"Fantastic Tool for Handling Large Assemblies"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

Fantastic tool for large assemblies when other CAD softwares fail or close during the project, NX always keeps running. I have rarely seen NX crash like other software programs do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

More complex and less user friendly than some other CAD softwares that I have used (ie SolidWorks, Solid Edge) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Feature-Rich and Easy to Integrate with the Teamcenter Ecosystem"
4/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

The wide range of features, along with how easy it is to integrate with the Teamcenter ecosystem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Unfortunately, NX doesn’t have strong backward compatibility with Teamcenter, especially when it comes to integration. If your Teamcenter version is behind what NX supports, you often end up having to write custom scripts to make things work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust 3D Design with Intelligent Metadata for Streamlined Downstream Processes"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

It can create robust 3D designs and includes intelligent metadata that supports automated design while feeding downstream processes. Lots of features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

It does not support interoperability/import of .jt standard assembly files with PMI well in a managed Teamcenter > NX environment. Sometimes there are settings that are hard to find that can be the trick to fixing a tough issue you are dealing with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Siemens NX 12 CAD"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

It is simple to use and pretty quickly you are able to get the hang of modeling in Siemens NX 12 in the CAD environment. There is modeling, assembly, layouts, constraints, reference sets, arrangements and sequencing that help you better visualize your models within an assembly. It is a super simple implementation with SAP PLM environment and is used weekly if not on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

I don't really have a downside for siemens NX CAD other than that you are limited to what you can design because of licensing. There is a lot more potential for the CAD environment but depending on what your field/company needs that's all they'll buy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Integration and Usability with Designcenter NX"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I like the ease of use of Designcenter NX. I also appreciate how it's connected and integrated with Teamcenter, allowing me to work seamlessly in the design NX and save directly to Teamcenter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

Workflows need more details and out-of-the-box handlers. Include more interactions. A little more effort was required for the initial setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"USING NX CAD FOR PRODUCT TEMPLATE STUDIO for connector design"
5/5
What do you like best about Designcenter?

I am an engineering manager leading a 12-member team of product design and packaging design engineers who use NX in our day-to-day work. NX is easy to learn and adopt compared to other tools. We use it for connector design, and in my experience it’s the best tool ever. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Designcenter?

NX is sometimes very difficult for metal design. We use it to design crimp terminals, but certain parts of the workflow feel hard to handle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
