It's natively build on the ServiceNow platform, it uses ServiceNow tables and it is able to connect to all items within ServiceNow. This makes it very powerful. Most other diagram tools on the market are standalone, you draw your diagram once and there it is. there is no way of keeping it updated in an automated way, which is very well possible with the Designer.
