#develop (short for SharpDevelop) is a free IDE for C#, VB.NET and Boo projects on Microsoft&#39;s .NET platform. It is open-source, and you can download both sourcecode and executables from this site.

This is a great C# IDE and compiler for when you are writing small applications and don't want to open up the other more bloated IDEs

**What do you dislike about #develop?**

No complaints. It works great when you want to write a quick small application in C#.

**Recommendations to others considering #develop:**

It's a great tool when you need to write a small C# application quickly and without importing a lot of libraries.

**What problems is #develop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It compiles C# code fast.

**What do you like best about #develop?**

Very nice IDE for C#,F#,VB,ASP.NET. Great ease and design. Its the fastest lightweight developing tool for small applications.

**What do you dislike about #develop?**

Nothing to dislike. I have one suggestion need to add .net core so if anyone wants to develop a small application in .net core they do not need to switch ide.

**Recommendations to others considering #develop:**

If you want to make the simplest small application in C# then #develop is a great tool for you to develop and compile your application. it's a very fast and lightweight tool.

**What problems is #develop solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can compile my c# code much faster and develop my application using #Develop. we do not need to import lots of libraries in the small applications so it's a great tool for developing small applications in c#.
