the plant floor without having a desktop application. Cut 20 hours per week.

  ### 12. I use DevExpress components daily to deliver great solutions to my clients

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Haven't found any downsides yet in the five years I'm using their products

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DevExpress components allow me to quickly build stunning solutions. They look great because of skin support and they add relevant functionality over standard components.

  ### 13. Been using with WinForms for 10+ years, Will continue to use in future technologies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Printing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 11, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The DevExpress Winforms package has been serving us so well for over 10 years now. I have been able to accomplish more in less time than I ever could using standard .NET controls. The support is top-notch. They are always there to help with issues or to provide ideas on how to accomplish your tasks with their controls. Our users love some of the capabilities of their controls, like the GridControl. I will continue to trust DevExpress when it is time to move on from WinForms, but we have no plans to do so anytime soon.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

There are occasional issues with new versions, but they are often unique. They are generally quick to fix these issues but it usually takes a week or two to receive the updated package.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DevExpress solves a lot of issues, like how to easily implement the latest technologies and UI elements easily that .NET doesn't offer. The controls are easy to use with a little reading of their excellent help system and knowledgebase.

  ### 14. Good

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Masato U. | Consultunt, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 21, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

I love the eXpressApp Framework (XAF) among DevExpress products. This framework allows us to quickly build business applications for small and medium-sized businesses.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

None in particular. Seems like a very viable option for .net app development

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The eXpressApp Framework (XAF) allows for flexible app development. It is positioned between low-code/no-code and full-scratch development, allowing us to respond to our clients' needs and to develop at a high speed.

  ### 16. Very robust and perfect solution for many use cases

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The product really works as expected, support is really fast and helpful. The components really added value to our product and users.
We did not used all available components yet but I'm sure we'll use more of them in the next months.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Nothing much we dislike here, the overall experience has been great.
The components are powerful so they'll require a bit of time reading documentation before beeing fully usable.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're mainly using DevExpress XtraReport but build a whole range of customized reportings for our users.
It is really a great benefit compared to what we used before that needed much more code writing...

  ### 17. Fantastic Product at a Great Price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yair S. | VP, Director of Technoloty, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The components are comprehensive and well designed. The Tech Support is second-to-none. The documentation is extensive.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

There is nothing to dislike. The learning curve can be a bit steep, but totally manageable.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used the React components to develop sophisticated, complex, mission-critical apps.

  ### 18. Devexpress excellent and useful tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haydar K. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

We are using especially datagrid, pivotgrid, chart, report, data editor tools on winform, web form and maui. They are very easy to use and we are winning a lot of time from develop time.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

There is nothing you don't like. We are using all of our projects

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For example, we were using Datagridview from visual studio tools, but it is too hard to filter data, to export data. Now, very easy.

  ### 19. Satisfied user

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johan E. | Application Developer

**Reviewed Date:** July 19, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

(Personal opinion and not that of the company)
Good and fast support.
Complete solutions for both Windows and Web platforms.
The XAF framework is a great way to get a good-looking functional system up and running. (I have mainly worked with Win Forms.)

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

As with any 3rd party tools, in some cases you have to follow the standard way of doing things and it could be hard getting things to look and function exactly as you would like.
With Blazor controls there is still some basic functionality missing.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Essentially DevExpress is providing us with a complete set of controls and functionalities. Allowing us to save time not having to develop these ourselves or search for other 3rd party packages.

  ### 20. DevExpress offers a wonderful toolkit for both WebForms and WinForms developers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephen W. | S, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The most helpful part about DevExpress is Customer Service with very timely answers to requests. Easy to use as well as very powerful.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

I haven't found anything to dislike about DevExpress and would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had to move from a tired old WinForms application developed for over 20 years with Delphi. Moving to ASP.NET with DevExpress was a challenge initially but due to the expansive tools and knowledgebase development has been surprisingly simple and cost effective.

