The thing I like best about ODBC driver is in it a single application can access different databases.

While having its advantages , it is slow due to it access multiple databases...

**What problems is ODBC driver for Oracle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using ODBC for multiple applications while it reducing the cost for another databases to purchase for different applications.
