What do you like best about DeskTime?

It's been 4 years now, I am using desk time and I feel it best to track projects and productivity with the simple and easy-to-use UI, and great explanation of each term whenever needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DeskTime?

whenever it's down make sure the user gets notified or whenever it stops tracking for any reason notify the user immediately so that they will not lose their minutes/hours of work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ability to see what you were working on, and for how long, to establish billing times (automated time tracking)

Summaries of time spent in each open and active web page

The way you can forget about time tracking and still establish work times at a later date

Easy to set up and use

What do you dislike about DeskTime?

Slightly expensive

Some lack of detail on work tasks performed each hour, only shown by a time range in the daily view.

You can't easily choose an active web page and view precise times spent on it by time period or hours, it requires setting date ranges, etc. But this doesn't stop it being a great tool for a freelancer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about DeskTime?

I guess the screenshot feature - but I can get that at insightful for 2 dollars less at any frequency I want. And for 1 dollar less I can get screenshots on demad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about DeskTime?

Unlike other options on the market - you have to pay for the admin account ontop of the employee account.

I find that I have had to go turn on Desktime too, after it has somehow been disabled etc.

Our pricing and feature packages reflect that; we offer tracking features like Screenshots bundled with data reporting tools available to admin accounts to help you not only track but also analyze your employees’ working habits.

While we’re sorry to hear this approach doesn’t accommodate your budget, we hope this explains why we don’t offer certain features on demand.

As for your DeskTime app, by default, the app should launch automatically, but you can double-check if you have the “Launch on System Startup” option enabled by right-clicking on the DeskTime app icon > Preferences.

What do you like best about DeskTime?