  ### 21. DevExpress BI - Great Reports, OK Dashboards

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent P. | Senior Business Intelligence Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2021

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Report designer (banded reporting) is a mature product with a lot of flexibility and features available to the designing user who has some coding knowledge but may not be a full-fledged developer or have access to the development environment. The ability to add C# or VP scripts to reports in the end-user designer is very beneficial. Even without scripts, the designer is robust and filled with features that, when paired with a bit of creative experimentation, can deliver some reporting solutions that I did not think possible. In addition to the usual banded report features, the designer offers detailed report bands (subreports within the same report file), subreport objects (different report files linked via a single object), verticle report bands, and excellent manipulation of properties and behavior via "expressions" - no script needed. A PDF object which inserts PDF files into the report, a robust, albeit antiquated and user un-friendly, chart designer, and the scripting functionality for near-developer-level customizations are also very handy. The DevExpress support team is very knowledgeable and helpful once they understand your issue. In the US, responses are typically 24 hours apart. Don't expect "P1 Emergency" or phone support, but they will stick with you and solve your problem, including writing scripts and sample projects. Developers frequently help out on the support tickets. Finally, the cost and licensing model of DevExpress are very attractive, making it easy to integrate their products while keeping your own product costs and licensing fees reasonable.
The dashboard designer has excellent conditional formatting functionality. It is flexible and robust, albeit a little cumbersome when having to format many columns in a grid with multiple-conditions on each column.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Out of the box, the dashboard object is outdated. Most of the chart objects need a visual update, and some features are lagging behind competitors. You can register custom JS charts and such then wire them into the dashboard object, but this requires developer intervention for each object. A user/designer who only uses the "end-user dashboard designer" is stuck with the stock offering. The other area where dashboarding falls behind is the inability to manually relate multiple datasources (queries) to each other. Cross-datasource (ds) filtering is possible, but the columns used to join different ds's must have the same path. That's PATH, not just name. I.e. they must come from the same source, all the way back to the tables. Then, the objects being cross-ds filtered must contain the joining column, which can be a real pain if you're using GUIDs. E.g. a slicer/filter must contain the joining column in the slicer itself - not hidden, so you often have to use a Tree-format slicer, with the second level being the joining column and having to be ignored by the end user of the dashboard. The inability to include columns from different ds's or queries in the same chart, grid, etc. can also be quite frustrating. Finally, the end-user Dashboard and Report designers are both Winform apps, and if your products are web-based, there are some differences in behavior between the winforms objects and the web objects. DevEx says they should behave virtually the same, but that is not always the case.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We provide all dashboard and report solutions for our cloud-based inspection software using DevExpress exclusively, including internal (other business units) and external customers.

  ### 22. Great tool for website. Lots of different components you can use and combine.

I can't recall any at the moment, or didn't find it atleast for now.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

DevExpress offers components designed from the ground up, following industry standard design patterns and developper needs. The components integrate well with each other. They use the same patterns on each platform.

There is nothing I don't like about them.

Complex data-model designers never crash hang. Very intuitive and well-thought-out object models and XAF modules. Great support.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Nothing to report. XAF was/is a little complex to get started on, but that is to be expected for so much flexibility.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

XAF was a godsend for us as we transitioned from Salesforce. We were able to keep all our data and generate data transfer scrips/ssis packages relatively easy.

  ### 31. Best product packages and best support.

the delay in getting help 24 hours turn around isnt always helpful

  ### 33. Light Weight and compatibale for Web, Window and mobile

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

DevExpress Library has multiple methods to design any forms and their fields or controls quickly. We don't require any controls design placement because he auto-arranges if not assigned property.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Devexpress has a dx.all.js file, around 4 MB in size, and it contains all methods and properties. So if we require any light form and want to use the DevExpress method, then our actual page size with this JS is too heavy to load, and till now, we didn't get any way to reduce this js file.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the help of DevExpress, I can easily design any form and grid in less number of times so Azile methodology we can easily follow with DevExpress and also it any support query they update quickly.

  ### 34. Easy to use components for business applications

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2022

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Good support and documentation. Pretty stable components that are easy to use with a compact syntax.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

They use JavaScript behind-the-scenes of some Blazor components which makes other native Blazor components such as Radzen a better choice.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Rapid development of business applications using grids, drop-down lists etc.
Also used a component to manipulate pdf forms.

  ### 35. Steep learning curve at first, but now it's easy to work with.

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

POWER, Versatility, Online support, Online documentation.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Maybe its complexity, but that comes with power.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building elegant Windows desktop applications with an exemplary layout.

