Customer support needs to improve problem-solving skill. The software doesn't run smoothly in a low configured workstation. The user interface needs to be improved. The software should not proceed with the next design steps if there is an error in sketching. The user interface is a little down as compared to solid works, so solid works is more user-friendly. 3D sketching is not available in the solid edge. As the integration helps with complete transparency and ease of doing work. It is a good computer aided software which performs 2D as well as 3D drawings and design. It is a polished software which runs very smoothly. It can handle large drawing files very capably without lag. It is faster and easier to design and draw parts, editing or rework is quite easily done. The integration of other Siemens products such as teamcenter allowed me as trainee to gain knowledge other industry leading application. **What do you dislike about Designcenter Solid Edge?** High skill is required as it is not user friendly as Siemens designed it for experienced operators, but you can get used to it in time. Exposure is low in students or freshers as most are unaware of the software and have no skill to use this software. The usability does not compare with other CAD software such as Catia and Solid Works. It is quite a costly software in comparison to the feature it contains. **Recommendations to others considering Designcenter Solid Edge:** If you manage a small or medium scale company or for personal use, I do not recommend this software as it is costly and much better with other software integrated with it.