  ### 37. Devekspress XAF flexible platform for the rapid creation of business applications.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander K. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2021

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Very user-friendly UI Components, modern MVC architecture of the XAF, integration with the Visual Studio, and Designers customize the App with low-coding. The XAF API allowed us to implement additional business logic to develop our enterprise systems (EAM, MRP, ERP, HCM). We have been using XAF since the introduction of this product and are very happy with the high level of Documentation and Product Support.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

The XAF-Web Client was critical to us. Unfortunately, until 2020, the XAF-WebForm Client did not meet our requirements. But the good thing is that the XAF Architecture provides for the development of Add-ons. We developed the XAF-JS Client ourselves.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We develop replicable enterprise systems (ERP, EAM, MRP, CHM, CPM)
Using Devexpress XAF, we are very fast in prototyping applications and new modules. Our Systems turn out to be very user-friendly, with an excellent level of adaptation to the Customer. Users of our systems are pleased with the presence of flexible application settings.

  ### 38. Quick turnaround time and very helpful team from DevExpress Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin T. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2021

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

Ease of use of DevExpress product and most of their basic functionalities are described in their documentation. In the event that the descriptions are not clearly described, we usually write to DevExpress support team, and they usually provide replies within a day or two. The Support team members are also very experienced such that they are only not able to advise from a development point of view but also from the setup and infrastructure. They are also very helpful when it comes to resolving our issues, so long all the required details are provided to them to replicate the issue.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

Lack of documentation - most of the time our queries are answered based on references to tickets submitted by others on Support. There is also a lack of clear examples that go along with the documentation, so when we have to explore a new feature/tool in DevExpress, it makes things quite difficult trying to determine the pros and cons of each alternative and figuring out which of those will apply to our needs.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the past we used DevExpress for a desktop product. Recently we have to migrate that product to cloud, as such there was a need for us to explore Web Reporting. We realized that the out-of-the-box features were really easy to use, as most of the scenarios were taken care of for us. However the difficulties were basically in trying to figure out the limitations of things, as the documentations were lacking.

  ### 39. Amazing development tools with the best support available at the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin P. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2021

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The DevExpress Support Team is simply amazing - even complex inquiries are answered within an business day!

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

There is nothing to dislike - never faced any downsides!

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We create an ERP Software which needs to be fully customizable by endusers and consultants.

Using DevExpress Application Framework "XAF" was the right choice for us - as it is the most powerful framework out there.

Describing all benefits would go beyond scope here, but with XAF - with defining your business classes you get:

- Winforms, Blazor Application with one codebase
- Lots of built-in Modules (Validation / Conditional Appearance, Reporting / BI Dashboards, and a lot more)
- Security System out of the box
- Customizable Layouts (even at runtime)
- Fully extendable at runtime (create custom Members / customize the underlaying TypesInfo system, load additional Modules/Plugins)
- so much more...

  ### 40. Great Product / Great Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mark M. | Vice President Development / Conversion, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2021

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

With a small development team, DevExpress is essential to our success. DevExpress creates top-notch products that add advanced functionality to our products without building everything from scratch. They are constantly improving their products and adding new functionality.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

As with any software, we often find things that break between major versions, especially related to web products. Sometimes this comes from misunderstanding the original documentation, or sometimes it's just a bug. Either way, DevExpress's support team is always there to help.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are using many different DevExpress products, but the one we have used more than any other is the Data Grid. The Data Grid allows us to view / filter / edit / search data extremely efficiently.

  ### 41. After 16 years of use, it's easy to recommend DevExpress.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 07, 2021

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The quality of the WPF controls - which I use - is outstanding. In the past I have had to create custom controls (i.e. a multi-columned TreeView) in order to satisfy the requirements of our customers. Fortunately with DevExpress, this control already existed and it was easy to transform our flat custom data into hierarchical data, which can easily be consumed by the control.
I personally am unable to assess the quality of other suites (i.e. WinForms) but we do have another developer who uses that suite and I believe, apart from the odd support ticket, that person is more than happy.

What is really helpful is the demo which accompanies the product. This not only provides inspiration for new ideas (which you might not have previously considered) but also with the code so you can browse through it. In addition, you can open the demo projects in Visual Studio as well.

The support is outstanding – you either receive a code snippet providing a solution or, if you take the time and provide a sample project, you will most probably receive a modified version of your project back. Not only is the support outstanding, they are also friendly and have never given the impression that you should already know something or that you’re wasting their time. This cannot be stated enough.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

With regards to the MVVM framework: As soon as DevExpress added the POCO view models, I feared that this was the only option they were going to support going forward but it looks like the standard MVVM will always be supported. One downside that we have encountered is that the younger developers have seen the POCO view models and gone with that route which is fine, until they encounter issues and, having not fully understood what’s going on in the background (a lot of code is generated automatically) they sometimes struggle with the problem at hand. That however is not a fault of DevExpress, it has more to do with the fact that we ourselves have not laid our which way we want to use their framework.

One thing that I don’t like is the fact that the WPF Dashboard Viewer is not part of the WPF suite, you have to purchase a universal license for this.

**Recommendations to others considering DevExpress:**

There are obviously others who offer 3rd party products for the .NET environment and you should of course evaluate those before making a final decision but I cannot state how great the support at DevExpress is.
I have never received a “RTFM” comment (or anything similar).
The support is not only friendly, they will also offer you a solution for your problem. If you take the time to provide a sample then you will probably receive a solution where the problem has been solved.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have COBOL business logic and our customers were traditionally happy with two standard grids displaying the data (MasterDetail). Over time however, the requirements have changed (e.g. balance sheet data as well as profit and loss accounting) and we had to find a way to provide a more detailed way of displaying the data.

The TreeList control is what we were looking for: The taxonomy we use has numerous reporting areas, each with its root element and a varying number of child elements. We import the taxonomy and inject the customer data into the control so that the customer can see a much detailed representation of their data. The customers love the general look and feel.

  ### 42. The best 3rd party components suite I've worked ever

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lluis F. | S, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 16, 2021

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

The most I like are Desktop components, CodeRush, Reporting and Dashboard. And, of course, their excellent support team.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

New project and object templates. I prefer to start from scratch. Some Visual Studio extensions I need to disable (too many extensions enabled by default).

**Recommendations to others considering DevExpress:**

After more than 30 years of developing software, I've to say that DevExpress is the best 3rd party software I ever used. They cover all our development needs, instead of using different subscriptions.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our main project is a huge financial ERP. This project would be impossible to build without DevExpress components. These components allow us to build and test faster than ever.

  ### 43. Good experiance, with competent support team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2021

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

A very extensive and goood product suite with seriusly capable support team to back it up.

We recently had an issue where, in our software, the reporting engine failed.
DevExpress assisted in all possible ways, even so far as to reviewing our code and finding the issue.

The exchange was pleasant, very professional and always on topic.
We even found a minor improvement in the DevExpress ReportDesigner.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

On occasion, and only under certain circumstances, the components can bring overhead. But a multirole component can't be slim.

**Recommendations to others considering DevExpress:**

Depending on what you need, it's a very capable UI set.
Also very useful if you have a huge dataset, beacuse DevExpress is able to use ServerMode in their grid, loading the Data only when required.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have our product using the DevExpress WPF Suite, using controls, themes and the reporting engine.
Benefits are the simple to use yet powerful components that are provided.

For a new product like Blazor, take time to have essential features (grid ability to download)

**Recommendations to others considering DevExpress:**

What is the most important for me is the support, because when you start with a new framework, fast help is essential, and Devexpress is every time responding fast with sample code.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Very nice UI, Swiss reporting QR Code is beneficial

Devexpress is a great company, and all we need we can found in Devexpress. The support helped us all time we needed, and we didn't lose time.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

We use React in our solution, and not all components exist natively in this language.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We develop our Business Intelligence platform with DevExpress. They have the best UI for it.

  ### 47. Using DevExpress with Blazor and Reports

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | Director of Communications & Technology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2020

**What do you like best about DevExpress?**

DevExpress Ultimate provides the tools for the rapid development of applications. You can spend months trying to build your own components which may or may not work - or use one of the best in the industry and get your product into the market.

**What do you dislike about DevExpress?**

As for a component provider, they cover most of the bases needed. I think the only area that is slightly slower in terms of development is their Xamarin controls which could be a bit broader, but the ones they have are solid.

**Recommendations to others considering DevExpress:**

DevExpress provides one of the most comprehensive component suites for .Net development. Get the Ultimate subscription.

**What problems is DevExpress solving and how is that benefiting you?**

There are a lot of problems that DevExpress solves. Mainly getting applications developed and to users quicker than any other method.
